  1. Best case scenario is Bobby leads us to FA Cup victory and then is head-hunted to manage Spain, leaving Moshiri to hire a top manager to replace him.
  2. This for me, too. He gets my vote although Lennon tried his nuts off and it was good to see Stones have a solid game too.
  3. I thought Elstone would be one of the first out the door after a handover period. How did he manage a promotion to the board instead, given his track record of underwhelming commercial deals?
  4. I've never liked West Ham, but this season - with their competing for the same players, their new 'free' stadium, and their arrogant chat and moans about our players - I've started to wish bad things upon them. Just seen this, where we are apparently "thugs" now. I hope we get to play them and stuff them heavily. Would have loved that to be in the final, but the SF will have to do if they get past MU. http://www.westhamfans.org/content/martinez-thugs-reward-awaiting-replay-victors?
  5. That's all really good to read apart from the specific reference to Elstone. Hope he doesn't keep him around beyond the end of the season.
  6. Still down at Cambridge and playing every game as they chase the play-offs. Good interview here:http://www.cambridge-united.co.uk/news/article/-ledson-positive-us-loan-is-doing-him-a-world-of-good-3002119.aspx?

  8. It's great to see him talking so positively about next season: "...as a team, we are going to get better as well. Next year, next year is going to be fun. This year is exciting, next year even more. “I can’t say Leicester are going to be champions or we are going to make it to the European spots. But they can and we can. It’s that close. But next year? I can’t wait. I am excited.” http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/everton/12152121/Everton-striker-Romelu-Lukaku-At-the-moment-I-know-I-am-good-really-good.html
  9. Ross was excellent and it was good to see him keep going when things weren't going right for him, rather than hide like he did at times last season, but MoM for me is Aaron Lennon. He netted when it looked as though we never would, worked his little socks off, and seems to lift the whole team. Honourable mention for James McCarthy, who closed down anything that moved and looked right back to his best. Hopefully the enforced rest has done him good and he'll finish the season in good form.
  10. The article makes it seems as though he's not happy to be on the bench, but how can he really expect to be playing more games than he has so far? He can do a job for part of a game, and he's shown he can still do a job (for part of a game) but surely he can't realistically expect to have started more games than he has this season? He still shows some lovely touches and he has a cool head on his shoulders, but he comes over has having a bit of a whinge here.
  11. Seems a level-headed lad: http://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/Everton-teenager-Ryan-Ledson-life-Goodison-Park/story-28625803-detail/story.html
  12. It seems the Belgian press ask a lot of leading questions of their players, who aren't shy about speaking their minds. It often happens when they're together on international duty. Remember how there were questions about Felliani and quotes from him and his dad every time he was away with the national team? Nowadays it's happening every time with Lukaku. Their media just seems to thrive on speculation about their national players and their futures.
  13. Yes, he made good use of his chance today, worked hard and scored a cracking goal.
  14. Just started watching Making a Murderer yesterday and I'm already hooked so appreciate the lack of spoilers.
  15. It's probable we'd pay something like £3m 'up front' with the rest based on appearances, performance and a sell-on, especially for a young player. I hope we get him; there's every chance he would come on in leaps and bounds with us and he's a similar style of player to Coleman, so an ideal understudy and eventual replacement.
  16. No problems with Yarmolenko's age at all. We'll be losing a fair bit of experience with the likes of Naismith, Pienaar, Hibbert, Gibson, McGeady, Osman all unlikely to be around the squad after this month/summer, so bringing in a 26-year-old with his European experience is the right type of addition for this squad.
  17. Phew, they've just changed the score back to 1-0. Good opportunity for Pennington.
