  2. I hope we start out like this... .................Howard................. Nev......Jags......Distin......Baines Barkley..Osman...Felli...Arteta ..........Saha........Beckford.......... I won't hold my breath though. I'm going for 3-0 EFC - COYB!
  3. Sunderland's signings from Bent/Henderson cash... George McCartney on loan David Vaughan on a free transfer John O'Shea - £4.5m Wes Brown - £1.5m Roarie Deacon on a free transfer Connor Wickham - £8m Craig Gardner - £5m Dong-Won Ji - £2m Keiren Westwood on a free transfer Sebastian Larsson on a free transfer Ahmed Elmohamady - £1.75m Add to that Segesson for £6m and Muntari on-loan and the probable signing of Krancjaer. They're better off no doubt but would you sell our star player (Baines or Felli) and our potential star (Rodwell) for the list of players above?
  4. They played in the same Sunderland team! They have spent a lot but who in their team would you have in ours? I'd have Gyan and Seggesson maybe Wickam on potential... I would have had Bent and maybe Henderson on potential - so essentially they've sold their best players and bought a lot of average players who will probably make them stronger overall.
  5. If Jags (£20m) + Yobo (£3m) + Yak (£3m) + Beckford (£4m) = £30m and Sturridge (£15m) + Onouha (£6m) + winger + couple of loans (striker/def) = £30m would people be happy? Please note this is very football manager and has no actual chance of happening!!!
  6. Funded by selling Bent and Henderson though. If we sold say Baines/Felli for £44m we could sign 12 average players.
  7. Would we be entertaining the sale of Beckford to fund a loan move for sturridge? If so I'd prefer Sturridge over Beckford but where would that leave us this time next year if we couldn't make Sturridge perm/extended? If there was any link to losing Beckford (for closer to £5-6m) to fund an initial move for Sturridge with future options then I'd encourage any such move.
  8. Good - wouldn't want him as our wing solution - we have too many unnatural wingers already!
  9. Yak and Yobo for Keane and Bentley? Each duo are stagnent at current club - who would benefit more from this totally made up deal?

    Spurs (away)

    I still have my doubts.
  11. Echo'd! Boas has already said he's part of their plans but how with Drogba, Anelka, Torres, Lukaku, Kalou?

  13. I did put surely not on original post! It surely would have been breaking news if true... nothing surprises me at the mo!
  14. Just spoke to my mate after a 23 hour shift - he's got a few hours off before another likely 20 odd hours... He also said he can't see EFC being on this w/e.
  15. http://yfrog.com/ki5lyhhj Surely not!!!
  16. Scum - the army wants to get involved with this and show a zero tollerance attitude. Either stay indoors and be good or get mowed down by a big fuck off tank!
  17. Where did you hear this wind that whispered? Shhhh...
  18. They can have Yak too if they really want! In all honesty though - 2 very good players for a Blackburn, Wigan, etc...

Seeing our right flank as Hibbert and Neville vs Villareal made me quiver on Fri - YUCK!!!

    Spurs (away)

I hope Modric has the same opening day effect on Spurs as Lescott did on us!

    Spurs (away)

If Hibbert scores we riot... 80-1 first or last goal scorer!
  22. Danny Cadamarteri for his 1st few games. Joe Parkinson would have been an England international if it hadn't have been for the cruel injury that ended his career - he was as good as Keane on his day 95/96 season - class. Unsworth should have been better than he was after his England cap. Jeffers - what a waste. Walter Smith's Everton should have been/done much better - Materazzi, Dacourt and Collins - class!
  23. Neuer for me - that 1st leg vs Utd last season was incredible. (won't mention 2nd leg!) Hart is a class keeper though if only we could have raised that £450k to sign him (he'd probably be Crawley's keeper after us ruining him and freeing him!)
