  1. Spurs have kust came in and offered 28m and double the wages we offered. He has decided to go there for footballing reasons.
  2. That's it Newty, come on here with your shit! Trouble making fking.... Good post though mate.
  3. But he's 33! Another year before he takes a massive dive in form...maybe. Would rather us be looking at younger better players, like Manolas.
  4. I thought he would come good... I got it very wrong. Payment was a contract negotiation by the club. Don't blame him for that, it is as his entitlement due to the contract. Don't remember being in any survival scraps with him. He made a few bad signings but also made a few good ones. He had us playing entertaining football but was too stubborn to work on his defence. His dancing was ... ok His shoes were pretty smart to be fair. But he had to go. That was the correct decision.
  5. Ahh so we're offering another payment stretched over five years thingy magig!
  6. So it is us then that's holding this up and not Utd? I presume they have named a price that they will sell him for? I heard a rumour that they want to recoup the money spent, but I also heard a rumour we have offered that. But it's defInanely us that are holding this up?
  7. It is with an option to buy which means the price is already set. He could bang in twenty goals and he would still go for the same.
  8. I honestly think that people give Martinez way too much credit. To say that he coached the fundamental aspects of football out of seasoned professionals is absurd for me and I don't think that Martinez has the ability to do that. Again, Koeman may come good and this window could be massive for him. But I expected more in six months than this. Like others have pointed out, what makes Koeman so special that he needs longer than most other managers? Why are so many managers dumped after only a few months? Is this because of dumb arse owners or shrewd business men that don't need years to notice when things aren't right? I am just used to taking responsibility for my own actions and that of my staff. I expect other managers to do the same, and when we roll over so easily... it disappoints me that no one seems to take ownership.
  9. But don't you see... now on is making excuses for the previous regime. We're just pointing out there isn't much difference now.
  10. Got to admit I ignored that post as it was plainly obvious you had not meant it in any way racist. Someone trying to fish there I think. Bad bad taste.
  11. MC you are a season ticket holder. What do you see? Is there anyone in the team trying to galvanise us? Is there spirit? What is it that we are missing so badly. I feel absolutely on the floor today.
  12. For me this is honesty. Klopp If I pick the players they are ready. If not it's my fault, not their fault.
  13. Agree but it was still his most productive season. Same argument as Rom scoring a hat trick to boost a tally etc. So let's single out Barkley. What has Koeman done about his slump? How has he managed him? Have we seen results? And this is my point. Koeman hasn't been any better than Martinez. Football is worse. Again I highlight, hasn't, as I am not saying he won't get better. I just don't see the progress that others are seeing. There's no fight or passion, guts or heart, nothing.
  14. Honesty. The players did shit, I don't understand why they played like that. Hmm refreshing isn't it? I can do this job, it's easy. So shukes, you managed to get Barcelona relegated in your first season. Yes, I'm not sure what happened! They just played badly. But I need more time. Yes I know it's a completely different scenario and that we finished 11th last year....but our season was still alive by this time last year as well. And that was with pretty much the same players as last year.....with a supposed diabolical manager. And with Koeman we are.....well, out of both cups at the first hurdle and nine points behind sixth place.
  15. I do remember Pad, honestly I do. But I also recognise that by then he had lost the players and that it took a year and a half. Now we play the most boring football this club has ever played... sorry... in my generation. And we are humiliated pretty much every week. Barkley has gone from his best season ever, to a bit part player that no one wants in six months. Most of the players you mention above are t in the team, so we can't use those as an excuse for our poor showings now. I am not calling for his head at all and I also want to see what he can do until the end of the season. But for me a season is enough. If he can't turn it around with two transfer windows and a full season then he just is t good enough.
  16. Guys the 10m was a contract drawn up and offered by us. We approached him for the position. If he made us such a mess then let's get rid of the dross eh! Lukaku Gerry Barry Barkley ( most give him credit for bringing him through) Let's also bring back Felli and give Man U their money back. What I don't understand is that if he was SO bad, why haven't we made a significant improvement no we have a top manager after six months? How many of Martinezs buys are our first team players that Koeman is having to put up with? Niasse isn't Cleverly isn't Alcaraz has gone Lukaku is Robles is
  17. It's was 0-0 and we looked like we were goain't to get ahead. Manager made subs and we lost 1-2. Yes we scored from one of those subs but it upset the balance and we lost the match at a whimper! The manager made those decisions but the players need to take the blame to. If we win the manager takes the plaudits for an inspired substitution.... he should also take responsibility if those subs don't work out. Facts are facts....it did t work out.
  18. I wouldn't say a 20m flop, but rather a recognised premier player that isn't in his arrogant managers plans. I look at Ademola as an exciting prospect that I honestly can't wait to see.
  19. Can't care as I only heard it on the radio. Sounded like no one stood out at all. Subs worked against us so the manager needs to ask questions about his own tactics.
  20. Is that season over already? I actually feel sick. I cannot describe it, not angry, not disappointed, just sick. It's almost like it was just a formality.
  21. We can say what we want but in the first half it sounded like a goal was coming without us really being under any pressure. We scored and fell apart. Subs have gave us more impetus up top but also left is vulnerable at the back. Sounds like we have just changed back to last years team.
  22. Not very often we can say that subs have changed the game.
