  1. Joooohhny!! so close!
  2. Was just going to comment on that myself. Perhaps he's realised that he's gotta attack more if he wants to keep Coleman on the bench.
  3. Billy!!! bottled it. We've started pretty decently I think, bit nervous that we don't concede an early on, as it may have a bad effect.
  4. Sounds ominously like: He wants more money, and we've said we haven't got it, take it or leave it! I don't like the way a lot of this seems to be being done in the papers, and not behind closed doors.
  5. Gotta laugh, back to the same old frustrating Saturday afternoons - frustrating streams and frustrating Everton. Oh how I missed this. Fortunately I've gotta leave for this wedding now, will keep my fingers crossed we can get a result. COYB!
  6. Everton: Howard, Neville, Jagielka, Distin, Baines Osman, Arteta, Fellaini, Pienaar, Cahill, Saha. Subs: Mucha, Hibbert, Heitinga, Beckford, Bilyaletdinov, Gueye, Rodwell.
  7. I would mate but there'd be no good stuff for at least week.
  8. Been looking forward to this one for some time but am gutted now I'm not gonna be able to watch it. As I've got a wedding to go to. Tried to blag the missus into letting us just go for the second half the do (ie. the evening do) only, but no joy. COYB, hoping for a good start this time round.
  9. I hate the whining, cheating, diving coont. I hope he stays where he is and they get relegated to the 3rd division.
  10. DailyMail Beeb Think it was a but cowardly and unfair to announce that Beckham was not going to play for England again on the TV, but for me it just goes to show what a twat this Capello guy is, even if Beckham is too old. He should have been given a little bit more respect than announcing it in an ITV interview, then offering a morsel of condolence with a farewell match. kbonheda!
  11. I'd rather see Johnny in that DM, than Neville. But I can see it's going to be awkward this season, I suppose Moyes will want to play Neville somewhere, but where, when there are better players that play in those positions.
  12. Got a feeling that this saga is going to drag on for some time yet. I can't see this being sorted out before the transfer window closes, maybe he'll leave in January, maybe he's waiting to see how well we start the season and if we've got any chance of winning anything this year. I'm a bit bored of it all now to be honest, I wouldn't be bothered if he went now, as long as we got enough money for a decent replacement; and if we lose him on a free next year, then so be it.
  13. Maybe the DailyMail misquoted their 'sources' and it's 1-point-3 million. Then perhaps we would be able to afford that.
  14. I'm not being funny, but the more I look at this guy the more I think he hasn't really got a clue. What he should be doing is bringing in the young players and getting a young team ready for the championships in two or even four years time - I thought that was what everyone agreed after this year's fiasco(?). Instead, he's asking players like Wes Brown and Paul Robinson, both 30+ (granted for a keeper that's not such a bad age), who at least have the decency to refuse the selection and resign as internationals. And on top of that he leaves out players like Rodwell, who have proven themselves at under 21 level, and was arguably the best young English player in the premier league last season. (Maybe that last statement is a bit biased, but at least top 10 - which should easily make the team.) It's people like Jack Rodwell, that I think he should be building his team around, picking players, that are going to be hitting there prime in two-fours years time, not the likes of Lampard, Gerrard, Terry, Zamora, who are going to be hitting their mid-thirties. Give these young lads the chances to play, get them playing as a team, give them the confidence to play, and work it out so that they are hitting their prime (individually and as a team) when the championships come round. If I was Capello (and the FA for that matter), I'd be aiming for the big prize - To take the World Cup home on Brazilian soil in four years time. Sod the Euro's I'd be using that as a opportunity to give the team the necessary experience for playing in a major tournament, then using that experience as a platform for then going on to win the World Cup. English fans are not that arsed about winning the Euro's, it's the big prize every one wants. But wtf do I know, I don't even support this team.
  15. I think Moyes will start the season like this: Howard Hibbert Jags Distin Baines Billy Arteta Felli Peanuts Cahill Saha I can't see Moyes starting Seamus, though personally I hope we get to see him. I'd also like to see Gueye come on for a good run out in the second half, as well Beckford (see what they can do in a Premier game). I think we'll win but it won't be easy. 1-0 or 2-1 to us.
  16. Great to see Felliani back, Magaye Gueye looks like he might turn out to be another Moyesy gem, Beckford looks pretty decent so far - he's making some good runs and, more importantly, is scoring goals. Coleman is a beast, and I think he'll feature a lot more this season. All in all, I'm looking forward to the next match and more so for the start of the season. COYB
  17. I think Bainesy is on for the 2nd half
  18. btw.. it was Gueye who provided the assist. He's looked pretty decent in the pre-season games so far. Got a feeling he could be a nice little gem.
  19. Yep! nice to see Felli hasn't lost his taste for a tackle
  20. Great to see Felli back on the pitch!
  21. Arteta and Felli on for the second half, along with Gueye and Turner in goal
