Said this when it happened and will continue to until proven otherwise, he made a remarkable recovery from that injury but getting back on the field is different than getting back to who you were. Andre seems a tremendous lad so I'm desperate for him to prove me wrong but I don't think we will ever see him back to his best. Horrendous injury that is a burden physically and mentally for almost everyone who goes through it.

Perfect summary of my thoughts as well. Not only have we not won one for 10 years if we’re honest with one another we haven’t looked like winning one, even the draws, in the past 5 or 6 years. More than anything I want to see us go for it. Put on our big boy pants and try to outplay them, not accept a draw as a good result from the off. Still stunned we have so many players on the books. Bowler is hurt so he stays until January, but Beni, Connolly and Pennington need to go if they hope to have any future as professionals. Broadhead and JVirginia could certainly use a loan or the case of the GK we need to sell Lossl. Bolasie will ride out his deal and frankly I don't blame him. Besic is a toss up. Looks like the only possible addition is a late run at Josh King, we'll see. Would like to see at least 5 out the door in the next 24 hours...

Everton 2 - 0 Brighton James

Generally a big fan of keeping the formation/shape the same throughout a season. We don't have a like for like with Richy so I'm struggling here. Could be James, Iwobi or Bernard. Ultimately went for James. Since he played midweek we could save some of his legs and reduce his need to track back. Assumed Allan is out as well. Agreed on siggy. Delph and Davies for the same reason. Walcott, Tosun, Sandro, Besic, Bolasie all good shouts though. Hopefully London would appeal to them enough to reduce wages.

That is fantastic!! Always had a soft spot for Besic if you're ever looking to sell that shirt let me know, it's possible i could find enough in the couch cushions to take it off your hands.

@markjazzbassist on this one. I think our cultures are polar opposites in this regard. If we said 95% of adult jerseys in england are nameless on the back, I'd say 95% of adults jerseys in US have names on the back. I bought the James home shirt the day he signed, it showed up last week and it has already gotten multiple comments while I've been out running errands. I'll wait for the 3rd kit to go on sale and throw Allan or Gordon on it. Already have jerseys with Coleman, Digne, Richarlison, Davies, Besic and DCL.

Meant to post this after Spurs as well, the one thing I wish we had (now that we have a good squad and world-class manager ) is the 'game killer'. When we're up by a goal in the 80th minute we don't have anyone at the club to come on and kill the game. It looks like Delph is going to assume that role but he doesn't fill me with confidence. We'll see how it goes.
