Robles Coleman Jags Mori Baines Besic Barkley McCarthy Gerry Lukaku Miralles I think ross is more a cm than an acm I prefer him picking the ball up off the and then either passing or running. McCarthy is more of a box to box no refinement just smash the tackles and make forward runs to give the defenders something to think about. Gerry can worry about the creativity drifting wide little through balls. Miralles can drift between the gerry role and a striker but we need to give defences something to think about. The key roles in this system are besic and full backs. We have two of the best full back in the country so why not give them licence to get up and down while besic doesn't move from the front of the CBs. this team could hold a lead by keeping the ball. counter attack with speed of gerry rom and mirales and also go to a 3 holding midfilders for sticky patches in the games. I would to see garbutt given a go next season to replace baines at some point. Also I would let stones go for big money and bring in another decent CB to challenge. A fresh start and a new outlook. Jagielka, Baines etc need to be fazed out now. It's all so very stale. I'd also say we need to bring some personalities into the squad. memmaclub2 Posted April 29, 2016 Author Report Share Posted April 29, 2016 I think over the last few years we have changed our focus away from the fellani and cahill type players and although I think we need some changes I don't think I would describe it as an overhaul more a transiton for a few players agree baines and jags are on the downward slope but they are still part of the squad and for me by building the squad around a core of lukaku ross b gerry mori mcCarthy coleman we have a some high prem to worldclass quality in our core. do we need not to suppliment the core rather tah build a whole new team.
