  1. We all love Kevin Keegan 20 'It's like a toaster, the ref's shirt pocket. Every time there's a tackle, up pops a yellow card.' 19 'I don't think there's anyone bigger or smaller than Maradona.' 18 'The good news for Nigeria is that they're two-nil down very early in the game…' 17 'They're the second best team in the world, and there's no higher praise than that.' 16 'I'll never play at Wembley again, unless I play at Wembley again.' 15 'Shaun Wright-Phillips has got a big heart. It's as big as him, which isn't very big, but it's bigger.' 14 'You get bunches of players like you do bananas, though that is a bad comparison.' 13 'We are three games without defeat is another way of looking at it. But if we are honest we have taken two points from nine.' 12 'I want more from David Beckham. I want him to improve on perfection.' 11 'Argentina won't be at Euro 2000 because they're from South America.' 10 'The 33 or 34-year-olds will be 36 or 37 by the time the next World Cup comes around, if they're not careful.' 9 'You're not just getting international football, you're getting world football.' 8 'In some ways, cramp is worse than having a broken leg.' 7 'There'll be no siestas in Madrid tonight.' 6 'They compare Steve McManaman to Steve Heighway and he's nothing like him, but I can see why - it's because he's a bit different.' 5 'Goalkeepers aren't born today until they're in their late twenties or thirties.' 4 'Despite his white boots, he has real pace.' 3 'I know what is around the corner - I just don't know where the corner is. But the onus is on us to perform and we must control the bandwagon.' 2 'I'm not disappointed - just disappointed.' 1 'Nicolas Anelka left Arsenal for £23million and they built a training ground on him.
  2. How are we one of the most easily stereotyped nations in the world? Looking at America they are rather arrogant and ignorant to the rest of the world, not all the people but yes, America is an arrogant country.
  3. Going to get mine from Everton One as soon as I can. Not a fan of it, but still it's going to be worn with pride next season Everton One Opens.
  4. Pienaar wont go this season as he seems to be happy. He has expressed his interest with playing abroad but I do believe that he wants to have at least one more season with Everton in the Premiership. He is welcomed with open arms into the team as his work rate it sub zero. Each game he plays he contributes and it would take a fine pay packet to steer him away at this moment in time. I really want him to stay, he's an absolute legend at this club at the minute. Question off the top of my head then. £10,000,000 for Pienaar, would you sell?
  5. There aren't enough points. It's not violent enough. We didn't think the game up and it is therefore suspect. We have never won a championship. Were too fat Those five reason are the most likely as to why United States folk do not play football. I am not critisising Americans here because even though on the whole they do seem rather arragant and un-intelligent there are some nice people from there. The reasons for them not taking to soccer is probably because they didnt invent it, lets face it. Americans only really want to talk about what they have had influence with. And the last point, they are all too busy ordering in Burger King to play a nice game of soccer.
  6. Agree totally. I also think that if anyone is going to knock Arsenal from their 'fourth place perch' it will be us. We have had stability up the top of the table for a while now and have shown that we can get into the Champions League. It's going to be a good opener at Goodison, may the best 'Arsenal' win And we have one frog - Louis Saha
  7. Indeed. We don't want to see Jose Baxter turn out like Vaughan has done. Let's keep him well clear of injuries and play him when the time is right. He looked good against Blackburn and really changed the team (his enthusiasm went right around the team) I would like to see him again, but only when he and David Moyes are ready.
  8. Lars Jacobsen Joe Ledley Kyle Naughton Fabian Delph Stephanie M'Bia Stephen Hunt Micheal Owen Let's get all these^ contracted to Everton, they would improve our team so much. I know that I probably glamourise Owen more than I should but I really think that he would be an excellent addition to the team. And even though Lars is still here, he is out of contract, it is essential that he stays at Goodison Park. Hibbert is going to have to have some competition or play back up, either way Lars needs to remain blue.
  9. On the subject of changing numbers I would hold out until the first game of the season, I am sure the Lescott and Arteta changed their numbers way into the summer, the website is allowing printing now with last years names and numbers. It would be a little harsh if Everton were to change them, but as Mike said, anything can happen (it is Everton after all) I'm just going to hold out to get Owen on my back

    Jacko Jokes...

I dont mind jokes from this sort of humour, after all they are only jokes. The world would be a dull place if we could not have a laugh and a joke, even if it is about Michael Jackson, Gary Glitter etc... topics like that are the ones that makes us laugh the most. I have a few jokes, but due to the response 1982 got I shall leave them un-posted. Anyone is welcome to a PM of them.
  11. You've not been that active whilst I have been a member but you seem a really good guy. I'm sure that everything will be good for you both from now until the big day, best wishes mate Congratulations.
  12. Keith Hackett has made some amatuer decisions over the years and its good that he's getting replaced. It's just a shame that it's Riley that is taking over, a Manchester United fan through and through.
  13. All the best to you Jimmy. I'm glad that this was made public because I didn't know where you'd gone at all. I hope that you make a full and speedy recovery and get back online for the new season. Best Wishes from me. Get well soon

    Pre-season

I remember this game well, from the time that Coventry were in the Premiership. I think that Craig Bellemy was on their books then before moving onto West Ham United, here is shows how the game was won and how Coventry's goal was a penalty from Lee Carsley The game is going to be the testimonial of veteran Marcus Hall.
  15. Think I am the only person that likes the new shirt they have.
  16. I watched all of it and sent it round, hilarious
  17. Not too keen at first but now he looks like a good signing - right now I just want to sign someone
  18. I doubt that this one will come through and I am hoping that it dosent. His age is too much for what we want and his goal tally hardly turns heads. We could do much better than Sesma and I am optemistic that we will. It's not even certain that we have made an inquiry.

    Pre-season

The next game that Everton will play is against Asante Kotoko, a team from Ghana. I don't know about tickets for this game but they should be up on the official site soon. It will be good to see how the team copes with the heat and gets a result against these champions. Thoughts?
  20. Indeed, its the same as when we get rumours about Lescott and Cahill leaving in the summer. It's all media talk that just gets thrown around the tabloids. I'd not worry too much about where Moutinhio is going until he actually moves. I'm a little dissapointed that we wont be signing him because he's the kinda' player we need - once again Everton fall short
  21. One of the greatest players around and a player that would improve any team. If he was up front alongside the likes of Cahill and Yakubu we could really try and push for a Champions League place. I doubt that he would leave United at the moment - but if he did want to come to Goodison then he would be welcomed. Such a good player that did well for this club. Yes he did - he made 29 appearances for them throughout his Gunners career.
  22. Don is a good man and even when he left Everton and joined West Ham he came back and scored an own goal at Goodison If I remember rightly when he was playing for Sunderland at Goodison he was sent off, so he is still an Evertonian. The Everton Masters teams looks really good, Paul Gerrard is still a young goalkeeper that would probably keep clean sheets in most of his games. Having David Unsworth at the back is a real bonus, we all know what he is capable of.
