  1. This is actually a really interesting and informative watch, gives an in-depth view of him as a player and a insight as to how he might fit in our team and where Lampard might want to improve him. Convincing myself he's better than we're thinking.
  2. Just noticed he's only failed to feature in 2 PL games in the last 3 seasons, and he's started the vast majority of those (5 appearances off the bench). I guess that's a bonus, he clearly has a natural fitness about him, far too many sick notes in our squad.
  3. One assist all season, however created something like 50 more chances (or so, from memory) than our highest player last season. Not that I want him here, but hopefully that softens the blow. Edit: 47 more chances than any of our players. Source is EFC Statto on twitter so reliable.
  4. I suppose we have to wait until the end of the window to see if other areas are addressed properly. Granted we have priority positions to fill, but its hardly likely were going to fill those priorities in order.
  5. Prices quite often seem inflated by the media/ITKs, if we sign him my guess is we won't be spending £34m on him.
  6. From what I've read of him he is a wing back more than a traditional full back. Looks like Lampard is strongly in favour of us playing 3 CBs this coming season.
  7. I wonder if we paid a premium on players to get them earlier in the window instead of waiting last minute, losing out on top targets and settling for lesser quality players every summer would benefit us in the long run.
  8. Yeah I was just having a laugh. Or trying.
  9. Back up player absolutely. An absolute upgrade on what was our back up player for the CF position last season anyway.
  10. Love his podcasts but not sure he is what we need right now.
  11. That's good to hear someone speak positively. I haven't seen much of him play, I just think fans are getting tired of signing this mould of player though... The "not good enough for the top 6" standard. I.e. Delph, Iwobi.
  12. Thanks mate. Seems pretty steep in my eyes. I'd imagine the fee would include plenty of add-ons.
  13. How much is being quoted? I didn't read any links (sorry I'm lazy)
  14. Half a million a week to look like someone's left a gummy bear in their pocket on a warm summer's day? Where do I sign up?
  15. It's difficult to think a new owner could do a worse job than Moshiri. But then again, we are Everton.
  16. He's making the right decision, I think he will suit the German league and really has the opportunity to make a name for himself. The lad wants to play football, if he stayed here I doubt he would start more than 15 games for us across all comps and at 25 that's not good for his career. I'm really disappointed that the club offered him a new deal but I wish him all the best, he's blue through and through and has a fantastic attitude. Good luck Jonjoe.
  17. Well there are certainly benefits of keeping him on, I'm not sure they outweigh the negatives though (mainly his quality).
  18. Looks like a good player but I can't help but feel he would be a Richarlison replacement
  19. Some footballers want to play. I suppose it depends on how ambitious he sees himself as. He might be up for the challenge at Chelsea, or he might be happy sat on the bench waiting for his turn (possibly not considering his loan history). Lampard could convince him I suppose, I just feel it's an unrealistic signing for us unless like you mentioned, on loan.
  20. I've not seen us linked, but would anyone oppose to us signing Namaja Matic on a short term deal if the funds were right?
  21. Doubt Chelsea will want him to leave. Doubt we will be willing to pay the huge fee that will come along with him (rumour has it £50m). Doubt he wants to play for a team that scraped relegation last season. That being said, I'd love him here. He was immense last year and has a huge career ahead of him. If we could get him on loan and he doesn't sign a new deal with Chelsea in that time, he will only have 2 years left of his current contract.
