  1. I didn’t watch it I can’t think of anything worse than watching a bunch of Tories trying to out do each other, it must have been like watching a bunch of pricks becoming even a bigger bunch of pricks.
  2. Very mixed signals about was the sale of the club ever on the agenda, but now he has confirmed it isn’t for sale so we are firmly back relying on him and his board of directors to find the funds for the team and the Stadium, I genuinely wish them well in this quest for the sake of the fans and a management team who need funds to implement their plans.
  3. Have you just bought a copy of the World according to Shukes, if so congratulations Matt you’ve really taken it on board
  4. Not seen much of Warrington, Dobbin from what I’ve seen of him could definitely make an impact and very much a Lampard style of player, I was hoping that Patterson becomes the number 1 RB this season and was looking forward to someone taking over Coleman as backup.
  5. Another RB, CD, F/ Striker, CM, just to start with unless the under 23s have genuine players who can come in and fill those positions without letting the club down and embarrassing themselves because they’ve been asked to do a job there clearly not capable of.
  6. Religion is a set of rules or values drawn up by someone else that you follow, or you can set out your own values that you are going to live to, without following the texts of Christian, Catholic, Muslim, Mormons, Jewish, the list is endless of religion’s that you can become a follower of, but setting your own set of rules or values for how you are going to live your life, shouldn’t be classed as religion or religious beliefs, let’s be honest how you believe you should live your life could go against multiple religious faiths. But you are right treat offers as you would want to be treated, but you don’t need any religious faith to abide by that way of thought, you just need the honesty and conviction to try your upmost to live by your own beliefs.
  7. I don’t believe in God, but I believe in religion but I personally don’t practice any religious faith, I have no problem with anyone who believe’s in God each to their own, I unfortunately do have a problem with what some people do in the name of a religious faith.
  8. I think Starmer should throw his hat in the ring he’d probably win it.
  9. Good shout, I’m sure one of the mods can move it.
  10. Fair play mate what band did you play in apologise if you’ve already said and I’ve missed it. Or should I be putting George in front of Formby to get the answer
  11. Silver spoon comes to mind Just had a thought your dad was on nearly 8 times the national wage at the time, probably not the correct formula to workout what that would be equivalent to today, but I’m going to if just for effect to show how different your life must have been to most of us at that time If we say the average wage today is £28,000 pa then your dad would have been on £224,000 pa not bad
  12. He doesn’t seem to have much choice. No I never witnessed his toys to be honest didn’t even know he collected toy soldiers, didn’t see him after 78 till 2005 when he was helping the She beat’s and haven’t seen him since 2006/7, still lives in a big place in Swindon’s Old town I believe, were the small music bars and venues are, I moved out of Swindon over 12 years ago still get back once in a while, there’s a bar there called the Vic that has a basement that puts on live music from up and coming bands and some recognised old bands, that’s were She beats use to gig when they were getting established and Andy would be there, the last time I was there the Buzzcocks were playing it was something like a tenner a ticket max 200 people, and they were banging, proper old school venue just like it was for punks in the 70s I love it the music the nostalgia, for me nothing turns back the clock like the music of your youth.
  13. He was still a young man when he left to go out on his own at 39, hats off to your dad mate what a career to have had in the music industry. I’m going out on a limb here a bit because I’m just going from memory of the late 70s and the early 80s, and reading an article about Sid Vicious calling MGM out when he was in the states at the time he and Nancy died, about the organised crime and the Mafia owning large parts of MGM, probably a publicity stunt on his part saying they renegaded on a deal and he wasn’t scared of them even though their connection to the Mafia. The things you think you remember as a teen to early twenties even though you were completely smashed most of the time.
  14. How many years was your dad at MGM mate. Wiggy mentioned XTC I was sort of hanging with them when they first started Andy Partridge was a few years older than me, my link was I was messing about with stuff with Barry Andrews the original keyboard player met him at school he was 2-3 years older than me, then Andy came calling when he was setting up XTC and Barry Joined them, then left after 2 years because he didn’t like the direction they were heading, big mistake the direction they took made them quite a bit of money. Use to go to the bars and clubs in Swindon when Partridge was helping his daughter Holy start her group up around 2005-6, they were called the she beat’s and had a fair bit of success, all girl punk vibe well worth a look at, saw them loads of times for free when they were trying to get their set together.
  15. Let’s not get a head of ourselves he’s still looking for investors for the stadium it’s not paid for yet, it was that search for investors that lead to the Kenyon consortium buyout. I’m not for one minute saying it will stop but if the interim payments aren’t made to the builder you never know, and those who are prepared to invest maybe will look for extortionate returns which won’t benefit the club, but will Moshiri who’s well is drying up. Let’s just say there’s still a long road to go down before we start thanking him for the stadium.
  16. Yes well it’s looking like we might become an exception to that rule this season, once again Everton last out the traps playing catch-up as usual. So boring and predictable.
  17. I’m not going to knock his work of getting 12 youth or under 23s to sign new contracts, but where is our replacement for Richarlison, were is the LB and RB we desperately need, where is the creative midfielder. I hope he doesn’t live to regret he’s concentrating to much on the under 23s and the 1st team takes a back seat heading down to the Championship, whilst under 23s win PL2.
  18. Plus we don’t know if anything was said but you can bet if there was something said it would have been far from complimentary. Also after that and the game and team’s involved deserts me players were attacked, but you’re right we can’t allow fans to invade the pitch to managers and players that is there home and sanctuary from the idiots, what would any of us do in someone invaded our space were we should feel safe, most would do the same as Vieria and defend there space, surely that’s your right.
  19. Since the beginning of May we have had 53 players in rumours, including Twitter and without a link rumours we could be well into a hundred since beginning of May with 1 mentioned secured. This made me start to think and my conclusion was Everton rumours is largely full of bollocks
  20. Strange how stories change so much in 24hrs, if your reports are correct it would be nice to see some action on the transfer front, instead of paying huge wages for players on a free because there past it or not good enough to be taken by those we are trying to keep up with. If we have money to spend then let’s get on with it, and if we don’t have money to spend or aren’t able to, then I get why we are were we are waiting for players on a free who are waiting for a better offer than us, before they commit.
