L_Blue
he's passed a medical now anyway so we at least know he isn't crocked, when VDM signed for us did he have a medical cos he was injured at the time, do you reckon we just signed him hoping he was gonna get fit? Romey 1878
The thing is about Lescott passing his medical is that it hasnt been confirmed on the official Everton site which is a bit confusing, i remain on the fence until Everton confirm it

We still want him because hes had a full season after the operations without a relapse.

Adam
A few reports coming out from the Wolves chairman that Everton want more time. He still beleives that a deal will be completed begining of this week. DM has been away and expects to complete when he returns. Doesn't sound good to me. Don't think this one will come through. If not sure about his knees can understand but he played all 50 games for wolves last season. http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0400eve...-name_page.html http://icbirmingham.icnetwork.co.uk/mail/s...-name_page.html Read into it what you will
MikeO
Pisses me off that they put "Lescott to beome a blue" on the official site four days ago but now keep completely silent. Some sort of explanation would help...instead they just act like nothings happenning.
Adam
Its one Sky Sports news website now and still no word from Everton Direct. Once again handle the whole situation wrong. If they stalling over his injury then fair enough but come out and say so. If its just cos DM is not there then come out and say so. By not saying anything then just makes us look like we normally do. A JOKE. And if BK does come on here hope he takes note.
Dunny the Blue
couldnt agree more with you there. it annoys the arse out of me when we keep silent on stuff like this, its the same as Forssel last season.
Cloud
Joleon Lescott's switch to Goodison Park seemingly hangs in the balance as Everton have requested more time from Wolves to consider the deal. The accomplished stopper has already agreed personal terms and passed a medical at the Premiership outfit but it appears that Everton are stalling. Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey conceded that he had expected a deal to have already been concluded, with Everton's medical staff having twice run the rule over the player. Lescott is understandably eager to rubber-stamp the move as quickly as possible, but it seems he is now to face an anxious couple of days as David Moyes and his board have further talks. The fee Everton are to pay for the 23-year-old defender is believed to be in the region of £5 million, with neither club yet to reveal the exact amount. "The ball is now in Everton's court," Moxey told the club's website. "Their medical team first saw Joleon on Thursday and then again on Friday. ''It is now Monday and transfers normally happen quicker than this. But Everton have informed us they want more time and we have to respect that." ----------------------------- Riskey Bis if you ask me, if we pay around 5.5 Million we Nor any other Club would expect him to have 2 dogey knees? Yeh and it is strange that it hasn't been put on the 'Official Website?
StevO
i dont see why its strange that its not been on the official site, imagine you Joleon Lescott, about to make a move to the prem, but it might fall through, the last thing you want is the whole world knowing whats goin on, when you probably dont know yourself. or if your DM, trying to buy a young talented defender, theres been a bit of a hicup with the medical, and your tryin to get the price down, you dont want the world knowin the inside an outs of the deal. especially after last season. im quite happy with them takin their time and keepin their mouth shut, if it means us gettin a good deal and not gettin ripped off
Dunny the Blue
I agree with what your sayin but do you not think it would be nice if they came out and said there were complications instead of us havin to find out from all sorts of random rumours. StevO
id rather not know until the deal is concluded, if they come out an say there was a problem and a decision will be made in a few days, we still wont know whats gunna happen anyway

Bill
Dont know why your all getting so up tight about it, we know theres a problem, Everton have told you theres a problem by getting second scans and xrays on his knees. We dont want to waste ANOTHER £5M on a centre half who might not be able to walk in a years time, so i'm all for them taking their time and making sure, or at least working out a better deal with appearance payments. We already have enough unfit cripples who are being payed, for sitting in the treatment room. If we cant get the right deal, drop him and go for somebody else, i'm with the Club on this one. Licker. Romey 1878
I think the majority of us agree with the club, we just want to know whats going on instead of relying on half truths and reading between the lines

KillaGTiR
The Toffees agreed a fee with Wolverhampton Wanderers – believed to be around £5million – for the centre-half last week, as manager David Moyes looks to bolster his back four. The player then passed a medical and agreed terms with the Toffees on Friday, yet the Premiership club looked to be stalling on the deal when asking for more time. However, it is now being reported that Moyes is happy to complete the deal, with Lescott set to officially become an Everton player within the next 24 hours. http://www.fansfc.com/frontpage/frontpagen...p?newsid=153666

Bill
Lescott signing on track ... Jun 7 2006 By Dominic King, Liverpool Echo Everton'S pursuit of Joleon Lescott is poised to reach a successful conclusion before the end of the week. The Wolves central defender was left wondering whether his £5m move to Goodison Park would go through after problems emerged with the results of a medical. However, after more negotiating between the clubs, it appears likely the Blues will give the green light to Lescott becoming their third signing of the summer. Personal terms were agreed last week and now the transfer fee has been re-worked to link with appearances, the 23-year-old should be unveiled in a Blue shirt when he returns from holiday.
