I keep digging myself into a deeper hole.. I'll continue to read posts, participate in the predictions and enjoy site though.. refrain from posting much

No need to refrain from anything. That little exchange earlier was entertaining and what makes this forum fun.

We all out have our moments. But the banter is generally in good heart. Keep posting!

  2. All we have to go on really is a bitchy Instagram post.

For sure, behind the scenes, there's a lot more to this, but Dyche hasn't been slagging him off in press conferences.

Also, if it's true that he was doing similar stuff at Leicester then that tell me it's a character thing.

I just think they are more grown up ways of handling the situation than posting snide posts on social media. I personally believe that people who behave like that are rather toxic. Hence my get rid comment.

If Dyche has blocked a move, that's a different topic, but that's on Dyche. And most definitely the wrong call.

Other than the insta post what had DG done wrong to be in the situation he’s in.
he’s not being utilised a couple of clubs come in for him and apparently terms are agreed then Dyche blocks the move why are we keeping him we are paying him wages probably not a lot but still significant over a couple of months.

for me this is poor from Dyche personal vendettas should not affect the club just get rid he could have gone 2/3 months ago and saved us some money

So that’s it then it’s all Grays fault and yet nobody really knows what’s gone on.

I haven’t said that at all.

I’m talking about his behaviour on social media. It’s immature and bitchy. It shows a certain lack of character in my opinion.

I don’t know what’s gone on, but from all the noise around this it does seem to portray him as entitled and with a chip on his shoulder.

Sorry but I don’t completely agree. This team is low on confidence & belief - he sent out a strong team. The 2 most experienced players set the tone in the first minute - Keane’s no look back pass & Pickfords touch. We needed to settle in to the game but gave them every ounce of belief with that moment. Yes the players were poor after that.

3 changes at half time & Maupay on who got the assist for the winner. Other managers would have waited until 70 odd minutes or 2 goals down to change something.

As long as you partially agree, I'm fine with that. 😆

And I don't completely disagree with you. I just don't think the win should paper over what was an embarrassing first half. It really was like watching schoolboys: passing the ball to where players were 5 minutes ago; running forward with your head down straight into deadends; balls bouncing around everywhere; running around like headless chickens; frantic, panicked, and amateur.

It was obvious we were playing straight into their hands; their crowd were bouyed, and they were lifted by that. We needed to calm it down and take the sting and impetus out of them. They were obviously going to be up for it, pumped up with visions of giant-killer glory. We were never going to beat them at that game. And perhaps Gana should have come on after 20 minutes to offer that bit of composure.

But I agree, the right subs were made at half time and we managed to impress a bit more dominance in the second half. Hopefully, we'll kick on from here. But I'm not forgiving that first half because it was an absolute disgrace.

  6. Will give opposition defenders a lot to think about. Could have had a hattrick really - if the goal was a few inches wider and Gana had have played him in earlier at the end.

Some of his passing/crossing was a bit wayward, so I can see him being a bit frustrating at times. But it's great to actually have a proper striker.

  7. Better second half, and glad we managed to pull ourselves out of the shit. Hopefully, that win will give us the jump we need to get our season started.

Beto - at last a proper forward player. Can't wait for him to become the next Lukaku! Can see plenty of holes in his game, but at least he scored. Maupay even looked better playing off him, able to to run around a bit more and link up play - as for the second goal.

Overall, just relief we got through that, and that we didn't have to suffer the agony of penalties.

However, we can't let the win whitewash that diabolical first half. Someone has to answer for that, and that someone is Dyche. If we'd have gone on to lose that, I'd have been straight on the Dyche Out bandwagon, and I'm not one for changing managers at the drop of the hat. But he's showed tonight that he might well not be up for the job, because there's is no way we should have been played off the park and embarrassed the way we were by the worst team (position-wise) in the country.

But if we don't get a result against Sheffield United at the weekend, especially if we play anywhere as near as badly as tonight or we have done recently, then I think the wolves will be out.
