Dunno about paranoid. He's probably thinking to himself that he could do without the extra pressure! But it is what it is...fix it!

There's certainly hints from the players body language when we went 1-0 at Utd that there is a lack of belief now creeping into the camp. Either that they wouldn't be able to turn it around, or a 'oh no here we are again' fed up type reaction.

I agree though that Moshiri presence will bring a new weight of expectation. But who knows? Maybe Moshiri will talk to Martinez and think 'actually, if I give this man a few quid he can complete this jigsaw...if this style only works with a better standard of player, I'll give him those players'. No one knows.

At the end of the day, results matter. If Martinez can't get the results that the club demand, then he has to go. He needs a large slice of the 24 points left to play for.

I must admit I feel a bit gutted at this situation. I've always held Martinez in high regard. Always admired the way he talks about the game, the way he likes to play the game. I've always thought that Martinez was a great fit for this club with his personality and aura. And let's be honest, he has done a lot of good stuff here. But results count. There's a lot of alarming things going off recently that is more than a one off and is making the milk go sour.

Whatever happens, I hope it works out for him one way or another, now or in the future. Maybe he needs to be sacked to realise he needs to be more versatile in his approach? To learn lessons? I hope we can build our success together, but if we have to take separate paths, then so be it.

If he never took the piss out of us to the press in his pursuit of baines and fellaini and showed us respect then there wouldn't be an issue on a temporary basis. But nah, he did so he can fuck off.

Can't wait to see him in the team again if I'm honest. So exciting to watch.
He will mature and then he will be scary.

I would sell him for exactly the same reason as Rom or Stones (if he continues to believe the hype) - we can not have as many "amazing one game and rubbish the next few" players.

There is a reason that Leicester are doing well - every player works for each other, they fight for every ball, they epitomise the Everton team of 84-85. We need 11 men all with the same ethic as Lennon. All the talent in the world means nothing if you cant be bothered to play for the shirt.

He may be better under a new manager and a midfield minder like Gerrard had with Mcallister - whatever, I'm pretty disgusted with him right now and for a player who gets stick off our fans - he actually deserves it right now.

I'm absolutely appalled by what I've sat through today.

Besic shouldn't have started because he clearly wasn't fit and Martinez will have known that. There were other options to replace Barry so there was no need. Then he subs him at half time for a defender when we're 2-0 down and not even in the game :/. Well done, we have a tactical genius on our hands folks!

Then there are the players... Fuck me, what a heartless, effortless, pathetic showing that was. Coleman, Rom and Lennon are probably the only ones who even tried. Coleman's crossing was woeful but at least he had a go. Lennon was having to come inside to do the invisible man Barkley's job of supporting Rom so was leaving their wide man in loads of space but, again, the lad showed guts the rest could only dream of. And Rom was having to try and be creator as well as get himself in the box on the end of anything!

    Pissed off doesn't cover it.

Why do our players constantly occupy their teammate's space? It happens constantly. In defense and in attack.

McCarthy looks like an amateur today, too.

If I wanted to watch a bunch of people walk around this morning, I would have gone to the mall and watched the elderly go on their morning strolls.

Roberto is still cleverly hiding Deulofeu from Barca's prying eyes. If he's not good enough to sub in from Everton's bench today, he must really not be much good.

Biggest difference between this and the cup QF so far for me is that the high pressing has disappeared for the most part

I'd like to see refs stop giving yellows for diving in game, because when they get it wrong it can be a disaster and ruin the match. But I think every dive should be analysed post match, if video evidence shows you dived then issue a three match ban. Every diving incident is analysed on TV now anyway, I think if players know they may con the ref to get a penalty in that game they might get the three points, but then you miss the next three, what would they do?

As it is now you cant appeal a yellow, and retrospective action is hardly ever taken.

It is a contact sport. I hate seeing things like if there's contact it's a foul.

Every foul should have contact, but not every contact is a foul.

The fall didn't match the contact IMO. There may have been a touch, exaggerated the fall.

I don't think he should have been booked for the first one, but to then even go near that tackle was just stupid. I don't care how frustrated he may have been, just keep your head until half time.

That said, we didn't lose the game because of Kev in my opinion. So not mad at him, just gutted as he started the game well, he played well against Villa, I was hoping he was getting some form going. Now we miss him for a big game at the weekend.

I'm not convinced must have seen it a 100 times now and I still can't say for sure he didn't get clipped. Doesn't mean it was a foul though, what's happened to accidental contact? Couldn't the ref just have waved play on?

Nay for me. The team has underachieved for two seasons now. This year has been particularly poor because of the quality in the side. When a team is underachieving it is almost always because the coach or manager isn't getting the best out of his players. And if Roberto can't get the best out of these players, he needs to go.

Won't see the best of Mirallas until Martinez is gone. People moaning about wanting to see him fight for the shirt but then criticising him when he puts an over eager challenge in. I still maintain Lukaku set him up with an absolute hospital ball

The 343 was a beauty?! Stones was completely and utterly lost out there and should never have started. I was happy as fuck to see him go off.
