pete0 got a reaction from Toffee_in_LA in Everton's use of the loan market
Barry - Formality loan, final year and no place at his parent club. We'll take him on a free (hopefully) once his contract has ran down. Other fans are just annoyed because they thought he is shit and their club didn't snap him up.
Deulofeu - Squad filler, played over 45 mins only twice. Fans are only jealous because he comes from Barca.
Lukaku - Progression loan, went to a mid table club last season and no one batted an eye lid about the loan system. Made a step up to Everton to continue his growth. Not good enough to start for Chelsea, but good enough to start for Everton. They get a better player back and we get a 1 in 2 striker for a season, Win-Win.
I don't see what the problem is. It's not like Watford last year, the players we are taking are surplus to their parent club this season. Would they rather all three rot in the reserves or on the bench at their parent clubs?

I thought he got his foot stuck in the mud as he went for the slide tackle, link is laggy so not had a clear look.

commentators saying about officials being brave enough to make decisions...never understood that..if there's a decision to be made then make it..it's not bravery..it's competence

pete0 reacted to Lowensda in Lacina Traore
Do you know what he'll bring? Space for our attack minded players.
His most effective work will be without the ball (a comparison I made to James McCarthy before he arrived). Crouch does the same but Stoke don't have the players to utilise their opportunities or space. Traore single handedly, will occupy both CB's of the opposition and that gives us an opportunity to stretch the full backs and hit on the overlap (Baines, Coleman).
It's a different tactic but one that can work.
A smaller CB won't go to attack the ball in the air if Traore's the target but attack the ball once it's on the floor. They're usually the quicker of the two CB's, which will allow for the likes of Barkley/Mirallas/Piennar/McGeady to exploit the bigger CB's lack of pace, thus creating a goalscoring opportunity or a new 'route' in the full back position.
On the flipside.
If Traore is man marked against the bigger of the two CB's, he leaves the smaller CB (back to goal) standing stationary, should he get a forward 'flickon'.
He'll be in the conscious mind of both CB's, creating a potential defensive blip for our attacking players to exploit.
I'll be interested to see how he gets on because i've wanted him in the prem for ages. Loved to see if he could hack it. Now I'll get the chance to.

One of the most over rated players around. They'd just have another striker that flatters to deceive.

It was a 1000/1 shot that we'd get drawn against a team that'd go on to knock out ManU & Inter and reach the semis.
(Or a fix to help UEFA out of the embarrassing Liverpool situation.....take your pick)
Won't happen again.

West Ham put a £42 price on entry to their second leg game last night by all accounts.
That's damn stupid. Ok they were never going to turn it around, but why not a cut price entrance fee so people could turn up and savor a semi-final experience. In the end only some 14,000 bothered (or could afford) to turn up , but putting a big discount on entrance prices would have been a decent gesture. Say kids for a pound and adults at five, as I believed mentioned elsewhere. I don't like the club side in question but admit they've got a great set of supporters, who in the simplest terms - deserved better.

Moyes has stated that he will not allow Rooney to be transferred to a rival team in the Premiership. Apparently, Norwich City and Hull City are gutted.

Cunts that block the aisles in the shops. Was in Tesco the other day and four walking abortions were having a chat in the middle of an aisle forming a perfect 'X' shape with their trolleys so that nobody could get past.
Should be illegal and punishable by slapping.

People are only jealous because we're actually doing well. If we'd got these same players, but if it hadn't worked out as well and we were sitting mid-table challenging no one then we'd probably be getting praised for giving these players a chance at regular first team football.
Fuck them and their agenda.

How he gets employment as a manager is beyond me. He's shite.
People will probably complain that it's a case of a black manager not getting a proper chance. Nothing to do with his skin colour, he's just a crap manager.
