Most are rightfully skeptical after 3 yrs of Martinez but you cannot start judging Moshiri/Koeman/Walsh until this time next year. In my eyes top half this year can be defined as success. We all want more for the club obviously but this investment has always been a long term build. It's not oil money from the middle east or russia, and FFP is in place now. This is a legitimate re-build of the club from the inside out.

Having said that if we look like this a year from now ill be absolutely fuming.

I support RK but can I just say for a moment I really really miss David Moyes. I'm starting to sound like a broken record but I firmly believe managers are guilty of overthinking the game. If you are less talented than your opposition I support passion and attitude above trying to gain a tactical advantage. Say what you want about him I miss the feeling of turning on the TV every single week knowing I was going to see effort and determination. Most important thing to me as a supporter.

Look at what it means to Conte, Klopp, Mourinho and Guardiola. Perhaps Arsenal never win anything because Arsene isnt passionate enough. Hated RM's one armed fist in the air, really hate Koemans expressionless face. I want Moyes tearing up and down the sideline.

On that note if things don't work out for RK I want Eddie Howe so fucking badly. Bournemouth are must watch.

    Changes since Feb 27 2016.
    Legitimate owner
    Replaced RM with RK
    Hired DoF
Replaced stones, howard, osman, pienaar and hibbert with Williams, Stek, Gueye and Bolasie and 2.4mill in the bank
    Kept Rom
More stadium progress than previous 10 yrs

Sissoko chose champs league team (thankfully), Lucas perez chose champs league team, witsel chose european comp. Kone, Gabbiadini, Carvalho, Brahimi all kept by current team.

Gabbiadini for 30m vs. Valencia on loan seems like a wash to me. Valencia has at least played in the league and had some success. He's better than kone and we dont have to buy. Thats why its called an option.

This whole argument about deadline day. Leicester, Chelsea and Stoke were only teams to make significant signings. We should be happy that we dont consider Robson-Kanu, Mbokani, Arbeloa, Hendrick, Ndong, and some ManU u-23s as great signings.

Mid-April was my lowest point as an Evertonian. We are miles, MILES, ahead of where we were just 4-5 months ago. RM fucked us so badly there is only so much that can be done in each window. Top 10 by january within striking distance and RK/Walsh/Moshiri will sign more players and push on for european football. To me that is being realistic.

Look at the player Deeney made out of Ighalo. He's limited but he unlocks the door for others.

Late to the party as I dont check in on the weekend. Just two quick notes:

    1. I'm consistently the over-positive one on this board and I will keep that going. These games are why being an Everton fan is so special. Family, atmosphere, effort, courage. When those things combine into one performance I just sit there in complete and sheer delight. I dont want billions of dollars, i dont want diego costa ability, eden hazard ability, john terry ability, mesut ozil ability, yaya toure ability, raheem sterling ability etc. More than anything, more than any trophy, i want players who pull on the blue shirt with pride and show their effort on the pitch. Trophies are short term examples of superiority. Family, atmosphere, effort, courage are lifelong endeavors only the best achieve.

    2. That was the best performance by a match official i can remember. take a bow michael oliver, that was a proper job.

Agreed except at this point i think that is completely our opinions. So far with 3 at the back we are outscoring our opponents and keeping a clean sheet. Mirallas put an end to that scoreline and system with his ridiculous play. I hate the system. Hate it. However we have yet to determine if it can be effective for Everton - way too small a sample size.

I respectfully disagree with you and Haf. First off i disagree with your premise that defending 101 calls for men on the posts. Absolutely not true and i am not arsed about that at all, plenty of folks support two men on the posts and plenty don't. I would much prefer to have two extra men able to win the header then have them trying to clear the ball off the line after its won by an opponent. McCarthy is irrelevant - ball was in with or without Rondon's influence. Joel was off balance and leaning to come get the ball, im not saying he left his line, but he was caught in two minds. Thats what led to him flailing like a fish as he tried to go collect the ball.

I guess my point is that, having been a defender for 15 years (and im not saying you didnt play - i have no idea), i fully expect my gk to punch that ball over the bar for another corner.

Having said all that, we defend corners like a sieve and its completely embarrassing. Ball never should have gotten to Joel but it did and he fucked up.

Don't let him have an influence. Piece of shite that he is. Need to score twice before he awards a dubious penalty to let Bournemouth back in.

Like it or not these games happen. Absolutely battered them and were tremendously unlucky. For me the biggest issues from the match are the same two we have had all season. GK and Kone. Joel absolutely 100% at fault on the goal. Hes in no mans land moving toward a ball he has no business coming for. Looping header in the air for days and ends up in the net. Unacceptable. Howard would be toasted for that and rightly so. Terrible goal to concede. Kone complete and utter disaster. Should have been mirallas. Dont have any issue with Deulofeu for lennon or osman for mccarthy. Cant have 7 attackers need room to break them down, which we did. Just couldnt find the finishing touch.

Attack Bournemouth and advance. Get the win at villa. Massive massive game at Goodison vs West Ham. COYB

Why should a manager give a shit about our footballing history? He cant buy back Dixie Dean, he cant buy back the mid 80's. All a manager is concerned with is his ability to be successful. It's easier to be successful with a great squad, large transfer budget, large stadium, large fan support, great chairman/CEO. Difficult to say right now where Everton sit on that scale with regard to Stoke, West Ham, Leicester, Southampton

Timing seems right to point out I'm still so happy to be an Everton fan. Perhaps I'm stupid/naive/crazy but I would rather finish 8th with our club than 4th with the likes of Utd, City, Chelsea. Everton is a club full of genuinely good footballers and personalities. I would hate to have to root for Diego Costa, Yaya Toure, Memphis Depay etc. I'm still firmly entrenched in the RM camp, but there is no doubt results need to improve. Whatever happens I am so thankful this club chose me.
