Happy to keep Delph but wanted rid of Davies. Joke of a manager.

I maybe gullible but Benitez wouldn’t be that stupid would he he would easily be caught out if lying
The same Benitiz who successfully turned Liverpool fans against Alonso. (Kopites only called him world class after he left and FIFA made him better at passing in a video game, most bought into the waiter and wanted Barry instead).

Kane is a national (Southgate) hero.
Shame he's been England worse player the last two tournaments. Might have even won the last one with DCL instead.

Oddly enough, this'll be the second mention of cum laude in a week! Just like @markjazzbassist, I too graduated cum laude!
Let me know if you want my therapist's number, Pete!
You clearly struggle to differentiate between facts and opinions so I'd ask for your cum lord money back.

Not a single person was talking about Rafa and you had to come in and take the piss.
Why so negative all the time, Pete? Lemme tell ya, I used to be the same way but therapy is a godsend. I highly recommend it, might make you a happier individual
I'll go to therapy if you go get an education.

Carlo did attract him. Would have been very hard to convince a world class player like James to come otherwise. Definitely wouldn't have joined with the likes of Benetiz.

Whatever you say but Rafa thinks differently, so much so that Gray and Townsend will probably start ahead of him.
Because Rafa would rather a player cross the ball from a certain position into a certain area. Compared to James who make passes most players can't even see are on.
If this was Alladyce no way would the fans be so accepting.

How is this Rafa's fault? He clearly was given next to no money to spend, so of course he's gonna spend what little he has on proven EPL players who he has a good working relationship with.
Jesus, the ignorance on here is astounding.
Ignorance, how so?

I don't think he can, he's a fancy footballer and doesn't have the fitness or fight to make it in the premier league. It speaks volumes that not one club wanted to take him off us, even on a free.
He arrived with a massive wave of expectation, our saviour who was going to lift the gloom from Goodison park but it never quite worked out. As we all know he's a nice footballer but not a bloke I'd want beside me in the trenches.
How hasn't he worked out? When fit he was involved in half our goals. Hard to his fight when most the injuries/niggles were down to getting fouled every week with very little protection from the referees. Only difference is we don't moan about vvd every week.

I think he has already proven that he is more than capable of making it in the Premier League when fit and I don’t see his fitness as much of a problem because I can’t see Rafa staring him in many games anyway, but what an option he could be coming off the bench
He took a massive wage cut to come here. So don't think money is an issue.

Remember when Moyes went to Sunderland and we all laughed at him taking our dregs. Welcome Rondon and Townsend.

Rafa's desperate to succeed here and James wants to play in next year's world cup. I'm optimistic both will get their heads down, set aside whatever personal differences they might have, and do the best they can. I'm happy James is still with us.
One is a football genius, the other just a bloke who wants to manage a club near his home. It's not quite personal differences, it's completely different levels of seeing/playing football.

I don’t think he will be interested in proving a point to anyone and I think Benitez will be seething and probably won’t want him in the team there was already some rumblings about his attitude to training at present he’s not fit enough to play,I just think he and Carlo have had our kecks down, Willian he’s just ripped a 20m contract up to go and play yet James wouldn’t take a pay cut I can’t see him getting in this side any time soon.
James took a massive pay cut to come to us to play football.

I’m sure Rafa could get more out of him but the player has got to be willing to listen, Rafa had him Real Madrid and dropped him but I’m sure he would have tried to work with him before that happened.
See Rafa's treatment of Alonso. He wanted Barry over him rather than build round Alonso.

Bertrand more caps as a Southampton player for England. Delph can't even get picked for Everton so how the heck is he gonna get picked for England?
Gibbs left arsenal at 28.... Again not being picked for them as his career had plummeted.
Bad examples.
The relevance of my point is, if you are good enough you get picked. Everton have had more players represent England than Arsenal and we aren't a top 6 side.
Got bertrand wrong, but the point still stands. Nothing wrong with the Gibbs and Delph examples. I'll add Joe Hart instead of Bertrand then. One of far too many players who were never good enough for England but only got a chance as they were at a top 6.
The other way, look at how long DCL waited for a cap compared to Solanke.
Any how, back on topic. Everton should be looking for better than Arsenal's 4th choice right back.

Before Rafa took over I was thinking we were buying Koulibaily for £50m. given the shitty circumstances I now understand why we have Rafa and I'm fine with the business and decisions he is making.
But how have we gone from having £50m to back one manager to being unable to back the next one.
At the same time people are saying our hands are tied financially we're still getting linked with £30m players.

Because there have been a total of 4 Arsenal players called up for England in the past 9 years ..... In the same time 7 Everton players have been called up.
Simple. The supposed top 6 bias is not evident in this argument.
Either way, Kenny isn't good enough.
How is that relevant?
Point is, if he wasn't at a sky team he wouldn't get called up. How many call ups did Gibbs get after leaving Arsenal. How many did Townsend get after leaving Spurs? How many has Delph had since leaving man city? Bertrand after leaving Chelsea?

They also had a couple pounds lying around after selling Grealish for ONE HUNDRED MILLION.
Just as we did with Lukaku and Stones. Do you know what 'net spend' means?

Based on the fact that arsenal had no other England call ups at the time I don't see your point.

I don't think fans are happy about it, Pete. I for one would love some splashy incomings. But fans are understanding that this is what we get for all of our horrible spending over the last few years.
Rafa has not lowered expectations, you're just a sour-puss stick-in-the-mud.
Before Rafa took over would any of our fans got rid of James for Townsend?

When he's on the pitch it's a 50% chance that he's the one involved with scoring a goal. Creative genius.

I just have this sinking feeling that it'll be Rondon and Maitland-Niles in, and nothing going out. And our transfer window will close with a whimper
Weird thing is a lot of our fans are happy with this. Imagine if we still had Ancelotti, no way would we be happy bringing in the players we have. It's like Rafa coming has lowered our expectations. Nsno straight out the window.

If that was the case I would have thought Kenny would have got the England call up.
Naitland miles marked Salah out the game in the charity shield at full back ... Won motm.
Would he have that call up if he played for a none sky 6? Keiron Gibbs get many more caps after leaving Arsenal.
Cusco Martina had him in his pocket for 89 minutes, and even then it was a slip rather than Salah's skill that let him down.
