Blue4Ever
Superb result, I thought the scoreline flattered us a bit, that Paul Mcshane lad is possibly the worst defender in the league imo. Everyone was great well done. Pienaar is a must buy, that lad has class.
Bill
I forcast it was going to be a close one didnt i (1-0 penalty) dont think i have ever been so wrong with a forcast. We play our best football when Osman is in the middle of the park, He links up with Arteta and Pienaar so well, and some peeps are saying he should'nt get another contract. Neville should never be put in the middle again, not with Carsley. Good all round performance.
Randomness
i think this day was even better than the 3-0 derby win, but then i'm off to a party with a free bar later, Tell me ma me ma To put the Champagne on Ice i'm going to citeh twice tell me ma me ma. notice how everyone comming out of the ground (those who went) was commenting that the likes of mcfadden and vaughan couldnt even get on the bench. Good times ahead Notice we're not the top story though on bbc sport. another 2 minute run on MOTD then. And another thing, some of the stuff we played, cor blimey, it was like watching Croatia! Romey 1878
I can't fault anyone today they were all superb. Perhaps in the first half we were a little sluggish and let them have a bit too much of the ball, but the second half was just immense and we looked like we could score with every attack. Arteta looks like he's back, he absolutely ran the show for us today and gets my MOTM vote. Some of the football we played today was fantastic and I hope it continues because I like to be entertained not bored into submission. Im glad AJ got a goal as well, I thought he might if he got on. Well done lads and Moyes

Pat
Ill play devils advocate. @ times I felt we were sloppy, complacent & got sucked in a bit to the Mackem's game. The expansive football @ times was very good. Concentration not so. Im not whinging like, I think we have played as well ( diff footy) & got nothing. We did look scoring every time we went forward, but did have a few sloppy scares @ the back. Great result & 1 too further carry the momentum ( I belive we havent lost since the derby match sexual assault) Gee Arteta is good, Cahill is the man ( wow we missed him) , Carsley was BOSS, & others did many nice things 2. ( beeter mention Ossie as was very creative 2) oh yeh & I thought Nuno had a good game 2 down the left side.

Zed
Moments of the match The park end singing the 80's classic and keeping it going for about 5 mins The cheers everytime we touched the ball in the second half Thought we actually played better football in the first half and Carlsey did the dirty work well Should Vitor hace had a pen? MOAN OF THE DAY - Match of the day making us look like long ball specialist - The swines Great day, make the most of it , we'll probably only win 1-0 next week and everyone can slag the players off again
MikeO
Great day, make the most of it , we'll probably only win 1-0 next week and everyone can slag the players off again If we win 1-0 at Pompey I'll slag off no-one. Be a blinding result, unbeaten at Fratton Park (inc against Liverpool and ManU).
james_roberts
Oh my fucking God, what a Birthday present I got Was really nervous when we kicked off because going forward they looked dangerous, but then we just annihalated them... would have been nice to get a clean sheet =/ Our singing was tremendous, shut the Mackems up They were full capacity at the start, at half-time they has almost all gone lol Highlight? Singing 'Z cars' at the end without the backing track, fucking amazing Brought a tear to my eye

Everton_Worshiper
Our singing was tremendous, shut the Mackems up Were you at the same game? We were very quiet most of the game, only when it was about 5-1 did we start singing a lot more.....the Sunderland fans were very loud and put us to shame for the 1st half.... Blue4Ever
^ What pisses me off, its only certain parts of the groud with a good atmosphere, the hole bullens, most of the mainstand and half the park end are usually in silence. Why cant the grumpy twats start to act like real fans and support the team best they can! I like my seat in the mainstand, good view and sound people but I can stand the fact no one joins in chants and gets behind the team. Why cant the grumpy twats start to act like real fans and support the team best they can! I like my seat in the mainstand, good view and sound people but I can stand the fact no one joins in chants and gets behind the team. Just an Everton problem?...The camera focused on Lawrie Sanchez during Fulhams games with Blackburn.....edge of the pitch, facing the main stand, pretty angry look on his face and both hands gesturing to crowd to try and make a bit of noise.Don't think it really did a lot of good, but you never can tell watching highlights on the telly! Other managers have tried getting the crowd behind the team....none more famously than the lady just down the road at Norwich Delia"Come on let's be having you"...."where are you"...... Don't think that worked either! Some people just aren't going to shout and sing, just not in their nature, surround them with like minded people (obviously certain parts of the ground)......and that will be a hard habit to break. Never been in Goodison for a major cup game or a game like "Wimbledon" game, does the atmosphere improve depending on the need. Can a club survive without their really quiet fans, no way!!If all parts ofthe ground were like the Gladys street would that give us an advantage, for sure! How do you create noisy fans? Zed
The atmosphere does improve depending on who we are playing Its the same in most grounds, peaple expect to be entertained these days The gwladys should be the atmospheric part of the ground Us grumpy old twats gave it a good go on saturday with a long rendition of an 80's classic though. Most of the time you cant here the gwladys from the park end, except when the cringworthy "the babys not yours" is sung

MikeO
Sunderland boss Roy Keane admits his side learnt a valuable lesson after their 7-1 thumping against Everton. Black Cats keeper Craig Gordon was exposed time and time again during November's trip to Goodison Park, and Keane is aware that his men demonstrated naivety, which cost them dear. The former Manchester United captain has explained that his side will now employ a change in mindset for their travels, starting with Saturday's trip to Stamford Bridge. "Everton looked like they could score every time they went forward," he told the Sunderland Echo. "That's what you get when you're playing against a good team and they are high on confidence. "We had an innocence in our football and had something of the cavalier about, us which you just can't afford when you are away from home against a quality side. "It was a valuable lesson and the most important lessons from that game were learnt by me. Glad to be of service Roy .
