I can see where you're coming from, and it would be benificial for Garbutt to get some 1st team action and Ovideo to establish himself in the squad in what is ment to be his preffered position (I think), however Baines has just sealed his place in the England team as the 1st choice left back, plus he is outstanding there, why change things around now? Baines looks as if he's 1st choice LB with his familiar no. 3 shirt Jags, again looks to be a starter with the same shirt as he wears at Everton, no.6, with the no.5 shirt going to Cahill. Barkley not been given his usual no. 20, but no.21, with Adam Lallana being handed no. 20.

If we sign him for £20m, its safe to say we have a striker with all the potential in the world, the currently ability to bag around 20 goals a season fully fit, and a striker who will spend years and years at Everton, or fullfill his potential and leave for over double what we paid for him. Or flop and we've wasted £20m! But lets face it, he's the striker we've needed since after Yakubu's first season, especially seeing as we're going into Europe, which I believe he would excel in.

To be honest I wouldn't lose sleep if we did'nt get him for a second season, his decision making is worse then Drenthe's, however, I do know the lad can dribble and create something out of nothing.

Right now other areas of the team need improving on or depth added to them, we have three or so players that can play in the RB position and Hibbert is going to probably get a short term contract on a miniscule wage. That suits me for a season or so.
