  1. Must not lose* sorry, I got excited after I realised I fancy Frank Lampard a bit.
  2. He's very open and honest, you can tell how much of a professional he was as a player. He makes me disagree with @Romey 1878s comment about it being a must win. Seems to calm everything. I don't think it's the end of the world if we lose tomorrow, but I do think if we win it will put our tails right in the air and we will be well up for Leeds at Goodison on Saturday.
  3. I hope to see a change in formation to a back 4, but won't be too sad to see him stick with something similar to the Brentford game.
  4. When you look at the return for goals and assists this season it'd be naive to put Gordon ahead of those two. But it's a difficult one as he has been one of our best players this season and seems to be enjoying his football. Lampard will also want to get Alli involved pretty quickly. It won't do much for his confidence if he's on the bench for the next few weeks.
  5. Yeah it's a nice headache to finally have. Does Alli take Gordon's spot against Newcastle if Doms fit though?
  6. The question is where does Gordon stand when we have DCL, Richy, Alli and Gray all fit and ready to play? I think he's played his way into this team with his performances this year - but will Lampard want Alli to get some games in as soon as possible?
  7. I always feel Andre Gomes looks more like Andre Gomes when his hair is long
  8. Just watched the highlights. We looked like we had some real intent going forward. At some point we will get caught and punished playing like this, but what's important is the players learn to deal with it and not let it knock their confidence. I think Gray, Gordon, Richarlison and DCL could benefit massively under Lampard. If Gordon's first half strike would have gone in that would have been some goal and one of real intent from him. He really is growing in every game even despite the club's current circumstances. Just needs to add some more goals this half of the season if he gets enough chance when Dom returns.
  9. It just seems to be the most "luxurious" stand I suppose, and you can go for a ciggy at half time, or so im told. Whenever I've sat there I've been right next to the grass, when I peref to be higher up, so that probably effected my opinion. Atmosphere is nothing on Gwlady's either - which feels so far away. I'm always looking over wishing I was sat in and amongst it.
  10. A little late on the post but I hope you have a great time! The view from Top Balcony is stunning, but you need a taste of Gwlady's for the atmosphere at some point before we move. I've only ever sat in those two sections, as well as Park End although I wouldnt reccommend it.
  11. I can see us doing better than Leeds, Brentford, Palace and Southampton but will be keeping a close eye on Newcastle, although I doubt they will finish above us either. That would leave us 12th to challenge Wolves, Brighton, Leicester and Villa for a top 8 spot. 6th or 7th we have no chance. I'm not sure how sustainable Wolves football is, and Brighton are a good team but draw a lot of games. Villa and Leicester have a very strong squad, so they're the ones we need to be challenging with. I voted 13/14/15, but I'm going to change my mind and say 10th.
  12. In Lampard's press conference he was talking about how he likes the look of Alli playing off the striker, saying he thinks he's more effective further up the pitch.
  13. He speaks very well and seems likable. Hopefully this reflects on the players which I'm sure it will. Can honestly feel a real bounce back against Brentford.
  14. I'm sure I saw somewhere else that he's due to miss the league game too. Sorry to be so ambiguous, I can't be bothered going to find the sources.
  15. I saw on twitter he didn't train due to injury and won't feature in the Brentford game.
  16. I can see people saying a lot of things about Ali not being able to do it for 'years'. It was only 2 seasons ago he started 21 league games and had a return of 12 contributions. He missed 13 matches due to injury that season. That's better than anyone of our midfielders could achieve. If he can have a season with that ratio I'd be more than happy with his purchase.
  17. We were missing a player in the Klaasen role when we had Klaasen
  18. Yeah Spurs will be getting something out of this deal 100%. Levy is the tightest owner in football. Edit: probably should have phrased that slightly differently, but I'm going to leave it as is.
  19. I'm confused, I don't think that's how it works.
  20. There is no way United aren't selling him in the summer.
