Gwlad reacted to Aidan in The Loneliness of the Long Distance Supporter
We're lucky to be on such a good forum. I've been a member of 1 or 2, and spectator on several more over the years and this one for me is the best one by a country mile. Feels like home.

Hear hear. I wouldn't say I feel lonely when watching on the box. I understand others feeling the same agonies and (sometime) ecstasy. All thanks to TT. Going to Goodison on Saturday it will be good to be there it's been a while.

Jags booked for a less worthy yellow than Demebele stopping a counter with a tug and Kane leaving a boot in on Holgate.
Rediculous. Absolutely rediculous what a bias little cunt.

Gwlad reacted to Paddock in Cenk Tosun
His bio on Twitter says he lives in Everton England instead of Liverpool. I love him already 😍😍

What will Klopp say about that penalty?
I hope Sam answers all questions on the penalty decision with "It doesn't matter what I or the referee think. Ask Jurgen Klopp, it's his opinion that matters." -exactly what I'd say. A nice dig

If they’ve agreed a fee and Besiktas have moved the goal
posts then we should walk away- not for a minute am I buying his board were doing the negotiations and now he’s come back they had undervalued him and not a chance a Chinese club offered that for him as they are taxed which means they’d pay close to 70 million for him.
I’m not even arsed if we don’t get him tbh- if a fee was agreed and now they want more tell them to fuck off. The seasons a write off anyway, we should stay up now so we can buy a new striker in the summer.

Too much adrenaline. As a team though this is infinitely better than recent efforts, why the fuck didn't we go for West Brom and Bournemouth like this? Madness.

But it's not the same people saying those things?
Those who thought we were in relegation trouble still think we are, or at least, could still end up being.
And those who didn't think we were in relegation trouble generally had a belief that the squad was capable of pushing on to the upper parts of the table but not good enough to challenge top 6.
And I don't know where your 'Sam the Saviour' remark is coming from. Most people knew we'd get better results under him, we knew how he'd play. It's just that we didn't think we'd ever have to accept him as our manager. We thought we were aiming for a younger longer term solution. But once appointed, most got behind Allardyce, Lee and Shakespere for the good of the club. As that's what good fans do.

Seven weeks ago we were praying for grinding out a win never mind an away win. Things are changing for the better if not pretty.

Gwlad reacted to nogs in Huddersfield (Home) Saturday December 2nd
Well what a difference 6 days makes. Sunday was as grim as I can remember as an Everton fan, looked like a doomed team. Then the board finally pulled their finger out, Unsworth told some of the senior players a few home truths and Rooney played in midfield - 2 wins and 2 clean sheets later its hard to remember what all the fuss was about!
Still don't think we're anywhere near as good as we should be, we'll get beat by Liverpool next week and by all the top 6 teams. But looking at the table and with January to come we should be aiming for 7th again.
