  1. Between Heitenga and Howard for me. Thought that Howard just tipped it due to his penalty save and his good performance even though he was carrying an injury that could be spotted miles away. He kept us in the game at some parts and was unlucky with the first and second goals. He was MOTM for me on Saturday. :)
  2. One of the funniest came a while back when Leeds United were in a lot of shit. Alan Smith was having rather a rough and frustrating game and took his anger out on one of our players. As he was getting booked the whole of Goodison started singing; 'Your gettin' sold in the morning' Which made me and the people laugh, along with the actual Leeds players on the pitch.
  3. @MikeO - I wasn't calling the Italians and I remember that incident well, the point I was trying to make was that if you have someone who will win you cheap penalties and free kicks then you are more likely to come away with the three points, whether that's sportsmanship or not it's a fact.
  4. Not expecting much from this to be honest and if we don't get at least a point Europe is totally out of the window. I'm expecting Everton to come out frustrated from the West Ham game and hopefully put in a good shift against Aston Villa. We will need to have our wits about us and maybe the game on Saturday gave them to kick up the arse they needed - who knows? I think that all in all we will come away with a point, 1-1. Saha to score after a well fought game.

    West Ham (home)

We can kiss Europe goodbye I think, unless we seriously buck up and win all of our remaining games. The performance yesterday was classical Everton, we come up against one of the worst teams in the league at the moment and can do everything apart from beat them. Saha looked lonely up from and was crying out for someone to come on and help him (Yakubu was too late) and I hate the fact that whenever we get a chance to cross the ball we float it in, rather than smashing it onto someone's head. The referee was a disgrace but I guess that we can't complain due to our shabby performance. No way was it a penalty and our shout was as clear as it got. We should have won 3-2, but then again we should never have let West Ham put two past us.

To be honest I would take 1-0. For me the three points is the important thing, a large score-line would be nice, but it's points that count in this crutial stage.
  7. I don't think that it was a sending off either. Puyol did run the risk but at worst he coul have been given a yellow card, the penalty is enough punishment. None the less it was given and Fabregas put it away like a true professional. Even with the score locked at 2-2 I think that Barcelona will blow Arsenal away at the Nou Camp either 2-0 or 3-0. Ibrahimovic, Iniesta and possible Xavi to pop up with the goals. If it wasn't for Almunia the tie would already be won.
  8. And it's only taken you a year Mike! Bravo!

If we don't score in the first half then I can see it being a normal score of around 2-0 to 3-0. But if we do score in the early stages then I can see this being a build on the 7-1 with Sunderland. If we score early then I'm going for something along the lines of 7-0, 8-0. Zola's last game in charge. Tim Howard's first hat-trick.
  10. I think that it's already getting too late for West Ham. With the poor pressure that they are putting on Zola they are only going to put themselves in more trouble. His time is definatly up and it's not really his fault, I hope he moves on and has a great managerial career If Everton beat them on Saturday then I think he'll go.

    Man City (Away)

Mancini what an absolute wanker :| Moyes would literally have him any day too, and I think he realised that afterwards to be honest. 2-0, lets get the third

    Manchester City 2 Everton 3
  13. With the excellent form that we have been on lately with the storm against Hull it seems like a win against Birmingham is definatly on the cards. Cahill coming back is a relief as it can only breed Arteta confidence, I expect him to have another top class game along with Landon Donovan (seeing as it's his last before returning to LA Galaxy) They don't have too much up front and didn't cause us too many problems when they were at Goodsion, I was shocked at how poor Faddy was for them. Everton 3-0 Birmingha City Arteta 30' Pienaar 45' Donovan 88'
  14. 'Alexander, the first black manager in English football, passed away after returning to his Lincoln home after Tuesday’s defeat against Notts County.' Didn't really know that much but any death is a loss to the game, RIP http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/leaguetwo/macclesfield/7361643/Keith-Alexanders-family-to-decide-if-Macclesfield-v-Hereford-will-go-ahead.html

    Man Utd

1-0 Everton. The only problems is that Manchester United will be really happy from their success in Milan, and Rooney is probably the best player in the footballing world at the moment. The only factor that could work in our favour is that they could be a little tired, and this could give us a little advantage. Our problem is that we have Fellaini out (which is a massive blow) along with Cahill and Arteta, who are not fully fit. We need to be counting on squad players to take control and take the three points. It's going to be tricky but I'm staying optemistic. Everton 1 Manchester United 0 Saha 90'
  16. No problem Be sure to check it though today cos' I'll leave you a friend request.
  17. Simple, if you own an Xbox 360 and have Xbox Live then stick your gamertag below so you can get played (and beaten ) It would also be handy if you added the games that you regurlarly play, so we can see who we want to add. I know that there is already a Video Game thread but this, I feel needs it's own thread, it won't cause too much discussion and will just provide a place to find Gamertags. dark: MGW1993 (Find me on FIFA 10, Modern Warefare 2) Graghsies: Grarghsies Aaron: AJR1989
  18. Does anyone on here have Xbox Live? My Gamertag is: MGW1993
  19. Don't want to predict this one, Manchester City with Mancini after the sacking of Welshman Mark Hughes. At home I'll go for an optemistic 2-0.
  20. No surprises there, think that he will do well in his first few games, but it won't last.
  21. Was just going to say that Bill, he has a cracking goal record but he hasn't played for a Premiership team, I think he's similar to a James Beattie, found his form in the lower leagues. A move up IMO would be a mistake for him because he's just not capable. We'll see next season though as he looks to be a Newcastle player in January.
  22. He might want to stay in the Premiership? And it looks like he will become the next Bolton manager but it's not a foreward step by any means, he will do well with them for a couple of games but I woulden't be surprised if they went down come summer. Burnley however have a problem as Coyle, IMO, was behind their success.
  23. A scrappy game that will go the same way as it did last season with Macclesfield. The lower league side will go out all guns blazing and we'll have to be switched on to overcome this, I think that we will after all we are far better than our opposition. I see us winning this game either 1 or 2-0. Baxter to score the first. Possibly a second coming from Vaughan/Billy
