  1. For starters mini-skirts are for females and basically that is what he is wearing. The top is nothing short of a female swimsuit meaning that he is in a womans outfit. I don't know what bizarre thought came into his head when wearing those but I'm sure it must have been from a heavy night out. This is no act of sanity.
  2. The pictures are probably of the game in general. Just because there is a picture of Rossi scoring does not mean he will be an Everton player this summer. The Howard and DeMerit picture is nice
  3. Another good signing for Real Madrid. I was always worried that he would end up at Liverpool because of how good he is. I rate him highly and am really surprised he hasn't been in the Premiership. A time ago Manchester United wanted him and this summer it seems that he was being eyed by Chelsea. He'll definatly improve the team and help them catch an FC Barcelona side that are slowly running over the horizon.
  4. I don't think the Xbox 360 has Blu-Ray. I am in the same boat as you Jamie. I fancy a go of this years so I'll let you know if and when I play it. Head over to Gamespot or IGN for a nice little review on it mate
  5. England 0 West Germany 1 A poor headed from the defender that meant that a goal was inevitable. Nowadays that ball would have been headed well out of the box or at worst out for a corner, in 2009 an error like that would result in a substitution. I have to question to goalkeeper too, Banks seemed to get down slow to that ball and it didn't look like a good shot England 1 West Germany 1 The free kick was taken quickly and the defence didn't seem to cope with the cross. A free header for Geoff Hurst was asking for a goal and the keeper is left standing. Another poor goal to concede considering that this match is between the two best teams in the world. 3:50 England 2 West Germany 1 Once again the German defence fail to clear, a slice like that in their own penalty box was going to lead to an England goal. The defender on the line is beaten along with the goalkeeper and its another mistake that leads to a goal. England 2 West Germany 2 Scrambles like that shouldent happen. It's not as bad as the previous goals but if that happened in todays game questions would have been asked. A decent goal from the Germans but one which England could have prevented had they cleared the ball. England 3 West Germany 2 The goal that never was, nothing that West Germany could have done differant other than maybe getting a block in, this is probably the first goal in the match that was decent. The commentator makes me laugh when he says 'And the Germans go wild to the linesman - who can only speak Russian and Turkish' England 4 West Germany 2 Hurst jogged the pitch in that move! Great goal that one, the most important goal that anyone has ever scored for England.
  6. Perfect time to sell. His form for Fulham has been good but nothing of what he was doing at Crystal Palace and Everton. When he was up at Goodison England was on the horizon, nowadays he has slipped further and further down the pecking order and dosen't look like getting a first team place once again. IMO he is a good man, a good footballer but not good enough for this club. His goal tally hasn't been impressive at Fulham and without him we have been able to bring in better and cement another place in Europe. Felt the same about James Beattie.
  7. Nice free-kick. Wonderful celebration
  8. A present with the batteries worn out Nice work Mike.
  9. Don't know what he means. Fabian Delph started playing football at Bradford City until the age of eleven, from this age he moved to Leeds United where he broke into (and remained) in the first team. As of yet Leeds United have been his only senior club. Everton are rumoured to have signed him, I've seen this one a few websites that a £4,000,000 bid has been accepted and Delph has come to the Premiership from the third tier.
  10. Happy Birthday & Best Wishes to him :king:

    Pre-season

Everton Pre-Season 2009 10th July: Bury 12th July: Asante Kotoko Cancelled 18th July: Rochdale 26th July: River Plate 30th July: Major League Soccer All-Stars 2nd August: Coventry City 4th August: Blackpool 7th August: Malaga With Everton officially announcing that they will play River Plate pre-season I thought that we should have a thread to discuss these matchday games. Our team could be made up of players that we have now, or we could see some new faces. The game against the Argentinians is one that will prove a healthy challange and Phil Neville is already looking foreward to the event. Let's hope we can have a good pre-season Phil says: "Everyone who knows football knows about River Plate," he said. "I am really looking forward to the match and it will, of course, be a very tough test for us at that stage of our pre-season preparation. Any games between English and Argentinean teams will be good ones and although this is a friendly for both of us, I'm sure it will be keenly contested." Ghana Off Everton's proposed 2009/10 pre-season trip to Ghana will now not take place. The Club had been invited to travel to the West African territory for the first time to play in an exhibition game against Asante Kotoko on Sunday, 12 July. However, the Club has been informed that opposition would not now be available after the Ghana FA scheduled a domestic cup competition that clashed with the confirmed date. This means that Asante Kotoko will not be available to play in the game at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
  12. When: July (Any date) First Signing: Stephen Hunt Summer spend: £20,000,000 Think that we will have some money to throw around this summer with the sale of Joleon Lescott. We always seem to faff around in the window but hopefully this time with the right amount of money we can prepare for the next campaign better. IMO the first signings will be between Stephen Hunt & Joe Ledley.
  13. Ronaldo come out and said that the Real dream was over. I thought that he would actually stay at Manchester United for a good couple of years but he's gone and made the move to Madrid. It's inevitable that he will do well there, having a midfield of Kaka' and Ronaldo is going to be really good. I'm not his biggest fan but its sad to see him go. He always entertained the neutrals and some of his goals were brilliant. I remember watching his free kick against Blackburn Rovers with my mouth wide open, he's the greatest player in the world at the moment and with the £80,000,000 that United have they will not get anything like Cristiano. Best Wishes to him, he's going to set La Liga alight. Think that Ribery will be coming to Old Trafford now.
  14. That would be a good fixture with Steve Bruce being the new boss. This could be the fixture to avoid early on until teams get used to what Bruce has changed with the new team he is in charge of. I don't want any of the big teams to start with, I'd rather get an easy run of form before taking one of those on. If it was going to be on of the top teams then I'd say get Manchester United out of the way, because of what we did to them in the semi final I'd be a little more optemistic of a win It's totally random so I closed my eyes and picked a team. Hull City.
  15. Would want a new stadium that was ours. To share a ground would mean us forgetting the rivalry in a way, I don't think that the groundshare would be the best for the teams heritage. I'd much rather have a stadium all blue than half red (and I'm sure Liverpool fans feel just the same) Arguments I am willing to listen to, because we should do what is best for Everton as a club. So I voted undecided, because I don't want a groundshare but I'd happily allow it if we'd benefit.
  16. You can't win a prize for a competition your criteria isn't good enough for! Many thanks to those of you that have voted for me. Keep them coming through
  17. Same. I was quite gutted that he left because he always seemed like a good player when he played. We certainly didn't get the best out of him and it's a real shame how his Everton career panned out. Best Wishes to him with Blackburn Rovers but what he said in that interview was a bit naughty, at times Moyes was right to leave him on the bench. Contract has officially expired.
  18. JD seems to be the most active member on this forum out of the people that were up for nomination. I think that she has had some interesting posts (and topics) which meant she recieved my vote. Thanks to Xavier for being another friendly Red and to both Chicago and Raccy for keeping the boards alive.
  19. I think its great they play for their country, no problems.
  20. It's good that he has signed a deal with Middlesbrough because it would be a lame signing should he come here. The only reason that he is 'good' is because he is left footed. It's a real question as to why he gets so much attention, he shoulden't come to Goodison because hje simply isn't good enough. The Championship is his level. And thats another thing, he'd have to find his way into the team which just woulden't happen. No move this one.
  21. Peter Crouch on Kazahkstan tonight. I guess people will be watching today, whats the score going to be people?
  22. This move will never happen, he is a decent player but one that would never go into the Everton team for permanant. Lars Jacobsen is a much better player and at times Hibbert would do more than him. His wages are high at West Ham and he isn't the player that would want them reduced. He's not the type of player that I would like to see at Goodison Park and I highly doubt that he will.
  23. Manchester United They simply will not be caught next season. I dont think that anyone will have a good chance of taking away their Premier League crown. They have won it so many times and have a fantastic manager at the helm, they will take someone will big investment to stop them which is just not us. Maybe in years to come, but not right now. They are still many many miles ahead. Liverpool They seem to be getting stronger with each season and I'm a little thoughtful about how they will do next season. They did have a good run out this time round and if Rafa can stop being a dick for a second and stay on task he might just be able to do the same. They are also out of our reach, but in years to come who knows, they could finish under us, again. Chelsea They could be taken because of the new manager. I don't know that much about him but if he pulls a Scolari then Chelsea could have an uphill struggle to keep their Champions League football. I'd say that they were looking out of reach, but never say never. Arsenal These are the team to get round because they can be taken - they have looked poor this season and its only a matter of time before the slip out of the Champions League places and hand it over to another team. That team is Everton.
