  1. If that chance had've fallen to anyone but Phil Neville, I'm sure we'd all be celebrating 3 points now. I can't believe we've thrown away another 2 points to those cheatin, dirty .... We're a much better team than they are. The worst thing is that I think that mean our season is pretty much over, nothing much else to play for, I think 7th is too far out of reach with just 4 games to go. Gutted there'll defo be no Europe next year
  2. That Ashley Young is one dirty fuckin shit, god I hate him!
  3. my link seems to have died sorry :/

  6. Aha, fair enough. Thanks for putting me straight
  7. The way I understand it, a Europa league place only goes down to seventh if the FA cup winner has already qualified for the Champs League. Same with the League cup (that's why 6th is good enough, cos Utd will (certainly) finish in Champs League position). Is that wrong? Edit: the only other option I'm aware of for Europe League qualification is through the Fair Play system, but we've no chance there, we're 11th in Premiership Fair Play Table.
  8. The way I see it's a crucial six pointer. If we win, then we've still got something to play for this season, admittedly, we're depending a lot on other people's results, but we'll be just 1 point behind them and even with their game in hand they've got tricky games against City and Brum. If we lose then I think that will certainly be our season over, 7 points behind with four games to go. Mind you saying that, all this talk about 7th getting us into Europe may all come to nothing. There's still a chance Spurs could finish 5th and win the FA Cup, or for that matter Villa as well. And then we'd need to finish in at least 6th spot. Either way by this time next week we'll either be excited or deflated.
  9. Gonna throw some (pessimistic) double psychology in here. No one expected us to get results against Chelsea or Manu, best games bring out the best in our squad, no one expected to drop points against wolves, west ham, stoke etc. ?? Well, my prediction, we'll lose: This is as bluenose said, a relatively 'big game' - possiblilty to get right up behind Villa & L'pool for European qualification - therefore we are now expecting us to put in a performance and turn up for this 'big game'. However, by expecting us to turn up and get a result means that we'll walk away with nothing. This has got a loss all over it. 2-0, 3-0 to them, seriously, maybe more. Stay in bed boys next Wednesday (or get an early night), cos it ain't going to be nice to watch. (On a brighter note, every time I've predicted a loss this season, well... let's just say I'm tempting fate )
  10. Just read this on the OS, got a little pissed off to be honest. Link Apart from the fact that it's obviously propaganda telling us with fair warning that we've got no money for the transfer market this year!! What get's me annoyed is that if it's so true, why have we had shit results against the likes of West Ham and Wolves recently, got done by Brum 3 times this season and failed to turn up for countless numbers of games this season, both home and away and in Europe?, Does anyone know when our best run was this season, erm, was it when we had Donovan. We do need more numbers, not many, but at least that one. I'm thinking we may hang on to Senderos, but cover for Baines has also got to be high on the list. Let's be honest, if Baines get a long term injury, we're gonna be shit on both flanks not just one. Or, wait a minute, is this Phil Neville getting worried, he might get dropped from the squad if we get any more players in?
  11. ^^ agree with the above as well. I'm not too sure about letting people go, but I wouldn't mind if Yakuba went to help finance a deal for a striker who is more 'active'. Don't get me wrong, I like the Yak, but I think we could get a few quid for him and invest that in someone who works a little bit harder to score and create goals. For me, I'd be completely satisfied if the only activity we saw this summer was to bring in Donovan, I thought he brought a fantastic dimension to the team. When he was on the wing, the team looked much more balanced and a real threat down both sides. ( I do find we are generally one sided in attack) A midfield of Heitinga, Arteta, Felliani, Peinaar and Donovan (strong and creative in the centre, and pacey and tricky out wide) plus anyone from Osman, Cahill, Rodwell, Billy can also come in and do a job.
  12. To rub salt in the wounds, just checked the L'pool score and they drew with Brum. A win would have seen us 3pts behind them and Villa. Another wasted opportunity! F@@K C@!t T@#T MO#'ER F$^K!N A£$E D!%K W&^K B@!!@CKS!!!!
  13. Results like that make me feel sick. I don't know how you guys saw it, but we just didn't get out of the blocks today. What annoys me the most, is that I've lost count of the number of games where we haven't got the result for that exact reason. If we show up we look world class and like we can take the world on, when play like we did today, we no better than West Ham, or any other team battling for survival in the Premiership. Bitterly disappointed with the result and the performance once again. Can someone remind these players what the club motto is, ffs!
  14. yes, thank f#ck for that. Please don't screw up now.
  15. can see this petering out into a dismal draw. I just hope that's not the case.
  16. We need to up the tempo here. Otherwise we'll be dropping more points again EDIT: what I mean by that is: if we win today, we go to Villa next week knowing that a win there will take us above them. COY-F'in-B!
  17. I agree with LexKing a little that I'm a bit wary of predicting anything for this game. I'd like to say we're gonna walk all over them but WH are fighting for their lives and really, really need a result, I don't think it's gonna be easy. Saying that if we can get a goal in early it might just knock what little confidence they have, but the longer we leave it they may actually grow in confidence and think they can get something out of the game. A point would be a good result for them, disappointing for us. Personally, I'd like to see us do a City, and score 3 in the first 10 minutes. After that it should be a walk over ;0)
  18. Never thought this was going to be easy but we should have scored at least one goal. Disappointed overall would have been nice to be on the same no points as Villa and RS, but at least it's a point.
  19. Was just about to write that we need to make a change and it looks like the Yak is coming on. COYB, just one goal should do it ( )
  20. sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/90338 quality's a bit poor but its all I can find
