Signed a new four year contract.
Good news.
Hopefully we can get some, injury free, CB depth back and send him out on Loan in January.

Out of contract end of 22/23 season: Begovic, Lonergan, Mina, Seamus, Allan, Gordon, Davies, Townsend, Rondon
Think Doucore's contract ends at the end of season as well.

Can we still loan to the Championship after the epl window closes?
If we manage to get 2 more mids and another fwd, I'd hope we loan Warrington and Mills out.

He would be really exciting. Though he may be the only player I’ve ever seen who is more left footed than McNeil. It’s like he has no right foot at all.
Wow, you're not kidding... 8 min "highlights" video and fairly certain it didn't show a single right footed pass. Barely even saw him using it for control or dribbling.

Well either you or @Shukesis lying, so
Lol, just plain wrong is an option...
I was only watching the match clock, no stop watch out. I'm certainly biased by refs getting regularly stooged by time wasting antics.

Was anyone keeping time during the stoppages though? Felt like it was about 2-3 minutes, which is how much time Oliver added on before he blew the whistle
It was close to 5, then additional stoppages after 95 mins

Who does he bring on? Dele, who he clearly doesn't rate? Vinagre, a wingback?
I guess you could bring on Onana and move Iwobi forward, but that's about it
We're chasing the game, so chase it.

Where are the changes Lampard?

Let's get this guy in

Is Gray physically incapable of passing?

This is a myth.
Really!?! Pretty random thing to come about.

Wasn't all that thrilled with this one, due to his lack of pace and being fairly limited to the back 3 (that I want us to move on from).
That interview though... He's worth it just for the locker room.
-
Can we get Garner off them then.
-
Definitely going to be needing at least another CB to reinforce, possibly 2 if we move Mina on.
Coady seems pretty likely. Dan-Axel Zagadou and Jason Denayer are both out of contract and could be decent options.

West Ham have agreed a fee for him - £33m.
Geez they've spent up this year, 120m euro out and 0 in. Jealous about this one and Scamacca, although both pricey.

I wouldn’t say any of those are predominantly any side (Dele in particular is not a wide player). Forget Mills, and we know Iwobi isn’t a winger as we found out last season, finally. If Townsend makes a good recovery we don’t need to be counting on him either.
Gordon and Gray are both right footed, we need a left footed winger in there. As we’ve not had a left footed winger for some time I don’t think we’ve seen anything to suggest the want for them to be inverted. But only having right footers we’ve had to play one of them on the left.
If we did play with inverted wingers it reduces the threat of DCL as a goal scorer anyway.
We’ll need options, if we have two right and two left footered wingers it will give that.
Not disagreeing with any of that, just looking at where they have all predominantly played (which is left, according to Transfermarkt).
I'm hoping that we'll be fairly fluid across the wing positions, swapping during a game but inverted wingers is pretty well the norm now and was Lampard's style at Chelsea.
As for DCL, I'd say he (and Everton) needs to be less predictable anyway.

Why?
Otherwise we're backed up with 4 - 5 predominantly left sided players (Gordon, Gray, Dele, McNeil, Cornet), whereas we only have 1 (Townsend) on the right. Possibly 3, if including Mills and Iwobi on the right.
McNeil and Cornet are left footed, if Lampard wants inverted wingers.
-
Assuming that we'd be looking at converting him (and Cornet) to playing predominantly on the right side?
-
Can we just sign Colwill & Cornet on a perms, as well as Winks and Gilmour on loans already. Hopefully loan/buy Garner as well.
We just need some shit to solidify this year, before we can build again. I'd even take Ismaila Sarr on loan, just to get some right sided options.
Also, how we're not deep in to Belotti for a couple of years of wages is beyond me. He likes the ball in behind but is used to coming short (Torino). He's also not Rondon.
As much as I want a high quality 6/8, it seems we're truly skint. Let's suck it up for a year or so, and start risking it on players a year or 2 before we would have previously.

Best of luck Richarlison, big thanks for the effort he put in for us.
Hope he does well and becomes their best player, but they crash and burn as a team.

He'll get plenty of minutes for us in the Championship next year.
