He's more a sub for the national team and 30m is more of a rip off than Bolasie. Sorry if I sound harsh but I watched him closely after we let him go as I thought he could be good for us......he is an average player. As long as we don't go in for him I'll be happy.

I don't think it's that as he has been playing Holgate. But if you compare the two players, I don't think any would agrue against, Holgate seems a step ahead.

Cant agree in the upgrades mate. Stekkers is an upgrade on Robles for me. Williams is one of the premiers top defenders...an upgrade for me. Bolasie against Mirralas...hmm not sure. Both are hot and cold. Gueye is very much an upgrade for me. I do agree we need that signing that will add creativity to our middle.

I saw it more that way too. It was almost apologetically saying the club hasn't offered him a new contract... So sorry I am off. Went quiet when they asked him if he wanted to stay......said ye very quietly with a smirk.

The players we have brought are all upgrades. We are steadily building a better squad than we had last year. Bolasie isn't a below average player in any stretch of the imagination. 30 is too much, but them again so is 96, or 46 or 65. Stats should be banned from football fans. We have been here so many times, and still we all have Fifa brains. I will wait until I see these players play for us and then judge the old fashioned way.....if we win, they ate good, if we lose I'll blame them for third world starvation.

Haven't watched him a lot, but when I have he has always looked dangerous. One thing of note is that he doesn't go down easily, he seems pretty strong on the ball. Even as he falls he seems to he hanging a leg out to keep control of the ball....Pogba'ish.

At 15m we would be getting a great deal. Would be a good foil for Lukaku. When we're not creating a lot and we need more hustle and bustle, take Rom of and put Bony on.

A good captain will motivate a team and lead by example....you don't need to know the players to do that. Just hit your first match with heart and soul and the players will take note.

Now I am excited. This is just the type of signing that will improve us. Add Gueye and his energetic style into the middle and all we need now is a spark. It doesn't even need to be a first team player, just someone to keep the likes of Lukaku and Ross fighting for thier place.

I agree..Stones isnt our best defender. He probably will be one day and he is without doubt one of our best prospects. But he isn't our best defender. How cost is reflective on his age and promise just as much as ability. If he was 30 would we be offered 50m for him?
