What is has done on occasion in American football is cause the ref to NOT make a call, and then let VAR look at it, I guess it can seem better to "defer" than to make a call and have to overturn it. But I think the system itself has merit.
More cards for simulation, and more cards for non-captains crowding around the ref after a call, and more cards for making "angry" contact with ref. Letting all that side it what gets game out of hand in the first place and makes everything life-or-death. That would affect the game more than VAR. I wish they would use VAR and start slapping cards on players who roll around like their spleen is ruptured stopping the game, and the replay shows he got a toe on his shinguards...

I have certainly noticed that it has many similarities to Trump's economic policies here in the US. There isn'tt a lot of middle ground, -you are clearly either an isolationist who doesn't care about the world/ patriot who wants self-determination or you are a humanitarian who values the well being of nations/socialist who doesn't care about your county. So yeah it arouses some heated "discussions" to say the least!

To all the Dad's out there, Happy Father's Day.  I can honestly say that being a father is my proudest accomplishment, i love my kids.  

Wow. Despite the way it ended for us, it was hard to cheer against him - even if I wasn't cheering for him. It will be hard to not to continue to pull for that guy moving forward.

I think England actually played better than it "feels".  First half was good, but Tunisia grew well after the pen, but England hung in and got the 3 points, that's all that matters in the end.

Belgium came all out in the second half. Very good stuff and two goals for Big Rom. Mertens' goal was absolute class too.

Belgium is the only favorite who has impressed in the openers. France. Germany and Brazil all looked like they expected to win just by showing up.
I can't stand Neymar's antics on the pitch, so much so that, for me, it overshadows his talent. I don't want to see him get another broken back, but I wish him nothing but frustration and failure on the pitch.
