  1. Let him know about the bid (if any arrives), and if he's interested then let him go because it's a big chunk of money. If not, then keep him and don't force the issue because if he gets back to form he's brilliant.

Good idea, if he wants to leave then by all means go ahead. If not, tally ho and all that. Same should apply to McCarthy and Mirallas.

  2. No cheating by searching on the Internet!! How many of these questions can you answer correctly?

    4) Which player has made the most appearances for Everton as a substitute?

  3. Make or break for Robles then.

Great opportunity for the lad to step up and prove a lot wrong. Feel free to do so.

Exactly. I'm happy for Joel he won't be pressured and knows he will have time to prove himself. If he does well it could be the undoing of Howard, not a bad thing either.

I'm rooting for Robles, I hope he shows that fa cup form!

  4. spot on steve. support the team win or lose, support the players until they've left Everton, support the Manager until he retires or is fired, same goes for the board etc. you can criticize and question and offer suggestions, but the way some of these people talk you'd think they were professionals and they aren't.

  5.

BBC says that Palace are in talks with Newcastle to get Pardew. Strange one, would seem to be a backward step. Maybe he just wants to move back down south?

i thought the same thing mike! the article i read said he played there for 4 years and scored a killer goal that beat liverpool in the FA cup semis and is a hero to them. does seem a backward move, less transfer funds, smaller team, and worse team. maybe he's worried he's getting the axe.

  6. I'll never jump ship on this club and I still love Roberto but he is unquestionably at fault for this run of form. UNQUESTIONABLY!

Passion/Spirit starts from the top. His calm demeanor has proven fruitful before but in slides like this one you need to change it up. Players/people react to a typically calm man going absolutely nuts every once in a while.

I AM SO F***ING SICK OF SEEING PLAYERS OUT OF POSITION. It's been 5-7 games in a row now with players all over the place!! MESSI WOULD BE A SHIT LEFT BACK, RIGHT BACK, DEFENSIVE MID. SCHWEINSTEIGER WOULD BE A SHIT STRIKER. RONALDO WOULD BE A SHIT CENTER BACK. STOP PLAYING PEOPLE OUT OF POSITION, THEY SIMPLY ARENT GOOD ENOUGH. Baines will never be a midfielder, McCarthy will never be an attacking option, Eto'o cant play on the wing. Barkley cant play on the wing.

I would much rather trot out 3 academy players playing in their natural positions than put out that shit on a consistent basis. Play Eto'o down the middle or dont play him at all. Play Barkley in the 10 role or dont play him at all. Play Baines as a LB or dont play him at all. Play McCarthy as DM or dont play him at all. Play Naismith down the middle or dont play him at all.

you act as if RM never thought of that? he obviously knows that, and probably had the academy lads in practice doing just that. but when he saw them getting torched by the likes of aiden championship mcgeady and christian no show atsu and bobby realized "it would be better to play barkley out of position because that is still better than atsu". managers do it ALL THE TIME. look at any other squad outside the top 5. people play out of position and managers experiment and made due when there are injuries and suspensions. get a grip fellas, theres a reason you're all accountant and shit and not football managers, it's not just your waist size.

  7. I swear some of you get more enjoyment out of Everton losing than you do winning. When we win you go all quiet and then we can't shut you up when we start losing.

agreed the doom and gloom crew on here love when we lose when players are hurt, when top players play badly. sad really very sad. i grew up in cleveland oh which hasn't won anything from any sport since 1949. they back anyone and everyone, the fans are so passionate because they are desperate to win. here everyone is spoiled and "we should win the league, can't believe we lost to a team, blah blah".

back the team lads, the bickering is making this place not fun.

  8. - Honestly I don't know of a squad hit harder by injuries than us. We had the best and biggest squad ever before all that. But our key players have all gone injured and some keep getting injured.

    - Aging players with some left in the tank have been found to be empty in the tank. Pienaar, Osman, Howard, distin, Barry, Eto'o, all have slowed down immensely to the point where next season for them might mean retirement. For the big 4 this wouldn't matter, for us it's half the squad.

    - goalkeeping used to be decent. Howard was protected by solid defending that made him look better than he is. Now that he doesn't have that the true Howard has been revealed. Either that or he's old, peaked at the WC, and is past it. Robles doesn't offer any competiton to keep him on his toes and offers little when playing himself.

    - Europe has strained is no doubt, but in years past where it was all resources and man power to premier league finish and fuck off the cups, we have a manager that cares deeply about doing well abroad and winning a trophy. Naturally with all the above issues there will be some let down elsewhere, which is the league form.

  9. No, we won't sack him cause iI can't think of another manager that has exceeded his predecessors of the year earlier and cleared up in Europe thus far.... That's why I laugh at these people who say he's wrong for us. I used to believe that we had fans who took no shit and that was good but I'm starting to think that all everton fans want is a Neil Warnock who'll guarantee derby wins and maybe a chance in a cup once in a while. Bobby is still building. You want to make an omelette your gonna have to break a few eggs. If this happened first season, i would be worried, but he's already proved to being a good thinking, logical, pro active manager. Now the players need to play for him. Some players you just can't teach a certain style to cause all there worried about is there own window and what they can do on the ball. It's selfish and it's killing us.

Spot on Brett. I agree with you and think we'll win and draw enough to not worry about relegation, but really believe he and the team subliminally are going all in on Europa. I think we have a good chance there as well.

I'd love to see some new signings and some of the old aging players gone as well. He still doesn't have a team that plays his ball comfortably most notable the defense, goalies, half the midfield.
