  1. Get in mikky on the bench. COYB!!
  2. Well I'm glad we've at least got someone in. Let's just hope he does well. If he's out of contract at the end of the season, I presume we could then get him permanently on a free?
  3. I'm looking forward to this one, not sure exactly why but quite excited about it. Feel pretty confident we'll win. Still sticking to my previous prediction. Just hoping there's gonna be a good stream about. COYB
  4. Chrome rules. Firefox once ruled. IE never ever ruled.
  5. There's a regurgitation of the story on Sky Sports too. ..oOo...
  6. If Arteta is on the bench today, I'll be made up, I'm sure pretty much like everyone else. However, I'd be very surprised if he gets any minutes on the pitch. I'd love to be at the ground to hear the cheer that's bound to erupt, when they do read his name out. I think even putting him on the bench, will just give the crowd that extra lift, never mind the players.
  7. a small uninteresting point: his name in English would be "John Fly" (as in the annoying buzzing flying creature, caught by spiders). Uninteresting I know, but quite a cool name, nonetheless.
  8. I'm not too sure about Senderos's ability, but I think he'll turn out to be a better signing than Jo, at any rate, whether he'll do better then Niell did in his short time here, is open to question. However, we need numbers at the back and looking at the transfer market at the moment there are not that many decent defenders out there with Prem experience. He may not be the best player for us, but I think at the moment, firstly, he could do a job (ie. fill in and backup), and secondly, he may be the better of all evils, considering the players that are available to us in the transfer market.
  9. Maybe he's looking to get a transfer back to us. Someone should tell him though that we only do loan deals and that Madrid is a bit warmer than Liverpool.
  10. I forgot that this a was a cup game, I think we'll be even more up for it. I think also the news that Mikky, Rodders and Jags are not far from coming back will also add a bit of inspiration. I'm expecting 3-0. Saha, Felli and Donovan. Tim Howard will also save a penalty.
  11. I thoroughly enjoyed that. It's a joy to watch our team playing well again. Hope we can continue it into the second half.
  12. Sorry, my post made no sense. Edit: We'll sail this one into the fifth round. 3-0
  13. From the Daily Express... Don't know how much truth is in that but was a bit surprised when I read it - are we really that good at negotiating deals, or were City that desperate.
  14. I pretty much agree with every word there bluenose.
  15. I'm expecting at least 7 if not all 9 points from the xmas games, we should win both our home games, (Brum & Burnley), though the Birmingham one may bit a little more difficult. Sunderland away, we should be aiming for a point, but there's no reason why we shouldn't also be able to take 3 points from them as well. However, those games do come quite quick and fast so we just need to keep our fingers crossed that there'll be no more injuries to deal with and that perhaps Ossie is back.
  16. I also received this mail, it looks ok to me, I don't think it's spam or phishing. It's from the usual address that I get (EvertonFC) stuff sent to me from. Also it leads to the real everton site, so I don't think there it anything dodgy about it. From reading the email, it looks like they didn't think ahead and set up the site/users database properly in the first place and are now trying to rectify it. Good luck to them I say, I think they're gonna need it.
  17. I'm hoping that we can be in the top half of the table by New Year. I think if we can do that, and then either get some more bodies in in January, or get players back from injury, then we should have a good chance - perhaps not of finish as well as in recent seasons, but I think maybe 7th, 6th at a push - that at least is what I'm hoping for. In terms of other predictions - I'm not sure we'll see much of Jags or Arteta till next season, especially not in top form, as mentioned above. However, it also looks like Vic "who" Anichebe, Vaughan (who I know is injured but also on loan) won't be back any time soon. As for Neville and Osman, maybe they'll be back a bit sooner, but the way things are going with us, who knows! However, if we can get ourselves in the top half by the end this month, then I'm sure we'll be in a much better position to kick on.
  18. Well we're coming up to the half way point of the season now and I was wondering where you all think we'll finish in the end. I was partly inspired by Arsene Wenger's recent claim that the title race is not over for them after this weekend's results. Arsenal are now 6 points behind the leaders with a game in hand. Not a bad position to be in actually. I started thinking about our position and wondering what sort (and I'm expecting there to be some sort) of comeback we will be able to stage over the coming months. Our aim surely has to be top 6 and a Europa League position. At the moment we are 9 points behind City (6th Pos.) and they have the game in hand (Not such a good position to be in). I think we'll do better than Birmingham, Fulham, Sunderland, Stoke, Blackburn, Burnley, and Wigan (all above us at the moment), but that will only leave us 8th, and without a European place. Of course, we should be looking at where the likes of City, Villa and Spurs are and be in, around and above where they are fighting it out.As it stands, it looks like we are going to need all three of those teams to have slip ups, and drop points, along the way, and hope that we've done with ours for the season. I would be gutted not to be in Europe next year, I think this competition is great for the club and its supporters. While on the subject of Europe, I personally don't think with the current squad and injury list we have much of a chance of winning it, and I think I'd like to reserve my judgement on that until the new year and see what the situation is with injuries, transfers and who we're tied with. The same goes for the FA Cup. Though again, for the same reasons, I can't see us going all the way this time. What does everyone think? 8th most likely, acceptable? European Place next year? Maybe you'd take 8th for another Cup Final? Or maybe, that's all too optimistic and you think our troubles not being over that we could be looking over our shoulders for the rest of the season?
  19. I bit more attacking than usual I guess, however, looking at the bench, I don't think Moyes has any other choice but to play that eleven 8/ I just hope we don't get any more Injuries and our defence can get a firm grip on Drogba, Annelka, Ballack.. and the rest.
  20. Coleman - when you hear words like "WHEN YOU GET YOUR CHANCE IN THE FIRST TEAM, TAKE IT!" - well, I think Ol' Seamus is a good example of what that means on the pitch. Well played lad.
  21. Bit disappointed we didn't get all three points, but Spurs played well, enough to score two goals, and in the end I'm just glad we took something out of the game. We're playing much better than we were recently but we're leaking goals, and just haven't got our mojo working properly up front. Coleman for MOTM.
  22. it's gonna be important who scores first I think. And that really needs to be us.
  23. Though Pienaar ran his socks off again.
