It did slow everything down, which is exactly was always going to happen by bringing him. That's his whole game. So by saying you can see what he was trying to do I presume you mean you could see that Silva wanted to slow the game down, so you can't really criticise him for doing it.
The game at the time was a bit stretched and he tried to gain more control in the midfield which would have been fine if we were winning, and although DCL scored shortly after I feel if Silva would have been brave and brought Kean on instead of Delph then we would have won easily, they were there for the taking but Silva decided to invite them on to us.

The penalty was shocking but it's the way we responded to it that is worse, our heads went down and we looked like a team of kids that had just been told off. The Delph substitute was a mistake, I can see what Silva was trying to do, but it just slowed everything down and we kind of lost our shape. We should be beating teams like Brighton but instead we've conceded three goals to a team that struggle to score.

Davies for me, for his work rate and desire. Holgate was a close second, but I can't choose a defender when we've conceded three.

Gomes for me, him and Davies bossed the midfield with Gomes just getting it for me. Big shout for Mina aswell.

Mina for me, Iwobi was the best of the attackers but wasted a couple of chances.

What about Southgate? Don't think he'd leave the England job, but you never know.

Give him till mid November but let it be know pull your socks up or goodbye

The thing that concerns me is not losing 4 games on the bounce it's that we've won only 2 games in a relatively easy start to the season. With the games we've played we should have been top 4 hoping for momentum to carry us forward, now we're looking the other way.
If we do get rid then the board have to decide what type of manager they want, another young hungry manager in Arteta who gets the club and was loved by the fans, downside is he has no experience. Or go for a more experienced man in someone like Wenger or Benitez.

I'm not sure who you are referring to (Tomori?) but generally speaking I agree. Our only world class players now are Kane and Sterling.
Yeah that's him couldn't remember his name and couldn't be bothered to look it up.

Seems you only have to have one good game nowadays to get an England call up. Look at that young United defender, I hadn't even heard of him before Monday night and now he's in the squad. How many good players from the 80s and 90s didn't even get a look in because the competition for places was that strong.
-
He looks a good player, I think he will do well in the premier league, but he's probably not what we need at the minute ie another young striker untested in the premier league.

There's no way Liverpool will get kicked out, probably just a fine. Their tie against Arsenal is the biggest tie of the round and will make the EFL and Sky a lot of money in sponsorship and advertising.

No one

Lacked passion and determination today, I've seen more watching Sunday league.
Silva doesn't seem to have any idea for how to play against the so called lesser teams who sit behind the ball, he needs to learn and quick. Our build up play is to slow and we never seem to play a long diagonal ball to switch the play. Utterly feed up tonight.
