I think he is a talented player who with a little experience and moulding will do well. No rush to get shut. Loan deal superb.

Pienaar and Baines was a makeshift combination that worked well.

It's not just about those two, as they play triangles with another player. There is nothing to suggest Mirallas couldn't do the same, or anybody else. What we do know, is that if Pienaars natural game is right sided, and Mirallas' natural game is left sided, and Fellaini's natural game is defensive midfield, and so on, then everybody is playing out of position to cater for one aspect.

I expect the sensible thing to do would be to experiment, knowing we can always revert if necessary.

If it was proved that Oviedo for example, can play left back, and also attack down the line, then it gives us the option of selling Baines and adding 2 or 3 much needed players. "Shock horror " some will say at the thought of selling Baines, but it 'is' a plausible option.

We could have Adolf Hitler as a potential captain.

Very attack minded and points almost as good as Neville. Perfect for our Movember period too.

Why would anybody want Wigan to be relegated?

They are a North West side, who despite being a Rugby town, have fought their way to the Premier League without a pot to piss in, just like us. They play remarkably good football for a team struggling, and are probably the best value ticket in the division for fans. I doubt very much if the lads who go to away games would want them to go down and Portsmouth to come up.

When have we been a 'mid table' side?

The only teams to finish above us 'regularly' are the big money sides. Everton are better than every other team, some of which have a few quid. When we are all fit, and have a midfielder in the team, we have regularly been compared to Barcelona, and play some of the best football in the league, so it's not as if Moyes doesn't know how to play football. However, opinions are just that, so I won't tell you that you are wrong, even if I think it's a little narrow minded regarding the bigger picture.

It's not our position that frustrates me, but our performances. We are light years away from our first 6 games.

I'm a bit annoyed with the current uncertainty of our club, both on and off the pitch.

I am 100% a Moyes man, but I can't help but get agitated by his contract situation. I'm of the opinion that it is having a detrimental effect to our team, and combined with the Fellaini saga has caused a negative distraction, not to mention the feelings of the fans.

Last time he didn't sign, we played poorly, but once he commited, spirits improved and we became decent again.

With our team in such a good position, it makes little sense to have this saga continuing. Everybody except a small minority want him to sign a new contract, but if he is going to leave, then leave now, and give another the opportunity to take us forward while we are in good shape.

Kenwright won't sell Fellaini in January, unless Moyes agrees, as the fans would turn against him, so sign the contract and let's get on with the show.

We can understand it if his reluctance is to ensure he keeps his players, but if it is to ensure a prospective club get him on the cheap without compensating Everton F.C then that is not on.

    Make your mind up Davey.

    It's not just about Jelavic.

We are empty in the middle, and need to fuck off this idea of playing off the striker, and instead bolster midfield.

Naismith, and Osman were shite tonight, and Pienaar wasn't much better. Our movement off the ball is also unenthusiastic, and lethargic. What pisses me off most is when the seconds are counting down, and they are arguing over who takes the throw in.

Well, you could go from one extreme to another I guess, but a few good results and things change quickly, as we know only too well ourselves. Any side that wins the Championship, and then qualifies for Europe the following year are doing something right.

At the moment, things aren't running on all cylinders, but time will tell.

I'd also like to reiterate that my initial statement has been well and truly taken out of context, and needlessly had it's focus turned to Newcastle.

Please take a look at that list and tell me the statement I made is exagerated or not a fair comment. Unfortunately, the small minded amongst us chose to challenge Newcastles inclusion. The fact that they are part of Southamptons next 9 games appears to be irrelevant to some.

Whether they are good or not is down to opinion.
