he sets a great example that many others could do worse than follow.
    I love the lad.

It's always a bad idea to give people freedom to make important political decisions. This is something that requires proper education or at least common sense about the likely consequences.

Wow. Didn't knew he's brother of Blanca Vlasic. Also their father is decathlon record holder.

Yeah, and Carragher is a wanker. The Ref made huge mistake with Walker's first booking, which wasn't deserved.

No resell value and will serve us 2-3 years only before we need to invest fresh money into another striker. And he's not that good. I'm looking for someone of Lukaku's or better quality. Don't think Kruse is anywhere near that quality. I would rather sign someone younger and in development, who can reach the heights in the forthcoming future. Andrea Belotti is great example of young, but already solid striker with big future ahead. I'm not saying we're in position to sign Belotti though.

Muted 100 grand, Koeman said there was a "very good" offer on the table. That in itself is enough for me to believe the contract was a good one. He's refused to sign it, whether that is for money, personal reasons, champions league football or he wants a move away from the city is anyones guess but Barkley is the master of his own destiny, he's the only one who can sign the contract.

I'm absolutely certain the club are not to blame in this- they've done what they can, offered him the best deal possible, the managers publicly stated he wants him to stay. There's no more they can do, the ball is firmly in Barkleys court and he's put it up his jumper and fucked off with it.

DCL created the two best chances we had one for Rooney and one for Klaassen. I'm surprised by the majority here saying he wasn't good enough.

Ross got 2900 premier league minutes last season. That makes 32 full time matches out of 38. Clearly shows that the manager trust him. I don't know why the contract offer came so late, but it came eventually and he rejected it. From what we know for sure, I don't think we have reasons to blame Koeman for anything.

I don't care. It's just an armband. Actually stripping of the armband from Jags may only have negative impact on some players and little to no positives. I can't see Rooney getting more influential by giving him the captaincy.

I would risk loosing him for free, but trying to convince him to stay. There are 12 months still, plenty of time to change his mind. The lad has a place in the team.

He will earn £15m as a bonus, and the sum will be paid on weekly/monthly basis for the duration of his contract. For example 2 year contract has 24 months which means he will earn extra £625k each month over his basic salary. If the club decide to offload him early, then the remaining of this bonus should be paid in full before he leaves. If the player force exit, then the club has no obligations to pay the remaining of the bonus. That's why it's called loyalty bonus.

I was a bit frustrated by the manager's behaviour with Niasse. Yes, he's shit, but it's our fault we signed him. It was a humiliation not giving him a locker and not allowing him to train with the seniors from the very first week of the pre-season last summer. It's like he has done something very bad to be treated like a garbage. It was a bit too much.

We're not in the position to attract players of Bruyne's quality, as we are in transition, but hopefully we will in the near future. By the current market, if Sigurdsson cost £40m, Bruyne should be £100m although truth is he's unsellable right now. There aren't much options in front of us. We can't compete for the TOP prospects in the game like Tielemans, we can't also compete for the TOP proven players. We are a little behind and in the pool of realistic targets, there isn't much better than Gylfie in terms of proven quality. I would prefer someone younger though, but I won't be disappointed if we sign him either.

Also in terms of Barca's playing style. They won't survive in Premier league with it. Yeah they can compete with English clubs in two round clashes here and there, because they posses the best lineup in the world, but doing it every week is impossible to become champions in England. It's like Spanish and English football are from different planets and what works here, won't work there and vise versa.

I just can't figure what formation we are going to play. Too many midfielders, too short of quality wingers. Rooney, Barkley, Sigurdsson, Davy... all of them are playing at their best behind the striker. Surely all of them except Rooney can play deeper, but there we have Gana, Morgan, Davies, Barry and some forgotten names like Besic and McCarthy. We need to offload three midfielders as we don't need so many, and sign one quality winger preferably playing on the right, as we currently have - Sandro, Bolasie, Lennon and Lookman, but surely we need to improve in that area. And we need a new number 9 of course.

Bolasie was a mistake. We should have never signed him.

To be fair rather you and Bill sound like prima donnas. What I know is that nobody but the club insiders knows what the real situation is, so please stop moaning.

He doesn't deserve more than £90k in my opinion. And signing on a 5 year contract for £100k doesn't mean that new deal can't be negotiated during those 5 years if he shows he deserves better contract. Nobody wants unhappy players and if he deserve the bigger paycheck we won't lose him because of that. I'm pretty sure we're capable of paying Lukaku whatever he wants to stay, but that's not the case, because he simply wants to leave. It's in Barkley's interests to accept the deal and stay, otherwise he's risking his career going Rodwell's way. If he prefers being a benchwarmer at £150k he's free to go.

Our team hasn't got the stamina to play 98 minutes. This goal was absolutely logical. We were poor most of the second half. Barkley was a disgrace to watch. Subbing Valencia and keeping Lennon and Barkley was a very stupid decision.

If we had conceded in the first half, probably would have won the game.
