Will be gutted if we lose this one. Stoke have a poor away record, I read somewhere they average 2 goals (against) away from home, so we should be looking at 2 or 3-0. Clean sheet and Saha(turn and half volley, Felli(head), and agreeing with some above, Heitinga (long range stunnner).

I haven't seen Billy play yet, but he seems a beast - how many goals has he set up now!!

To be fair, I don't think I was an out and out "dive". There seemed to be a lot of tugging going on in both directions, Rooney seems to go down, maybe trying to get something on the ball, maybe just in frustration. A read elsewhere a few people saying that maybe Slovenia should go to FIFA like Celtic did. However, it was only a friendly, and I think the ref just made the wrong decision at the end of the day. I don't think either player should have been booked, and the ref should have just played on - a goal kick I think it would have been, and no more would have been said about it.

I read that he might start training again in a couple of weeks, but then he's gonna need a few reserve games before he can start playing Prem matches, so I reckon it may be sometime in October when we see him starting again. I'm gonna hazard a guess - around the BATE Borisov game on the 1st Oct.

We've been drawn away against Hull, not a bad result to be honest. Ill take that.

In the "What the Papers Say" section of the OS, Moyes is quoted as saying "I’m hoping to do more than another two [transfers] if I can. It doesn’t include Banega." Does that last sentence mean on top of Banega, or that he's given up on Banega? Also, elsewhere, it mentions that we may give up on him if its not sorted this weekend.

Not so bad a draw I suppose, but could still be some tricky games. Does anyone know who we'll be playing first, and whether it'll be home or away?

I really don't understand this at all.... why have they gone and had a work permit for this guys approved, when it looks like they haven't even come to an agreement with Valencia or Banega about him coming here. Something's not right here.

I think we'll go with a similar team to what we had at the weekend, except maybe Jo starting instead of Saha as American Evertonian said above. I think our main goal should be to just come away from there with a clean sheet, if we get a goal or two so much the better. Our defensive performances have been poor recently, and I just hope we can start showing a higher level in this area. I reckon we'll win though, and I'm gonna go for 2-0.
