  1. Lovely to see us the first name on the list, top of the/a league
  2. Get in, great game, great result. well chuffed! COYB!
  3. oh get in, im not suffering anymore ;D
  4. come on lads. i'm suffering here.
  5. We're gonna have to keep our wits about us now. I'd be surprised if United don't start really piling it on now in the last ten minutes.
  6. get in goooooooooooosseeeeeee!!!
  7. what a strike from billy-la!!
  8. Sorry, my bad. It's through force of habit - my gf's Polish and Jak (pron. Yak) is a word I use quite often, meaning 'how' (for example - Jak się masz? - how are you?). When I say the word Yak in my mind, it automatically comes out Jak. I'm confused, sorry!! I like idea of the love child though As for score predictions: 1-1 Johnny Evans(OG) + Rooney, or 3-3 Saha and Rooney hat-tricks
  9. I wouldn't mind seeing Jak up front with Saha just behind in Cahill's role. Saha did alright there the other night when Cahill came off, however, there's a lot of running to do in that position, and I'm not sure Saha could do it for the full 90. This would be my team: Howard Neville-Distin-Heitinga-Baines Pienaar-Arteta-Osman-Billy Donovan Saha I'd maybe swap Billy, Pienaar and Donovan around a bit to try and mix it up. Rodders would probably come on with about 15 minutes to go, in place of Arteta, and Jak to replace Billy about the same time. I'd also try and get JV a few minutes, bringing off Saha to a standing ovation after his hat-trick
  10. Maybe this is how were gonna fund the summer transfer kitty - charging people twice for tickets !! Seriously, though, I hope you get your money back.
  11. Admittedly he didn't have a good game, but I wouldn't say woeful. To be fair, Sporting pretty much marked him out of the game and he didn't get much support from Neville.
  12. With a bit of luck he may just make it back for the start of next season, at least that's what I'm hoping. If not then at least, hopefully, he won't miss too much (ie. as Jags & Arteta have this season)
  13. I feel strangely gutted. We should have kept a clean sheet. I think it's gonna be a difficult game over there. Mind you, we played well at times. Anyone taking bets for penalties??
  14. nice one. i'll take that.
  15. Glad we're ahead at half time, they have looked a bit dangerous at times though, so it might be worth trying to get another one of we can to take over there with us. Saying that, a clean sheet has still got to be a priority. The red card, hmm I'm not sure about that, at first it looked like a foul, and he was the last man, but the replay's not conclusive. Don't see why Saha would have gone down though as he was clean through. Let's just hope that's not gonna be the talking point in about an hours time.
  16. COYB! (sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/81774) working well for me. :0)
  17. I have to agree with some of the other posters, that he should wait to give full judgement until next season. From what I've seen of him, and I can see others have noticed this, he has shown some glimpses of quality. It looks like he can deliver a ball, he looks like there are also a few goals in him, however, on the bad side this season, he has looked at times a little of the pace. But I definitely believe that he's got it in him to be a quality player for once he's got used to the speed of the game and had a proper pre-season with us.
  18. I think Saha gets for me, just for making Terry look like a right expletive. Thought Billy did well in patches, Donovan had another great game, and both Ossie and Arteta did really well. You could see Mikey tired towards the end though when a few too many of his passes started going astray. Heitinga had another solid match, looks like a really consistent player, which is what we need at the back (looking forward to seeing him and Jags in the back line). Distin was alright, loved the moment he floored Ballack, thought the ref may have given them something for that. I've got to say though that I though Neville was the worst player on the pitch for us. Seemed to go asleep again a little for their goal. However, there's lots of positives and confidence we can take out of that game. Thought we might have succumbed in the final minutes to an equaliser as they really piled on the pressure, but credit to the lads for showing steely character and determination to get a well deserved three points - COYB!
  19. Never been so happy to be proven wrong. After they scored first, I did think we done for, but credit to the lads, for showing fantastic character. Admittedly Chelsea were not up to form, but that's a valuable three points we got there and I'm happy about that. I may even start predicting losses more often if that's the effect it's gonna have. Looking forward to the Sporting game now, but still not getting ahead of myself as far as Manu are concerned. However, I don't think as strong as they used to be and if Spurs play like they did last night against Wolves theirs a good chance we could get 9 points from the 4 games this month, which would be a great result for us.
  20. I just came on to post my prediction, and to be honest I'm quite surprised to find that no-one seems to think we've got a chance in this one. Don't get me wrong, I was going to post a 2-0 win to them anyway, I was just expecting that you guys would be a little more optimistic. Nevermind. We won't score in this game, I just can't see where it's going to come from. Unless we get a penalty or a free kick just outside the box. As for them, they will score, and what makes me sick is that they will be two sloppy goals from our point of view resulting from bad defending. I don't think Coleman will start this game though as some are suggesting, although he looks good going forward, I don't think he's ready defensively. I think Moyes would rather play a not quite fit Hibbert ahead Coleman. However, I think he'll keep Neville there and start Arteta in the middle with Ossie. I think it'll look something like this: Howard Neville-Distin-Heitinga-Baines Donovan-Ossie-Arteta-Billy Cahill-Saha
  21. haha, In my opinion, we're not along ball team in the main, but I will grant that we do definitely resort to this tactic when things don't seem to be going our way. However, if you look at the recent games where we've played our best football, we've tended not to hoof it forward to much (Distin excluded! ). I know the derby are a different game all together, but I'm hoping that the we can take some of that into the match on Saturday and show them differently.
  22. Was inspired to brave the red forums myself, and from what I can gather they are shit scared of Cahill, hate him with a passion. Please Tim, grab yourself a hat-trick.
  23. Reading that fills me with confidence, if the team & manager (Liverpool) itself think the same thing then they're gonna be in for a shock. COYB!
