FairWooney
I'd say he'd go to Chelsea or Arsenal. Looks to have huge potential and I could see one of them taking him on. EFC-Paul
Not one that i would be slightly hopeful for sadly as he will cost a fair few bob and surely a few of the bigger clubs have their eyes on him.
Bulletproof Tiger
I think he's great but another club will probably get him.

troy8
Juve are after him ! http://www.football-italia.net/aug09b.html If that's the case then they'll probably get him. We would only have a chance if we sell Pienaar and use Elia as a replacement, even then I'd doubt we could persuade him to come.
Steve_E
According to Elia himself Juventus, Liverpool and Everton tried to get a loan deal with an option to buy in the January window. Apparently he really wants to leave Hamburg because he can't get along with his manager. (http://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=138232) He does seem to be a lot more excited about joining Juventus or Liverpool though. Also he says, Wolfsburg offered 20 million euros, but he didn't want to go and fight against relegation. aaron
He will end up at a bigger club than ours unfortually due to us probebly being outbid when we say £0.00 over the next 24 years, he is an outstanding player though, would be exacally what we need, think of Walcott on the left, but better. Romey 1878
think of Walcott on the left, but better. That's not much of a recommendation tbh.
shetland
Absolutely quality player from what I've seen so lets just end this now. absolutely ZERO chance of this happening
smeghead1
Hes more likely to join a club playing C L so thats us and the shite out of the running!
Steve_E
He has signed for Juventus. Dutch sources claim Juventus pay £3,5m now, 2,2m in January 2012 and another 2,2m in January 2013. So that makes £7,9m.

Lowensda
This is the sort of signing we need, not only that, he'll be fighting to get a spot in the national team, this would be silly to pass up (IMO)....especially considering LD will be going in a couple of weeks. EFC-Paul
I tell you what Newcastle will have a cracking midfield if they get him in. Elia------Cabaye----------Tioté-------Ben Arfa Envious...the bastards are turning into a very good team that midfield could be as good as any in the league easily Edited January 26, 2012 by EFC-Paul

Elia------Cabaye----------Tioté-------Ben Arfa Envious...the bastards are turning into a very good team that midfield could be as good as any in the league easily My thoughts exactly....and with the likes of Vuckvic, Guitierrez and Obertan to fill in, thats not a bad team. Ba and Cisse now as forwards, with reliable guys like Leon Best and Ameobi on the bench. Davide Santon, Collocini, simpson, the taylors and williamson, they've got strength in depth now. Newcastle will be fine this year.

Romey 1878
He'd be a great signing. Lets hope we've maintained our interest and we look a better club to him over the other clubs that will be interested.

Guest blueboy122
Agree with Ten, this wont come off as am sure alot of top teams will be looking at him, athl.madrid, the milans, bayern etc. But I would love him here. Great pace. Why is he allowed to leave Juve?
