I think people need to accept that there are fans (fanatics) and supporters/followers. This isn't a case of one being better than the other, or about whether you go the game or not, or caring more about the club than someone else.
 
Fans tend to be interested in every single detail of the club, and they often get caught up in the emotion of things. I know I've lost my head a few times. Whereas supporters/followers don't sweat the small stuff and look at things in a more methodical way. They are able to take a step back. It may come across as not caring as much but that's an unfair accusation to throw about.
 
There's no right or wrong way to go about being part of the Everton family, you just need to accept that people will do it in different ways.
 
I probably haven't worded this right or got what I mean across but there it is.

We're going to see nothing but negative stories about our club (and fans) from the British media at least until the window closes. We stopped Chelsea getting exactly what they wanted, what the media have been trying to help them get all summer long, so now we have to deal with the "consequences". Fucking shitehawks. Well fucking bring it, give us a siege mentality, Everton and Evertonians thrive off that. I can't wait for the home game against Chelsea, it's going to be one hell of an atmosphere and if we win? Can't even describe how good that will feel to be a part of.

Serious question, because I'm not as tactically aware as most (which I'm happy to admit). Why is a "number 10" suddenly such an important addition? We had pretty much the same personnel in 13/14 so managed a record points total without one so why is the position now seen as the panacea for us?

Its not sudden. We need someone to feed our goalscorer. 1st season, with a new dynamic, we were unknown to a degree; defensive resilience on top of fast attacking play based on new believe after being so predictable and sussed for 10 years. Then, Martinez stepped up his ideal of being "Spain 2008"; he did a gentle introduction to his philosophy to full blow "this is how I want to play". He wants to control possession more than he did in the first season, which was almost a Holloway approach of "we'll out score you, bring it". It was quick and confident initially which went to "Fuck! I don't want the ball! But the boss says 'keep the ball' errrrrrr, you have it!" = panic and then mistakes.
 
We need that someone who is actually capable of linking up play, with the ideal of building from the back and can facilitate and chance creation to the person bought to put it in the net. We don't have that, so we're asking that big lad up front to do the job as if Walter Smith and Joe Walker are still in charge.
 
Martinez is 5-7 years behind the game or a purist to boring football. The future is pressure football. Vault me.

I agree he shouldn't be starting but he can still come on and have a positive impact on games for us. Its not like he has ever had any pace to lose, he just doesn't look like he has a full 90 minutes in him nowadays

The right way would be mostly from the bench and if the opposition don't have a lot of pace.

This squad even with an injury or two, under Moyes would have easily have been safe and probably even pushing 7th, under Martinez, or at least how he was for major parts last season, I can see us struggle.He ( Martinez ) doesn't seem to get the best out of the players hence other teams don't fear us.
 
How can I say that about a team that includes Baines, Coleman, Stones, Jags, Barkley, Deulofeu, Mirallas, Pienaar, Lukaku, Cleverley and some other half decent players, McCarthy etc.

They aren't going to get Kroos. He's on another tier to that lot. Liverpool can't attract that calibre atm. Kroos will want to play CL football.
