  1. Here's a fantastic piece of insight into why we may be struggling.

    http://saintrookwood.wordpress.com/2015/01/05/knackered/

Might be a big deal in England, but in the states coaches overrule doctors all the time and put players back to fast in all sports.

Non story for me, dude either needed to learn to communicate better ie. Over exaggerate if he was that worried about McCarthy, or pick another profession, that territory goes with the job.

Are we going to blame jimmy the kit man next for Howard's injury because his socks were shrunk in the dryer and he got hurt? It's down to RM and the players, that's it

  2. My interest in Jazz began and ended in the seventies with the Mahavishnu Orchestra I'm afraid but I don't find that in the least offensive (that's high praise from me when it comes to jazz :P); really hope you make a success of it Mark!

Saw Dave Brubeck once ('cause a girlfriend wanted to go) and didn't go back in after the interval. My head hurt. I waited in the bar.

Haha, Mahavishnu is pretty out there jazz rock fusion, I totally understand that. Yeah I have seen Dave Brubeck once as well, great player and writer.

  3. Sounds good mate. Takes me back to when I'd listen to corduroy. Acid jazz. Very very easy on the ears.

Thanks Haf! You British were really the impetus for the whole 90's acid jazz movement, over here everyone is into the hip hop, but I appreciate that you Brits still dig the Jazz.

Big fan of incognito, jamiroquai, brand new heavies, etc myself.

  4.

Couldn't agree more. A good cup run could be just the confidence booster that they desperately need

If we go out at the first hurdle it will only increase the pressure on Martinez and add more gloom to an already woeful season and its probably our only chance of qualifying for Europe next season

Good cup run? We already have one europa. Round of 32.

  5. 09.20 GMT: Real Sociedad coach David Moyes is considering taking Chelsea's Mohamed Salah and/ or Everton's Aurona Kone on loan for the remainder of the current season, according to our good friends AS.

The Madrid paper reports that the former Manchester United and Everton manager is looking to use his contacts in England to strengthen his current squad, and sees Salah and Kone as options.

The Ivory Coast striker already has La Liga experience from spells at Sevilla and Levante, with the latter club reportedly already having approached the Toffees over a short-term deal. AS says Salah would be more difficult to bring to the Basque country, as the Egypt international is also wanted on loan by a number of other Premier League clubs.

  6. After all the money we spent this summer and the results we are currently having I doubt there will be anything more than a loan or 2. In my dream world we would sell Howard, pienaar, gibson, Atsu goes back. Might free up enough cash for a keeper and a winger, then loan a cb and another winger.

But that's pie in the sky, I doubt much will happen.

  7. not surprised, he started tons of games to begin and there was an article about how Stubbs said he was the best player. then they lost some matches and he was dropped to the bench. magically once he was on the bench they started winning again. and he got subs at 86' usually or not at all.

  8. watched the first half and then turned it off, didn't want to ruin my new years day with this shit. besic was our best player in the first half, and he was off. RM is smoking crack man.

not happy, RM won't get sacked cause BK is too cheap.

    My lineup for the future

    Robles

    Coleman Stones Jags Garbutt

    Besic Barkley Baines

    Lukaku Naisy Mirallas

Subs - Eto'o, Kone, Osman when he's fit.

  9. Barry got lucky but it was a pen, and has been terrible. Robles not at fault for either goal, he's looked decent otherwise. Coleman is actually bombing the wing and not cutting inside, breath of fresh air. Besic looking good again today, he's the only one running like his life depends on it. Barkley has been decent, but needs to be played deep, that one run he had for the should have been penalty was a beauty.

Barry off, Lukaku on. Ross drop back.
