When asked the question 'Which is no.2 City in England?'  Birmingham people say 'Birmingham'.  'Manchester people say 'Manchester'.  Scousers say 'London'.

Did you miss the word ‘fractionally’ shukes?  Both myself and John are talking from the same page…. I think you need to understand the margins fella!
fractionally means you are on the way up when you opponent is about to leave the floor, not on the way down as they are starting to jump.

Current situation.  They won't consider chemo or operation as they class my heart as 'heart failure'.  They are starting on a 2+ months program of strengthening the heart muscles.  These have become weak due to Atrial Fibrilation for the past 15 years.  A specialist nurse is coming on a home visit tomorrow to start things off. Part of it is loads of changes to tablets. This is something I don't like as it's always accompanied by withdrawal type issues.
When son came down last week to take me to the hospital he must have picked up Covid from somewhere. When he got back to Nottingham and a few days later, he tested positive for Covid.  I took a test on Saturday and I was positive too. One plus is that I don't feel  any symptoms whatsoever.  Doesn't mean much as I feel awful all the time anyway!

Actually, the coaching is slightly more sophisticated. You are right that the coaching is to 'jump' even (particularly) if you can't get the ball but 'jump' fractionally early is the key.  This disrupts the timing of the opposition.

yep and not like 2 seconds early. Baz on Toffeetv was specifically talking about this last night, it didnt make sense how early he was jumping.

So you are handpicking moments where he wasn’t near the man but jumping in order to not win the ball was a clever thing to do???

ok mate, you will have to get a fillip of this as this is desperate to say the least.
if my irritation of dom is annoying it’s cos I don’t want Everton relegated and  I see a player “who I have been told 100% does not want to be here” giving 60%.

Because we are incapable of scoring from open play. Lampard needs to dump DCL asap and bring Rondon in.  (Never thought I would ever post that) Good job DCL didn't take the penalties, he would have missed both.

Very sorry to read this, John. Glad to hear that your family is so willing to help. Mind you, you've been setting the example as you help your wife, so I'm not surprised. Wishing you all the best with the upcoming scan - and also with the planned house move.

I don't really know what to say other than that I'm sorry about your news and that you definitely shouldn't give up hope, because doctors aren't always right with this sort of thing. So no matter the diagnosis keep on keeping on.

A little obscure, I know, but I was browsing the BBC website to see what games are scheduled tomorrow. One line item struck me: Germany-Israel 1945.
Who in 1945 would have thought that Germany's national team might host a team from the Jewish nation? Times have changed!

We need to get rid of DCL.  The problem we have is that the way he is performing, no one will be prepared to pay big bucks for him.

I played against Boreham Wood for Maidenhead United in the early 1970's. Can't give any pointers as I think their team may have changed.😁
