  1. I would be suprised if we are not soon under the ownership of 777 Partner. However, I wouldn't minded being under the ownership of an Indian company. It sounds like interest in football is developing at a fairly rapid pace and it wouldn't do any harm in being the poster club in India - second only to China, the potential for quite a fan base - but a lot easier to access.
  2. so good to hear him say '... we are in a nice place at the moment...' . It has felt like such a long time since anybody with anything to do with the club has been able to feel or say this. Lets hope its a trend that continues in all aspects of the club.
  3. exactly this, Dyche et al have got this lot well drilled now, it's a long time since I have seen an Everton this fit and with so much energy. This side battle and battle. Heads could have gone down given there we not getting the results they deserved in the first half dozen games. took Liverpool getting a penalty to score and took a deflection for Brighton to score. we have become a tough nut.
  4. pickford had fuck all to do all game, all game we looked more likely to score a second than they did a equaliser, they got a fortunate deflection. Fuck all to do with tired players as in the last 15mins we had much better chances.
  5. I was good to see the lad rewarded. pretty much made that goal himself. just the sort of thing that will hopefully see his confidence increase, making a positive impact from the bench.
  6. it may not have been any sort of classic performance, but winning is a habit we have not seen from Everton in for a while. long may it continue. 3 goals a clean sheet and spot in the QFs does me just fine.
  7. for the money being paid for Beto and Danjuma fees and wages wise, they should be more that capable of putting in a performance in a cup completion or in the Prem when needed, this is a squad of players not just a starting 11. It's not like suggesting we fill the team with youth or a second string team it's about utilising the squad of player. beto and danjuma should be 'hungery' to get on the pitch and show there worth. if they don't then you sub on DCL. 30mins plenty for DCL if wanting him to play 90mins one the coming weekend.
  8. it is also about getting some decent game time for other players. I would like to see Beto and Danjuma starting this game. I think from a squad moral point of view it is important to give finge players game time. This helps them be more effective when subed on or if the need to come in to the team due to injury etc. can't help but feel DCL is still needs treating with care, so a rest on the bench for a mid week game would seem sensible at this time. same with Harrison as well.
  9. Braithwaite. Icing on the cake was winning that ball that led to our goal. Big shout for Onana as well.
  10. But if you read through Myers tweet, he says part of it is for the stadium, but doesn't know the details. Do you know different? Or just speculating it needed simple to keep the club running.
  11. Yeah, I though he had a good game as well - I would love it if he could just start to add the occasional goal to his game.
  12. I can't quite understand the Dyche negativity. We just went away from home to a team who won a European trophy last season, and came away with a deserved and not a 'nicked' three points. We also had other very good chances and maybe unlucky only to come away 0-1. A deserved clean sheet, and the West ham fans booed their team off at the end as we out battled them for pretty much the whole game. when the highlights are on MotD tonight, it will be pretty much all Everton, with the pundits giving us the plaudits and the Hammers the hard time. off the back of two seasons of being deserved beated game in game out, with next to no transfer budgeted spent, we are actually being competative in games, and are really unlucky not to be 6-9 points further up the table. this is massive progress on the team of the past to seasons.
  13. That was another deserved away win. We out battled and out ran West Ham. Any win away from home. Starting to get a gap to the relegation spots, and I think we are slowly developing in to a team that the opposition teams will not be looking forward to playing. To me this foundation of a team you can build from.
  14. We are such a different team with him.
  15. Let's not allow west ham any momentum.
  16. Not a great game, but the home team hammers fans will be enjoying it less than us. Lacking a bit of quality, but think we are winning more of the individual battles than they are. Keep that up second half and 3 points for the taking. We should be 1 up, as Harrison really should have scored the best chance of the game.
  17. A bit more composure and this game is there for the winning.
  18. Yeah, definitely. It should be the premier venue for concerts and other major events etc in the North of England. Not many places you can go to a venue of this capacity, with the facilities we will have and be right in the business part of the city.
  19. Out of interest, has anybody see any sort of projections of what sort of additional revenue the new stadium is expected to generate per year.? It will have increase capacity, probably an across the board ticket price increase, significant corporate packages, increase general match day spending in and around the stadium, non footballing events. 20-30m a year? More?
  20. Its says '..working capital..' then a bit further down he say which '..includes the stadium..', but he '... doesn't know the details'. Don't think he mentions 'day to day running costs' of the club. You would think give the transfer activity if the past few years and significantly reduced wage bill our rolling 'day to day running costs' of the club as on a more even keel and not desperately in need of £80M to keep the club running. If you are building a £700m stadium over 36months it works out an average of £20M a month, and given the phase of construction we are in at the moment we are likely to be in a period of a fair few significant payment. The MSP £100m put in will not last that long and definaely will have not covered the stadium cost, it mostly likley went to the developer almost immediately. It will have only covered a percentage of the cost. I am only speculating but would hazard a guess that given what is going on BMD a signficant proportion of any £80m working capital input at this moment time will be largely to do with the biggest spend in the clubs history.
  21. Most of the stadium cost is going to be on borrowed money and £80M will only be a small percentage of this. It makes sence for them to do that if they are most likley going to be the new owners. Why get other financial people involed with the club if a full buy out purchase etc is being sorted and is imminent. New owners would want to have as much control of any financing or debt as possible. I would guess soring out financing etc is 777 partners bread and butter. I don't think 777 will have any isses gaining the required approval.
