Popular Post Paddock
Someone had to do it- I feel dirty doing it but it’s done now. Fact is- we are in a bad place right now- clearly the first choice second etc were either unattainable or didn’t fancy it. We need someone in to steady the ship and keep us up and in his defence he has a perfect record of saving teams from relegation. Where this leaves us afterwards if he saves us is entirely another matter. I don’t like it one but but I do understand why this move has been made. We all need to get behind the team now as getting relegated just isn’t an option with a new stadium on the horizon. Dark day for us blues but we’ll have to give him a chance now he’s here. MC11
Sorry can't think of a worse appointment. On par with Pardew. What a massive massive step backwards. We are in shit markjazzbassist and Matt
Shukes
He’s here now so I’ll get behind the team... again. I hate saying that as it implies I am hanging onto scraps... which I am. well if he steadies the ship and gets us results then I’ll be interested to see what he does in January. Moshiri says he has his backing and will help him bring in who he wants, so let’s see. would be nice for a performance tonight in Unsys last game. A thank you and take care from the players while also showing their new boss watching what they can do. COYBs! markjazzbassist
milesey05
Big Sam's in and that is that-Everyone is fucked off but then again we have all been angered by every single performance this season. Time to put the past in the past and get behind Sam and the team.
MC11
This appointment gives me massive massive doubts about the future of the club. I just can't help but think we will be the next Villa. The guy has won nothing. Has a track record of buying yard dogs and plays hoofball. Complete panick appointment in my opinion. When you look at the score lines Koeman was bringing in compared to the dross Unsworth served up we should have held on to Koeman. This is a massive step backwards and gives me massive doubts about Moshiri markjazzbassist, Chach, Matt and 1 other

Quinn31
When you're in the shit, you're not going to attract top tier managers with astounding track records. That's just how football works. It's like people actually believed Ancelotti was coming in on a unicorn with Tuchel as his assistant. markjazzbassist

Buying yard dogs is what you do to keep teams in the prem. I don't think we are in any position to talk about great transfer coups- especially after this summer. There’s a reason we left him swinging initially and that was because he was always the choice if we literally had no place to go. The fact that no one of any reputable standing would touch us should tell you alls you need to know about the state the clubs in. No he’s never won trophies but he’s not been brought in to win them he’s been brought in to keep us up.

I'm pretty sure Dyke and Silva would have taken it if their clubs would have allowed it. If we'd really of pushed we'd have got them. From what I can gather we've just had no ambition to go and get a decent manager. aaron
Moshiri was meant to be our saviour. Looks quite the fucking opposite now. Ross Barkley will happily go sit on Spurs bench if it means his manager is Pochettino and not this nobhead, and you know what, I don't blame him. markjazzbassist, Romey 1878 and Matt

You’re summarising what you haven’t read, it’s no different and we’ll never truly know but 6 weeks have gone by- if they wanted Allardyce from the start he would have been in long ago - it’s clear as day we can’t get who we want so have had to take him imo. Pretty much none I totally agree- for me it’s not even about appointing him anymore it’s how it got to the stage where we had to appoint him- it’s this board fucking up big time yet again and the fans are the ones who suffer. Popular Post Bill
We now employ a crook who was sacked by the FA after one game, he should never have been allowed near another football Club. EFCs integrity and standing in the football world has just taken a massive downturn, and to rub salt in the wound they have done the unthinkable by bringing an ex redshite in to assist him. How the mighty have fallen. God help us. markjazzbassist, Elston Gunnn, Sev and 2 others

johnh
Whoever we got they would have found the same problem. A squad consisting of: Inexperienced players, over the hill players, crap players, can't be bothered players, and just a handful of good 'tryers'. Allocate names to categories as appropriate. Paddock
I’m not arsed one iota about his bribe allegations or whythe FA sacked him- it’s rife in football so lets not pretend there’s only a corrupt few. I am arsed that he’s not the type of manager with the style of football I want at my club but if he keeps us up I’ll make me peace with the whole sorry saga.
