Either we need a British team or we need a Celtic Nations team. If Wales, Scotland, and the two Irish teams merged, they'd offer up a strong team.

How tiring is this Loan argument nonsense??? All of a sudden Everton are cheating by loaning players? Lukaku is costing approx £5m for this one season - near £100k a week.

If anything it is a stupid argument, we had Lineker on a permanent deal and had him for one season. We owned Rooney and had 2 seasons... we could get Deulofeu next year and it will be the same without the profit - so what is the issue???

Its just sour grapes, did everyone kick off when Bolton had strurridge or wilshire?

The one thing these bitter fan hold on to is "ah, lets see what happens when they have to send them back" - my answer will be...

"The same as what Martinez did before but with the added bonus of being able to prove that young talent develops at Everton - so roll up roll up PSG, Real and Barca, give us your multi million pound 19 year olds, we will get them ready for your first team whilst getting 4th place and the revenue to compete in the perm market"

The person who wrote this should have looked at the stats first. This article was on mediawatch (Football 365) as well. (See below).

    Loan Rangers
There is a wonderfully bitter piece on the website of the Metro today, written by Paul Mannion, who describes himself as a Newcastle United supporter. That much soon becomes clear.
Mannion pens a criticism of Everton's use of the loan system, hinted at by the headline 'Why Everton are out of order for signing so many loan players'. However, the reasoning and logic of the argument is flimsier than tissue paper in a hurricane.

'Everton deserved their victory over the Magpies at St James' Park but the flattering scoreline highlighted the growing problem of loan players in today's Premier League,' writes Mannion. 'The Football Association need to address the Premier League loan system to stop it having an adverse effect on the table.'

There are already rules in place regarding the loan market. Clubs can only sign a maximum of two players on loan from another Premier League club. So that's sorted.

'A third of Everton's starting line-up were on-loan players from the world's elite clubs and their whole team is built around them.'

Three is not a third of eleven.

'Without Lukaku, a world-class striker who would be beyond Everton financially if they were to attempt a full transfer from Chelsea, as well as Deulofeu and Barry, the Toffees wouldn't be anywhere near a Champions League spot.'

A Newcastle supporter criticising Everton for being able to take Lukaku on loan, and thus giving them an unfair advantage, would be a lot easier to swallow if Newcastle's manager had not spoken about taking the same player on loan just 24 hours earlier.

"I think he is a player a lot of clubs will be looking at in the summer," Alan Pardew said of Lukaku. "I don't think Everton will get a free run at him."

It would also be an easier argument to accept if two of Newcastle's three strikers (Luuk De Jong and Loic Remy) were not on loan, with Remy the club's top scorer and actually contributing more goals than the 'world-class' Lukaku this season.

A very drunk man went on a bus one afternoon. The bus was pretty full as it was a busy day in town. Sitting on the bus was an 80 year old woman along with her poodle, sitting on her lap. The drunk man staggered along the bus and sat at the empty seat next to the old woman. Not amused, the woman huffed and puffed for the first 5 minutes of the journey, obviously unhappy about the state of the man next to her. After a few more huffs and puffs from the old woman, the man turned towards her and asked:
"What are you doing with that pig?"
Disgusted and ashamed of the man's lack of knowledge and rudeness, the old woman turned towards the man angrily and replied:
"This is not a PIG, this is a POODLE!"
To which the drunk man replied:
"I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to the poodle!"

In his last few games, Romelu has given some seriously underrated performances. He's become more than just a sledgehammer, giving decisive passes and assists. He's become a playmaker up front, a striker in a more and more pivotal role. I think he's developed tremendously from a player who often couldn't really pick out a good pass.

Not sure about this season but if I win £127M on the lottery sometime soon then if I go to Vegas and put the lot on one number on a roulette table and if it comes in and if Bill will sell the club to me and if I can then buy Messi & Ronaldo and if they score 40 goals each and if we keep Kone then I think we could qualify next season

A young New York woman was so depressed that she decided to end her life by throwing herself into the ocean; but just before she could throw herself from the docks, a handsome young man stopped her.
"You have so much to live for," said the man. "I'm a sailor, and we are off to Italy tomorrow. I can stow you away on my ship. I'll take care of you, bring you food every day, and keep you happy."
With nothing to lose, combined with the fact that she had always wanted to go to Italy , the woman accepted.
That night the sailor brought her aboard and hid her in a small but comfortable compartment in the ship's hold.
From then on, every night he would bring her three sandwiches, a bottle of red wine, and make love to her until dawn.
Three weeks later she was discovered by the captain, during a routine inspection.
"What are you doing here?" asked the captain.
"I have an arrangement with one of the sailors," she replied. "He brings me food and I get a free trip to Italy ."
    "I see," the captain says.
Her conscience got the best of her, and she added, "Plus, he's screwing me."
"He certainly is," replied the captain. "This is the Staten Island Ferry."

Said it before, and say it again, it was only a few short months back that Liverpool were a mess and providing weekly humor to a nationwide audience and Rogers was a sure bet for termination, and look at them now, damn fine reversal of fortune however you feel personally.

They want to win the league championship again so much and while realize it probably won't be this season, they'll take heart from this seasons endeavors and come back strong next year with some fine acquisitions in the close season. Make no mistake about it, I can't stand the club in question, and wish them nothing but failure and misfortune, but hard as it is to admit, they deserve some level of credit for turning the ship around.

We have a good thing going here.Martinez is trying to make us a team that plays attractive football but we don't really have the players to implement that style effectively and as results have shown we are still a few players short of being a top 4 team. The board seem to be happy enough with finishing in the top 10 every year. It's time for the self proclaimed biggest Evertonian ever to provide Martinez this summer with the resources he needs to turn us into a top 4 team.

Dad, cancel my allowance, forget my college tuition fees. Rent my room out, sell my TV and laptop, sell my car, throw me out of the house and write me out of your will.'
'Blimey' his mate said 'she actually said that'?
'Well, not in so many words, she actually said Dad, meet my new boyfriend he's a Liverpool supporter and he's going to get both of us season tickets at Anfield.

Although to be honest it is something I was not overly concerned about, it is nevertheless a bit of good news.

Some not so good news too of course but if I take each little problem one at a time and get them sorted, the bigger problems should take care of themselves ..... hopefully.

I don't see the issue of people thinking he has launched an attack on Moyes. He was asked a question publicly on twitter and he replied "correct on both counts" then when pushed a bit more he gave a bit more away. He's not logged onto twitter and just slated him unprovoked.
