  1. Seems odd that we've frozen out a quite excellent player on his day, a winger with loads of pace and a good bit of skill, we're looking to sign a younger winger today (Lookman) we haven't dealt with the Bolassie injury, and who's the forward player that our raft of wingers is aiming crosses at? Deulofeu is however light weight, and has a tendancy to easily be levered off the ball which leads to him finding the ground with his ass with his arms extended towards the referee in expectation of god-only-knows-what. The shirt on your back aint a barca shirt, and this aint the Spanish league. Why persist with him in pre season as a forward only to ignore him during the season when the bench is so light on experienced forward players (Kone and Niasse not involved, Bolassie injured meaning Mirallas rotated in in parts, and then suddenly Calvert-Lewis thrown into the breach) When clown-shoes moved in I understand he brought dross like Alcaraz, Kone and Robles along with him with a decent signing in McCarthy, so he had faces in the dressing room that could be relied upon and utilise that working relationship on the pitch following the all new tiki-taka crab ball football style. Comparing, Koeman hadn't relegated his former side and so crowbarring players out from there wasn't on the cards even if it had been allowed between the clubs. So Koeman has had to adjust to the players and their respective characters, impact with the initial signings he could make and bide his time until players that simply won't do his bidding can be shuffled on. Preseason and our league squads don't marry up. League squads and the sudden inclusion of youth players don't marry up. We're all hoping for a signing or two, but I wonder, if a poll were to be made for this January do supporters expect a net gain in players, a net loss, or for business in terms of signings and sales to break even in terms of the numbers of players (not the associated fees).
  2. Maybe it's those wages that are the hurdle to signing.
  3. Thats shocking, especially in light of recent days developments, I expected the chelsea chums would have been kindred spirits with the leeds luvvies in light of the racist examples set by former players woodgate and bowyer and the behaviour of four scumbags at a Paris underground station. (4 my eye btw!) https://www.theguardian.com/football/2001/dec/14/newsstory.sport13 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-38502340
  4. Seems some are banking on EU membership being a hot topic in forthcoming elections, and I strongly suspect a united states of europe would have been fought for much harder by British interests if British interests had a much more powerful say comparable with lets say the French for instance.
  5. Half a clown-shoes. Throwing millions away where not essential can be the difference later down the line. We've been forced and then lived through operating in the red, its cost us dearly, and we still aint clear. Time to operate like every penny counts, if the club fancy being lenient then reward the long serving foilk that turn up with lesser priced tickets and change from a £20 note for a beer, hotdog and roll of sweets. Home is where the heart is, theres supposed to be a ground move coming, rewarding those that have suffered might entice them to uproot and become part of the new face, atmosphere, construct of the club. See how to avoid the West Ham disease currently ruining a club run by deviants.
  6. Guilty of one of the most horrendous tackles in recent memory, didn't fancy earning less in the northwest than his mate Fellaini and so dug his heels in about a move. Fine, like Slaven Bilic without signing for us, shit in our direction and cost us nothing so makes him slightly better than good ole Slav. Cunt!
  7. Burden of expectation, I wonder how long before the first boo's ring out for Davies, Calvert-Lewis or Holgate. Definitely Moyes' fault, had he not stepped in and we'd sunk into relegation then the spoilt, attitude of entitlement that we constantly remind the red shite of and laughat them because of wouldn't existin our fan base.
  8. None of the venom above is or was aimed at chalkpie.
  9. Shame the media couldn't spot a genuine clown last season or fall over his oversize shoes and realise, so now buy into abject distraction and amateur-dramatic misdirection from those they've been happy to collude with in building up (the 'special' one, and whatever hog-swill guardiola had his adviders conjure at all outspending and performance drug covering up barcelona) (oh dear, that performance drug covering up looks a little out of place, recreational is nailed on in there too). Greatest managers ever, the circus is in town, pep and jose, the all new chuckle brothers. used cars, furniture, insurance, old rope, all available here, and that 19 year old shaking her ass - yeah we've got loads of that. #lowestcommondenominator.
  10. No-mans land breathes a sigh of relief at that. Your one man firing squad hopefully won't go rusty in the meantime. Christmas was last week, an armistice is overdue. Let this day live in infamy, rememberance is whats required. Another half-assed-military-pun, kaboom.
  11. tryin to get a rise out of you buttering you up no point getting a cob on blah blah neat and tidy triangles giving a bit of stick and so on....
  12. He's had more game time this season for us than quite a handful of others (Gibson, Cleverly, Besic, McGeady, Kone amongst others) and so I'm all for jettisoning some genuine wasted talent / perma-crocked before we sling a player thats done us right and been very useful as the point of retirement gets that much closer. We don't know if he's played through illness or injury, if full fitness has never quite been regained, theres lots of the support currently harping on about how much a positive it is to have Baines back to something like we remember, he's had over 12 months out and is still rebuilding actual match fitness. The Ferguson things is subjective, (I firmly believe he knew about the Stam tests amongst a lot of other players problems) and being the boss of the richest club in the land meant he had a lot of financial margin to work in when like for like signings bombed. Personnel contribute to the fabric of a club, (theres an arguement LVG was ruined the moment he forced Phelan out) and having multiple international cap winners involved with the club shows at least for some that a move to a sky4 side isn't the pinnacle of the game. That we have so many defensive youth prospects on the periphery of the squad is another reason to keep our clubs captain with us to impart experience, practice with and learn the tricks and darker arts of top flight performing. Jagielka and Lescott were a revelation for us, for a time the best CB pairing in the league that also chipped in goals (JL got 10 in a season on occasion) City lured our brummie left footer, but Arsenal could never quite get their hooks into the youth player we let go and welcomed back to captain us. Viva Jags, the end aint nigh just yet.
  13. The girls are a most peculiar shade of orange for the chill that blows in off the water?
  14. When do we play them again? Might they fancy a loan to buy so they can rule him out of the league and potential cup games? If he signs before Lukaku does his new contract will he have a time as our highest earner? Is he still being picked for France?
  15. Jagielka gets the chance to finish off here for me, similar to Osman and Hibbert, hes a great pro, made it back from a usually career ending injury, Captained a once notable international side, never pushed for a move or been a disruption (or even advised a youth player to move on) so for his experience and professionalism, he gets to bow out slowly and be a regular at the club should he want it, if that eventually means coach or ambassador then fine, hes been a great player, isn't finished, and is a great example that even having to move on doesn't mean moving backis impossible and can make a massive success atthe same time. Too many fans happy to catapult players that have given us everything, when theres waste and wasters galore to focus ire upon.
  16. Well I'm glad Lukaku has been fit, because god knows which keeper Koeman would have picked to play striker.....
  17. Double edged sword, we all want a striker so thirsty for goals he'd sell his own grandma, but when that thirst leads to others toes being stepped on then it escalates into an issue. Baines record is well above average, how many penalty misses does Lukaku have for us? Koeman has suggested if it had been 2-0 then he'd have got the penalty, so there is a little light at the end of the tunnel.....
  18. Hatchet man is likely banned so we can get a nibble on Silva with little in return. I wonder who the ref will be....
  19. "I was right all along" it's like the 'support' is diseased with the attitude. Funnily enough, and still my hot topic, how many have yet to cough regards clown-shoes. Hypocritical imbiciles, every club has them, and they're usually the thickest and loudest twats that crawl the earth.
  20. Bes out all season, McCarthy out 95% of theseason so far. Labour the point but why suddenly now?
  21. Southampton were tired, and struggled to press as they normally would, as their legs fell off Barkley got even more time to pick runners and good passes. Currently he can be pressed/pressured out of a game, he's got footwork like Gene Kelly, pace for a midfielder to match any central mid runner, but close his thinking time off and his game goes to pieces, it's not even having to double up on him, just keep a man close and cut off the easy pass and he's in trouble. Watching Barkley is about comparing where and when hes good versus where and when he aint. Maybe the more knocks he gets now and the more sides focus their spare man on him the sooner he learns to break the shackles, but, expectation is a huge drain on him.
