Romey 1878 Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 They've got a game in hand on us now so losing is unthinkable, a win would give us some much needed breathing space but a draw wouldn't be the end of the world. 1-0 to us, Cahill back with a bang. Quote
MikeO Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 The bubble has burst for Birmingham. They had a great run but it was never sustainable for me and they've lost three of the six league games they've had since they put us out of the cup, not to mention going out of the cup themselves to Pompey. A win would put us only four points behind Liverpool and could possibly get us very close to Villa (tough game at Stoke). Would really put us in the mix . If we turn up we'll win 3-1....even if we have an off day I think we'll get a point. Quote
Lizzard1 Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 well I think if mikel arteta can produce the same performance that he did against hull brig are in deep Shite and with da blue kangaroo comin back i think that a 2-0 win to us insnt impossible Quote
adamsmith69 Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Which everton will turn up is the question we need to know, once we know that we should have a pretty good idea what the score will be. Unfortunately, as we are away, i cant see anything but a draw. We do owe them one though, so i am hoping to be wrong. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted March 9, 2010 Author Report Posted March 9, 2010 We haven't looked too crash hot away from home all season so I expect it to be a win we need to grind out, especially when you consider they don't concede that many goals. Quote
duncanmckenzieismagic Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 After such a fantastic result against Hull and all things being Everton it will probably be a 3-0 defeat! Quote
Kohen Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) After such a fantastic result against Hull and all things being Everton it will probably be a 3-0 defeat! I'm going for a tense 1-0 either way. Edited March 9, 2010 by Kohen Quote
jcrawfor Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) After having worried about this fixture for quite some time, I'm now quite confident of a win. I suspect Donovan will have a screamer as it is his last match. I can't see Arteta losing form. Those two on their game should be enough to take care of Brum. 3-1. Donovan to score. Anyone else find it funny that his first game (not played) was Birmingham and so will be his last? Edited March 9, 2010 by bluenoseyankee Quote
MikeO Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 They're going to get the three points at Portsmouth tonight so we'll be back below them come kick-off <_< . Quote
Wall Writer Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 Must win game! Got to move above these come Saturday night. COYB! Quote
nogs Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 Definitely a must win, we're on a terrible run away from home, if it doesn't end Saturday it really is season over. Liverpool losing at Wigan has opened the door for us just a chink, they're definitely within range if we win, we've just got to take advantage. Seems like we're saying it a lot recently, but a massive, massive game for us. Quote
craigb Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 2-1 to the blues! Am going the game so hope we do well Romey, whos the lady on your pic ? haha Quote

Matt Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 brickin it again. but like i said last time, it all depends which Everton turns up.... reckon theres only going to be 1 goal in it, not sure which why though.... Quote
Evertonian_George Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 Come on Everton these are $hit3 Quote
Romey 1878 Posted March 10, 2010 Author Report Posted March 10, 2010 Come on Everton these are $hit3 Famous last words... Quote
iggy Posted March 11, 2010 Report Posted March 11, 2010 Tough game - they don't concede too many too often, think we will do it though 2-0 Quote
Memmaclub Posted March 11, 2010 Report Posted March 11, 2010 work with a pompey season ticket holder and he said they were utter rubbish (Brum that is) worst game this season we must be able to turn these boys over and push on. Quote
dark Posted March 11, 2010 Report Posted March 11, 2010 With the excellent form that we have been on lately with the storm against Hull it seems like a win against Birmingham is definatly on the cards. Cahill coming back is a relief as it can only breed Arteta confidence, I expect him to have another top class game along with Landon Donovan (seeing as it's his last before returning to LA Galaxy) They don't have too much up front and didn't cause us too many problems when they were at Goodsion, I was shocked at how poor Faddy was for them. Everton 3-0 Birmingha City Arteta 30' Pienaar 45' Donovan 88' Quote
Green Gold and Blue Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 This is my first score line prediction, so I hope I won't be too far off. I'll go for 2-0, in a good performance (as we are due a decent win away from home) Pienaar goal from a bit of brilliance and a Cahill header Quote
GoodisonRoad Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 I'm Going to go with 3-1 to us. Pienaar,Yakubu X 2 And Jerome for them Quote
Romey 1878 Posted March 12, 2010 Author Report Posted March 12, 2010 Good news http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2010/03/12/cahill-and-saha-could-return Quote
MikeO Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Ossie out though... Howard, Neville, Distin, Jagielka, Baines, Heitinga, Arteta, Cahill, Pienaar, Donovan, Yakubu. Nash, Hibbert, Yobo, Gosling, Bily, Rodwell, Anichebe. ....maybe. Quote
jcrawfor Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Would be content with that formation. I liked Heits in the DM role, and Distin wasn't half bad when lined up with Jags. I'd rather seen Coleman on the bench, but we all know Moyes has a love for Hibbo. Saha on for Yak in 2nd half if Yak hasn't got his scoring boots on. Quote
