  1. Old one about Arteta that you've changed the title of. You don't think Jags is worth his own? Still feel really shit about this today. Hope the lad spends a bit of his rehab browsing Everton forums so he knows how the fans feel about him.
  2. Think it says a lot for the sort of player and person he is that peoples reaction has been one of sympathy for him rather than depression because of the weakening of the team. Hopefully he'll get a few more chances at silverware in the coming years.
  3. Confirmed on the OS . A shred of good news from today. http://evertonfc.com/news/archive/europe-guaranteed.html
  4. http://evertonfc.com/news/archive/jagielka...-cup-final.html Very sad.
  5. The Devonian! Can cope with losing this....Jags is the only concern for me at the mo .
  6. Unlikely I don't think....he's not personally charged with anything....but possible. Toyota's are light, particularly Glock....got four laps less fuel than Button & Hamilton (who both have the same amount). Trulli a couple of laps less than the Brits but Vettel is carrying more! Got probably three extra laps on them. He's beginning to look like a hugely impressive driver!

  8. Nash, Lescott, Vaughan, Cahill, Rodwell, Gosling, Baxter on the bench. Have a feeling we might need TC personally.
  9. Toyota front row, then Vettel, Button & Hamilton. Toyota and Vettel will be light on fuel I'd have thought, Hamilton could get a flyer with KERS on board but I still think Jenson's the favourite. Hamilton could be in with a shout though.
  10. Appreciated JC. Had a soft spot for you lot ever since my dad used to eulogise about Johnny Haynes back in the 60's. Good to see you back firmly established in the top flight.
  11. More than faltering. Three points from the last eight games...that's solid gold tailed off relegation form . They have to go to Bolton, Fulham and 'Boro where I'd not be surprised if they get no points at all from those games. Home to Hull and Newcastle they should get something....but they won't get six imo. If we can get the win today I think we'll take fifth for sure .
  12. A lot of (blue) Rooneys involved. Good luck to them (shame it's not at Goodison). http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/200...15875-21301716/

    Heya

That was 2003 ! Way before my time....but welcome back Gemma . Were you on as GemmyGem (or something similar) more recently?
  14. Keep the faith....AZ had never lost a European game at home, Alex Ferguson had never lost an FA Cup semi. We didn't play any league games at Fulham between 1968 and 2001....if we had you can be pretty damn sure we'd have won a few .
  15. Just one of those things...we didn't win at White Hart Lane for 20 years and now we can't stop. Unlikely we've played 20 at Craven Cottage given the amount of time they've spent out of the top flight so the Spurs record was probably worse. The run is there to be broken and I've every confidence we'll do it this year .
  16. Great quotes (although it wasn't a great film) from Catch22... Danby: Weather conditions have improved tremendously over the mainland, so you won't have any trouble at all seeing the target. Of course, we mustn't forget, that means that they won't have any trouble at all seeing you. Yossarian: I am the most renowned killer of fish in the whole United States Army Air Force. 1st Lt. Milo Minderbinder: As a matter of fact, Father, I know I can get my hands on an entire shipment of religious relics, blessed by the Pope himself. The Germans swiped them and put them on the open market. As I understand it, the stuff includes a wrist and collarbones of some of your top saints! Yossarian: He was very old. Luciana: But he was a boy. Yossarian: Well, he died. You don't get any older than that.
  17. Liam and Pat have both made fairly recent appearances and explained their absences Aaron, you must have missed them....have a look at their most recent posts . Edit: Checking that Pat didn't actually post, he put something in the shoutbox and sent a PM or two though. He was OK, sorting himself out after some personal upheaval....hopefully he'll be back.
  18. "Breaking news" that he's flying home from the IPL to have surgery on a knee injury and will miss the West Indies tests. Breaking news !? What would be truly newsworthy would be... "Shock revelation....Flintoff fit." He's the one sportman in the world less reliable than Michael Owen.
  19. Amazing that only 1.4 seconds cover the whole field in second practice for Bahrain. Also amazing that the five slowest are.. 16. Ferrari 17. Sauber 18. Ferrari 19. McLaren 20. Sauber What a change in fortune! Race (and grid) still likely to be between Brawn and Red Bull though .
  20. That result (if we kept a clean sheet) would add 43 points to my Telegraph Fantasy Footie team Jim and put me within sniffing distance of the £50,000 . Few "assist" points would be a nice boost also .
  21. Not at all. We used it for a couple of years so that would make fools of all of us . Individual player ratings isn't a bad idea in theory, but it'd be time consuming for everyone to vote (so I suspect a lot of people wouldn't bother) and even more time consuming to update. If the forum had the technology to do it automatically it would maybe be OK, but it doesn't.
