Belfast Toffee Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 Reported in the Belfast Telegraph recently that Everton where lining up a £2m bid for the Northern Ireland left winger, currently playing at Sheffield Wednesday. Have to say I have been impressed watching him for our national team, alot of natural talent, but maybe needs a kick up the arse at stages. Would not be a bad acquistion with our current lack of wide men. Quote
Sickboy Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Yeah he looks like a pretty good player, Reminds me alot of mcfadden though, is that good or bad? Quote
Belfast Toffee Posted April 16, 2007 Author Report Posted April 16, 2007 I think he s more of a natural wide man than Faddy, but I would only really have him here as a squad player. Apparently Man City are also interested. Quote
CraccerC Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 if hes only good enough for squd he isnt worth 2 million of our money Quote
adrianegley Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 My bro is an Owl and he really rates him, the goals he scores are wonder goals and get quite a few assists. Would be a squad player and from what I have seen more useful than AVM. Quote

Adam Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 I was watching the SW game on Friday night to see how Turner done and didn't think that Brunt played that bad. They said during the game that he likes to hit long shots and its not uncommon for him to score them either. Need squad players but is £2m to much for a squad player? Quote
Guest blueboy122 Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 hope we get this fella exactly what we need great winger and great left foot and still only young.james beattie if we keep him which i think we will will be made up because he whips in great balls to get his head on. Always remeber wen beattie played for southamton they played very wide and putting balls down the channels for wingers to cross and strickers to put there head on we however play through balls in the centre of the park hoping aj with pace will get on2 them. We get brunt on the left and a decent right winger beattie 15-20 goals a season guranteed! Quote
SimonButtle Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 if he was that good, bigger clubs than Man City would be looking, maybe as a squad player. Quote

Everton_Worshiper Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 To be honest, if Bily leaves then Brunt would be welcome for me (has a mean left foot shot). i.e. no fence needs erecting for this transfer rumour. Quote
scouse Posted May 20, 2011 Report Posted May 20, 2011 Squad filler also, same opinion here as for Charlie Adam. Quote
StevO Posted May 20, 2011 Report Posted May 20, 2011 i think brunt would start most games for us at left mid Quote
c1982 Posted May 20, 2011 Report Posted May 20, 2011 Can't stand Brunt - very lazy. He's a 'youtube best bits reel' type player, he'll score the odd wonder goal but he'd just be another bily if we had him. Quote
