  1. I watched Rome. Enjoyed it a lot though the presence of a red headed Scot with a striking resemblance to a certain Premier League manager in a leading role may have had something to do with it . http://timbailey.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/kevinmckidd.jpg
  2. Good memory! Catch-22 is probably my favourite of all time (though "The Book Thief" has run it close recently). I'll check those out.
  3. Sorry but when you start with that as an "example" I look no further. Felli's December/January purple patch....his votes were as follows... 34 v Sunderland (MOTM) 15 v Carlisle (MOTM) 9 v Burnley (3rd) 26 v Arsenal (MOTM) 41 V Man City (MOTM & 100% of the votes) 8 v Birmingham (2nd) 17 v Sunderland (MOTM) 9 v Wigan (2nd)
  4. :jerry: (Sorry but the wife's got it on )
  5. Fried in garlic with a few herbs?
  6. I've got £30 worth of book tokens from my birthday (you'd think my mother would have more imagination for my fiftieth wouldn't you? Better than last year though when I got a piece of cheese....she's a bit eccentric ) plus a £5 WH Smith discount voucher burning a hole in my pocket. What should I get?
  7. He only played the first half, after which we were 1-0 up....then we lost 2-1. Can't really draw any conclusions from that though.
  8. I'll speak to my support team and get back to you .
  9. It is...I've changed it..my mistack .
  10. We could buy Kevin Davies to stop him scoring against us .
  11. Notlob having a clearout as well... http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Bolton-boss-Owen-Coyle-is-ready-to-axe-ten-players-in-a-Reebok-revolution-article406873.html Anyone there worth looking at?
  12. Seems a bit strange to me that Coleman's not in the squad as well.
  13. If you take the cut off point back a game to include our win over Burnley...and split our season so far exactly in half... First eighteen games, GD -8, nineteen points. Next eighteen games, GD +18, thirty-eight points. Hell of a turnaround.
  14. I'd like to thank my mother, my proof-reader Agnes, my statistical analyst Hermione, my sub-editor in charge of adjectives Horatio, Louis for giving me my first big break :blush02: , the rest of the team without who I am nothing :crying_anim: and most of all the baby Jebus who made it all possible :sad02: :crying_anim: .
  15. Unlikely as it seems... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/nov/28/diniyar-bilyaletdinov-interview Personally I think he'll improve once he hits puberty .
  16. You ought to put some "allegedly's" in there Johny or you'll have a posse of cabbies suing your arse . And I already knew that about TC....but I forgive him  .
  17. That too. Suppose it depends whether you're in a "glass half full" or "glass half empty" kind of mood.
  18. But still quite funny eh Johny . Been a while.
  19. Premier league table for games played from 1st Jan. Encouraging.
  20. Have to say I shouted at him when he did that...thought the better option was to bring in under control ( ) and play it square to Mikel (or to Phil to set Mikel up) for a pop. The looped header with no pace rarely pays off. Very pleased to be wrong....again. Hold the front page !!
  21. Spot on. Think 20/80 is a bit harsh on Ossie Memma....he plays well if the team's playing well imo. Can't turn a game on his own like some of the others but I think if we play as well as we hope we're going to as a unit next season he'll thrive.
  22. The game is at the KC . Liverpool need to lose to Chelsea while we beat Stoke to keep the pressure on....although I have a horrid feeling they'll take at least a point. I really don't care who wins the league....if United don't take Liverpool's record this year they will pretty soon, it's inevitable.
  23. He's down as... Injury: Hamstring Expected return: Late April/early May ...on the OS.
  24. The Mirror this morning said we'd be looking for £20m. Unrealistic....unless City want him in which case we should hold out for £30m .
