  1. has just played some football, and won 2-0

  2. Yes but you have to remember that most of the players were released from the reserves. Players like Kissock didn't feature for the first team and most people won't even know who they are so Sky Sports dont really need to go into the detail of which reserve players have gone from each club. The key departures from Everton are; Lars Jacobsen Nuno Valente Andy Van der Meyde
  3. Is it worth buying ? Yes, especially at that price Is it a first person shooter ? Yes, but with the click of the analog button you can see in third-person (so both mate)
  4. couple decide to go for a meal and after some deliberation decide on their local Chinese restaurant. They peruse the menu and finally agree to share the chef's special 'Chicken Surprise'. The waiter brings over the meal, served in a lidded cast iron pot. Just as the wife is about to start in on the meal, the lid of the pot rises by a tiny amount and she briefly sees two beady little eyes looking around before the lid slams back down. 'Good grief, did you see that?' she asks her husband. He hasn't so she asks him to look in the pot. He reaches for it and again the lid rises, and he sees two beady little eyes looking around before it firmly slams back down. Rather perturbed he calls the waiter over, explains what is happening, and demands an explanation. 'Well sir', says the waiter, 'What did you order?' 'We both chose the same', he replies, 'the Chicken Surprise' 'Oh I do apologise, this is my fault' says the waiter... ... 'I've brought you the Peeking duck'
  5. I'd be really gutted if we didn't get Michael Owen (looking like he will be at Manchester United now) and think that there is nobody from Newcastle United that will be a better buy than him. Especially seeing as he would cost no fee at all. The players that I would like us to sign from Newcastle should Owen sign for Manchester United are: Obefimi Martins Damien Duff Think that Taylor would be a good signing too, he's a dirty bastard but a really solid defender. Would definatly improve the Everton team, a lot better than Championship level.
  6. Australia are a decent team so sixteenth dosen't come as that much of a surprise. Once they get back into the World Cup that ranking could slip down as the teams that Socceroos face are not that much of a challenge. The part that shocked me most about the rankings was Russia being one place above England 203 San Marino 203 Anguilla 203 Monterseratt 203 American Samoa 203 Papa New Guinea Failures
  7. England's youngsters were crushed by Germany in the European Under-21 Championship final in Malmo. The Germans went ahead when Mesut Ozil went past Martin Cranie and cleverly found Gonzalo Castro, who slotted home. Soon after the break, goalkeeper Scott Loach misjudged Ozil's free-kick and palmed the ball into the net. After England's Lee Cattermole hit the bar, Sandro Wagner collected Ozil's pass and fired through Loach's legs and also curled in Germany's fourth. Despite Wagner's late double, it was the outstanding Ozil who was England's chief tormentor. The Werder Bremen playmaker produced several moments of class and always looked dangerous on the counter-attack.
  8. Ian Watkins from Lostprophets is in that song
  9. Every footballer seems to be wanting to cash in on Manchester City's big money spending. Eto'o was always a player that I thought would follow suit, I'm glad that he has stayed with his feet on the ground and taken a step back, if you thought that Chelsea killed football then this is going to absolutely murder it, Manchester City have the funds to really kill the Premiership and football around them, I'm just so glad that starts like Eto'o have the sense to tell them where to fuck off.
  10. Thought that I would give this a bump now that the transfer season is well underway and signings are being made, how about we make this thread a sticky for the summer?
  11. Woulden't go as far as saying it was awesome, it's not bad but I'd be miffed if Everton did the same thing in blue. It's not as nice as the one they had in the previous season. It also makes me giggle how Defour is on the back of the shirts, wonder if he will still be in Liege at the start of the new campaign.
  12. Never know with Liverpool. They didn't handle Peter Crouch or Robbie Keane very well, two top players that didn't really cut it at Anfield (especially Keano) I think if we look further into it there could be more players that are not reaching their potential in front of the Kop. Maybe Pennant is one of them, it's been ages since he has played a game of football (I think)
  13. Delph is looking like a good player for Leeds at the moment and it seems inevitable that he will be heading to greater things this campaign. Everton look like the club for him and I've ever confidence that Moyes will get the best out of him. A great future prospect for England that can flurish in this team, all the best to him when he makes his switch to Goodison
  14. Would take the two front men, Mutu and Gilardinio. They would both fit well into our team and we do lack up front. At the moment there is only Yakubu that is an established goalscorer in the Premiership. Those two could hopefully improve our goal differance and allow us to break the top four (again) Your English is very good mate so don't worry. I hate it how people from other countries can speak English, yet we don't really know any of theirs back I guess thats the beauty of Google Translate.
  15. Felt? Seriously we need to drop Le Coq Sportif as the kit company. The shirt hasn't been the nicest that we have seen in years and now they want to have us with felt on our backs. The whole Premiership uses plastic, so should we. I'm still holding out for my Everton shirt (and printing) and am hoping that my mind grows on the new shirt. I'm really hoping that our away shirt dosen't have the V White again you reckon?
  16. No, but I might pick some up this morning. I'm interested to see what they are like I'm guessing you have had them Mark?
  17. 'For 74 minutes of the FIFA Confederations Cup final, it looked like a massive upset was taking place. But that's when Brazil turned the clock to midnight on the American run to the trophy. Luis Fabiano dug the Samba Boys out of a 2-0 deficit before captain Lucio scored in the 84th minute to give the Brazilians a thrilling 3-2 victory and their third Confederations Cup title'
  18. Said a few good words to me when I went into hospital for the first time. I didn't know what to expect at all and he was a sound fella. Hope we get some sort of update on how he is going, I'm wishing him all the best along with everyone else here on ToffeeTalk. GWS.
  19. Already been discussed in this thread. He won't be going anywhere at the moment. He will be under a contract and at his age David Moyes will not be willing to sell him, I don't think that there would be a repeat of Wayne Rooney, Manchester United would not pay that much money for Rodders. It's nothing to worry about IMO, he could well leave a few years down the line but at this stage he's going to remain a blue.
  20. Taxi said that many teams have switched between clubs and he is right, there would be no fuss over the transfer because it has all happened before. He's not even a huge star at Analfield so it's not as if he would be missed. Drama's like these I would only understand if we were on the verge of signing Carragher or Fernando Torres. Don't really understand why Real Madrid have been put into that list. They have bought Cristiano Ronalo and Kaka' they simply do not need someone like Jermaine, he is not the best of players anyways and with them putting the likes of Arjen Robben for sale I can't see what Real would be thinking, I doubt he would move abroad to be honest - I think that he will head to either Wigan Athletic or Hull City. I don't want him here, and I don't think he will come. This whole Liverpool & Everton saga seems to have put an end to any chance of a signing.
  21. Kevin Keegan again "Well, that's like asking me who is on my Christmas card list. I sit down with the wife and I say 'Did they send us one last year or this year', and if they haven't we rip the name up and throw it in the bin. But then, a couple of days after Christmas the card might arrive late so we do a card for them on the 28th and date it the 22nd and send it off and hope they don't notice...I haven't a clue what I'm talking about."
