I just hope they show the spirit they showed against the shite, and city, and not what they showed against wolves and Bournemouth.
Its no good just being up for it in so called big games, When in fact the teams around us are the big games.
Although Brighton are not in a relegation battle, they are home game we must win.

Don't believe that we are starting with DCL, against a team we have no chance of winning, but a big chance of him being injured again, because of the amount of running he will have to do chasing shadows, surly it makes sense to play him in a game he can influence, and we have a chance of winning.
-
Put the under 21s out, and get everyone fit for a game we have a chance in.
-
A lot say we were the better team, not sure about that, they let us have the ball in our own half, good tactics by them
We had no urgency, no spirit no bottle, same as before the break, yes we had a few chances, but again no venom, all safe side foots, or soft headers straight to the keeper no one trying to stamp there authority, everyone playing safe, Gordon & McNeill first thoughts are to go back, in front of goal pathetic side foots, instead of putting your foot through the ball. Remember before the break we let in 7 goals in three days to a team below us, today 2 gals at home to a team below us, this is not bad look, this is a group of players bereft of spirit, confidence and leadership, and its not all Franks fault, its the owners who have bought all the crap players we have had the last 5 years or more.
We keep saying this DOF will be better or That DOF will be better, well we had the best from Leicester, the best from Ajax, now Thelwell who bought McNeill, and Maupay.
I don't know the answer, i do know i have seen a lot worse teams at Goodison over my 60+ years of watching them, but never seen teams with no spirit or bottle as the last 3 or 4 years as this lot, in fact since this owner came in, big Joe got a ramshackled bunch of misfits, and not only kept them up, but won a trophy.
We have got to stop saying we were unlucky, or we will be ok when DCL returns or anyone else for that matter, we lost 2 to Bournemouth, and wolves in the last 3 games.
We need major surgery at the club, but sadly the 2 we need to get rid of are set in concrete, and only Frank is accessible to get the boot.
Until BK, who has been wonderful for this club, but not in a long time, and Moshri then things are not going to change.
Sorry for the ramblings, but a very frustrated and worried Toffee supporter.

How was it avoidable, you have no evidence to prove that if we played a full strength team in the cup the outcome in both games wouldn't have been the same, how about this for an excuse instead of Lampard letting the team and players down, it could be better argued that team and players let the manager down.
The results proved it was a bad decision, but you are 100% right the players let the manager down.

Great come back from the boys from the valleys. Should have gone on to win.

I don't understand the 7 countries that have buckled to Infantino, and his corrupt group, at the threat of a yellow card, not decapitation, a yellow card.
Take it, after all the fuss afterwards they would have to back down or lose there tournament, and if it carries on make someone else captain in the next game.
We are playing Iran, not Brazil, this is so spineless, and i can only apologise to those who have campaigned for so long to put things right.
Whatever the FA come out with they have sold us all down the river, at the threat of a yellow card, they have disgraced them selves and us.

If Kane does not wear it, it will send out the message we weren't that bothered about it.
Fifa have known for a long time what we had in mind and said nothing till 24 hours before the game.
One man does not run world football, tell him to do one, and wear it, pass it pound the team and all take a booking, its only one game, make them change dont back down.
No battle was ever won without sacrifice. Infantino has shown with his rants he is a clueless bully.

Reading between the lines, Bielsa has turned them down, Martinez wants a break after the world cup, so Frank will stay till early next year.

Excellent manager now - they’ve struck gold with Emery because how you described them is the complete opposite to Gerard’s Villa.
I agree but is that relevant after 2 games, we have had years with different managers and not fought like that.
Its much more deep rooted with us, i would not be surprised if Frank was told to play a 2nd string side, by the owners who are probably in talks with RM now, to take over at xmas. Its changes at the top we need.
-
Its not about bring him back or sign him, there is no spirit at the club, no back bone, no pride, no aggression.
Get Joe Royal back to instil what it means to play for us.
-
Just watched the villa game, everything we are not, aggressive, dirty, spirit, passion. a bad result for us.

In the last ten years, we have had to suffer a lot of lows, and the odd high, normal for an Everton supporter.
We have constantly said on here, we will be better when he's fit, or when he's fit, but the truth is we were not.
After losing Richi, and DCL never being fit, the battle became even harder.
But in reality, we have a new back 4, 2 new defensive mids, new winger and new CF.
We are still in relegation dog fight, i think what Frank did in the cup game, was a huge error, he should have changed 2 or 3 players and tried to get a cup run going to boost confidence, he only managed to increase the pressure for the next game, and remember we lost over 2 games to a side below us 7-1 overall.
We have even changed the DOF again, the only thing we have not changed is, Kenwright and Moshri.
I'm not anti Frank, and he is on a learning curve, but it alarms me that other teams around us fight and work much better than us, and manage to score on a regular basis without relying on one person.
Answers on a post card please.

They through the cup game with the 2nd string, and the were crap with the first string today.
Frank gambled and lost, instead of tring to win both, total negativity, lost us both.
Team selections all wrong, tactics all wrong, players no bottle, no pride, no intrest.
Time for big changes, not just Frank, this owner despite his money has been a disaster, and got away without a major catastrophy, by good luck, he is clueless and has played football managet with our team.
Any intrested potential owners please get in touch.

Most of the teams listed, are either in european football, or hoping to get in through their league position.
We are playing to stay up, and a good cup run would breed confidence, and help the league position.
Will never understand throwing away a cup game in the only competition we could win.
Maybe its an age thing, but it makes no sence to me, especialy whan they are now going to get 5 weeks rest.

Must put out our best team for this and show our intent.
After the weekend they have a month off, so no problem with fatigue.

We beat Palace 3-0 two games ago...
Sky falling down much?
Palace was the fluke this is the norm, sky looks fine to me

Coote never put a foot wrong.
-
Pure unadulterated Crap right back to last season, not hard to beat at the moment, don't want to going into the long break with this form.
We seam absolutely clueless once we cross the half way line. and he has to stop playing Coleman and Gana.
-
Gaye, and Gordon midfield destroyers, sadly it was our midfield they destroyed.
Give them both a long rest, defensively we were excellent, and that is something to build on.

My vote would be Bielsa with Big Dunc as his assistant. The last thing we need is a big reputation who needs lots of money, we need some one to put fire in the belly, even Shaun Dyche would add bottle.
