  1. Fair play to Godfrey for stepping in at rb but that can’t happen again. Complete disaster. requires cover as he’s not athletic enough to mark wingers. The cover was Allan cuz James can’t do it. The entire team is unbalanced at that point, and it happened all the time as Southampton is well-coaches. You can man-mark James all game with no threat of Godfrey getting forward. That allows them to keep their shape all game and we can never get numbers advantage on the left where we can be lethal. Bad day at the office. We’re still top of the table!! Hopefully Kenny is fit for Newcastle (if not play Davies or Delph there) and Digne gets his red overturned (unlikely).
  2. Iwobi wasn’t on the left he was in for Richarlison as 2nd striker. It’s usually Gomes and today it was Siggy. Who was shit too for most of the game.
  3. Only because it would further prove what a complete fucking farce VAR is.
  4. Said this when it happened and will continue to until proven otherwise, he made a remarkable recovery from that injury but getting back on the field is different than getting back to who you were. Andre seems a tremendous lad so I'm desperate for him to prove me wrong but I don't think we will ever see him back to his best. Horrendous injury that is a burden physically and mentally for almost everyone who goes through it.
  5. Perfect summary of my thoughts as well. Not only have we not won one for 10 years if we’re honest with one another we haven’t looked like winning one, even the draws, in the past 5 or 6 years. More than anything I want to see us go for it. Put on our big boy pants and try to outplay them, not accept a draw as a good result from the off. If the ambitions the manager and players talk about, and we have as fans, are real we need to take that step. It starts today. Up the FUCKING Toffees. COYB.
  6. Still stunned we have so many players on the books. Bowler is hurt so he stays until January, but Beni, Connolly and Pennington need to go if they hope to have any future as professionals. Broadhead and JVirginia could certainly use a loan or the case of the GK we need to sell Lossl. Bolasie will ride out his deal and frankly I don't blame him. Besic is a toss up. Looks like the only possible addition is a late run at Josh King, we'll see. Would like to see at least 5 out the door in the next 24 hours...
  7. Thank you @markjazzbassist IN: Nkounkou, Allan, James, Doucoure, GodfreyOUT: Schneiderlin, Hornby, Baines (retired), Dowell, Sandro, Walcott (loan then contract ends)LOAN IN: Olsen LOAN OUT: Markelo, Gibson, Adeniran, KeanYOUTH: Jagne YOUTH pro deals: Markelo, Ouzounidis, Quirk, Kristensen, McAllister, Hagan, Onyango, Kouyate, Whitaker, Welch, Price CONTRACT EXT: Branthwaite, Keane, Gordon, J VirginiaOFFICIALLY RELEASED: Stekelenberg(Ajax), Niasse, Martina, Garbutt (Blackpool), Feeney (Sunderland), Denny (Salford), Foulds, Adedoyin (Sheff Wed), Mampala, Phillips (Huddersfield) Hopefully Lossl and J Virginia both go out on loan. Lossl could be sold. With Godfrey in would be nice to get Branthwaite out playing as well. Still have Besic, Beni, Bolasie, Connolly, Pennington, Broadhead, and Bowler who need new clubs. If we're looking for an attacker Josh King, Benrahama or Deeney can still be brought in. Hopefully we're not done yet.
  8. No clue why just have a feeling this is going to happen. Just makes too much sense for all parties involved. Hopefully he is good.
  9. All of a sudden we're looking a little thin in the 'creative' positions - assuming Walcott and Bernard go. Not including Sandro or Bolasie. Pickford Lossl JVirginia Coleman Kenny Holgate Keane Mina Godfrey Branthwaite Digne Nkounkou Allan Delph Gbamin Besic Doucoure Gomes Siggy Davies Beni James Iwobi Gordon Richarlison DCL Tosun Good news is this would indicate alot of faith in Gordon. Definitely need cover for DCL/Richarlison though.
  10. That last part is spot on. Anything that happens today is just the icing on the cake. We've had a spectacular window. Maybe the best in all of Europe.
  11. Clearly told? That’s some real inside info. He punches because he has no fucking clue how to catch, which as we learned today includes 2mph loopers. He’s changed scenery with England what a dozen times now? Hasn’t helped yet
  12. You think? Curious what more you’d need to see to stop thinking about it. I’ve been wrong on many players before but Pickford is not one of them. He is not and will never be good enough for this club.
  13. Generally a big fan of keeping the formation/shape the same throughout a season. We don't have a like for like with Richy so I'm struggling here. Could be James, Iwobi or Bernard. Ultimately went for James. Since he played midweek we could save some of his legs and reduce his need to track back. Assumed Allan is out as well. Delph best solution here despite my dislike - to his credit he played very well against West Ham. Pickford Coleman Mina Keane Digne Iwobi Delph Doucoure Gomes James DCL
  14. Remember this conversation about rotation when we don't have Richy or Allan for the derby.
  15. Good to see him up looked a nasty ankle twist but sub him out now.
  16. This has been more enjoyable to watch than the actual wins. For years we folded like a cheap motel bed after conceding, now we actually have some balls.
  17. I'll be with you in the minority on this Pete. Was watching the Spurs game thinking he could succeed there.
  18. Interesting to see Barkley at Villa and Lookman at Fulham confirmed today.
  19. Pickford Kenny Keane Digne Nkounkou Iwobi Delph Siggy Gordon Kean Bernard
  20. Agreed on siggy. Delph and Davies for the same reason. Walcott, Tosun, Sandro, Besic, Bolasie all good shouts though. Hopefully London would appeal to them enough to reduce wages.
