Louis
It seems that the former Everton player Andy King has passed away. Peter Reid tweeted his condolences earlier.

Hafnia
That news has made me feel very old and sad. He was the first name I remembered of any Everton player as a child as it must have been after his derby goal that my brother kept talking about him. So much so when I started watching in 84 I got confused between Andy Gray and Andy King. He had a heart attack a few years ago, not sure if that was anything to do with it. RIP. MikeO
Was my favourite player of the late seventies . Very sad, but I can find no mention of it other than the Reid tweet which seems a bit strange .

Paddock
It's breaking on SSN now. The first Everton player I ever met and autograph I got . I went to Bellfield, won a competition for me and a friend (plus parent) to watch them train. He came off the training ground, my mate had the pen getting another players, he came over rubbed my hair and took my pad, I just blurted "err have you got a pen" (panic stricken asI never had one) he just looked at me and said " what the fuck would I be doing with a pen kid" Noble Savage

Blue 250
Remember sitting at my nans kitchen table cutting a piece of paper from the Daily Express or Mail, for my Everton scrapbook. It was the match report of the Everton game at Derby County.......Andy King scores two goals in a 3-1 win.Still got the scrapbook.Picture of Mick Buckley on the front. We'd just signed Andy from Luton ( his second game ).....he was young, good looking, a brilliant player ( so he said ) and was playing for Everton....I wanted to be Andy King !!, well when I didn't want to be Bob Latchford. Well that's Mick Buckley and Andy King gone.......fuck!, Enjoyed the 70's, played some good stuff at times. RIP Andy.

The fella went on to interview him and the copper throws them off the pitch. Turns out he was a kopite who was raging at Kings glorious winner .
