Mullin met Kenwright in recent months to say he may be able to find a buyer for the club, although he has not been appointed to work for Everton Mullin has sent out a formal three-page document to potential buyers detailing Everton's valuation and the amount of investment required at the club. He believes the holdings of Everton's top three shareholders, which total 75 per cent, could be acquired for between £75 million and £100 million. In addition, he has told prospective buyers that any renovation to Goodison Park is likely to require a minimum of £250 million investment to create a state-of-the-art 50,000 seat stadium. He added that Everton's debt, which stands at £44.9 million, is covered by the group's property assets — which includes the stadium, offices, training ground and retail outlet. I remember that people at the club try and obtain advice from Mulllin on some issues (he's a specialist in sports marketing). It was rumoured he was approached to take the CEO position but he turned it down because he is overawed by football stars. This is an ironic connection considering I am from Atlanta. When ATL Spirit took over the Hawks, Atlanta was one of the worst franchises in the NBA. Since then, they have become a playoff team, and are very good. I am not a huge basketball fan so I do not follow the Hawks very closely, but they have gotten a lot better since ATL Spirit took over. The Hockey team that Spirit owns (Atlanta Thrashers) is a very weak franchise. They have had very few good years and their attendance is awful. Recently, it came out that Spirit will either try to move the team to another city, or sell it. To be fair, any Hockey team in Atlanta isn't going to be very well supported, as the South is not a big place for hockey (Hockey is far behind Baseball, American Football, Basketball in the South) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Goodison Park is secured as collateral on mortgage owed to Barclays (25 year season ticket sales one) The offices are inside Goodison (it may refer to the new development?) The retail store in L1 is not owned by the club, the Walton Lane store may be (let's say it is). Finch Farm is on a long-term lease from private developers Bellefield was sold for £8m, this week it was announced the developers are looking to develop it and sell on for £28m Hopefully the journalist got the wrong end of the stick, otherwise this "information memorandum" could be inaccurate. The £75-100m fee seems high . In 2006 Robert Earl bought 23% of the club for £7m. In theory he could walk away with £15m+ profit after four years, for what? Unless that value included paying off the £45m debt (it won't be that simple) in which case then he'd take £2m+. £250m for a stadium seems very high too. Kirkby Stadium supposedly being built for £78m-£130m depending on who was telling of the cost. Greg O'Keeffe, the LiverpoolEcho Everton correspondent contacted him but he doesn't want to give an interview about what's going on. O'Keeffe tweeted: "Interview not happening. Don't think we have at all...the wider footballing world looks with admiration and not a little envy at what we have achieved in the last six or seven years. We're often held up as model for what many other clubs aspire to. It's only a section of our own fans who consider us a laughing stock. Have to agree i dont see how we are a laughing stock at all; many fans are frustrated with the lack of progress we have made in the last 2 seasons yes but we are still a top 8 team with no fear of relegation so im sure many clubs would swap places with us in a heart beat. Hahaha, what im getting at is there wouldnt be any rumours if we had owners willing/able to put there hands in their pockets and give the manager a few quid! Ffs how many strikers do we have? We slated Ossie for missing a few chances when in reality we really need a forward and couldve had Ba or Martins on loan if they'd tried! Im just getting fed up with everyone taking the piss about administration oh and the small fact we are unable to keep our best young players therefore were now just an apple tree for Utd to pick the best from! We had our golden opportunity when finishing 4th, we needed to think bigger at the time and we didn't. A Scott Parker would have been more than achievable in a transfer deal and how our fortunes would have benefited with him in the team. The clock is ticking for Kenwright and co. The likes of Saha, Cahill, Neville, Hibbert, are not getting any younger and some serious cash will need to be spent to replace them, also the likes of Billy and Anichebe are not good enough.
