  1. Don't always have to spend silly money to get good value for money. and I don't just mean unproven youngster.

some bargains that instantly pop to mind is Arteta, Cahill, Pienaar, Barry, Tarks, Gana.

you have just got to keep away from your Delph type signings.

That's the realy skill, finding the value 'players' that others maybe don't see.

I could scout a 'Gylf' type for £45m.  there's a player who seems to be doing really well, go spend loads of money on him.

Plenty of bargains come in to the Prem every season. we need to get very good at spotting these.

Sammie Szmodics of Blackburn anyone think he could cut the mustard if we get him I think he’s worth a try.

he's 29 in September, so can't see any of our transfer budget (if we have one) being spend on a player who's only really shone this season. Leave him where he is and focus on younger talent.

  3. Leeds missed automatic promotion, if the miss out in the play offs, then I would guess Harrison would be available for another year's loan.

most agree hes not worth the £20m thats been mooted, but he knows the clubs and system we play, so would gladly have him back on loan for another 12 month.

I won't be cheering Leeds on in the play off. I'll be cheering on the Baggies or the Canaries.

You try borrowing 200k on a house valued at 170k you’ve got no chance

other that the fact that you have purchased an appreciating asset.

In 10 years time you asset is likely to be worth £350k -£400k.

key is being able to service the debt on the repayment plan agreed.

i am guessing 777's difficulties will be the short term until they generate the revenues they hope to be able achieve.

Not a lot to say about this game, once again. Also again, the performance wasn't a surprise to me - I was thinking that after the pressure valve was released after securing safety it could mean that we'd take our foot off the pedal subconsciously and obviously Luton still have a lot to play for and would be the team that pushed more.

The onus was on Luton to get the result tonight and ultimately they didn't do enough to get it. So, for me, it was a hard earned and well earned point for us.

    pretty much somes it up.

game turned out to the expected script.

disappointed for Pickford to be out of golden glove award. that would have been a great nod to how well we have done defensively this season. just need to improve the other end a bit next season.

  6. There definately won't be the amount of spending we have been used to seeing, but there will be the odd one or two players that clubs will pay top doller for and I see Jarrad as that type of player - we shouldn't be selling ourselves short.

I have said before, he will be a first class centre back for a top club for 12-15years. Great teams are build off foundation off top centre backs. Some of these clubs generate £100m a season - they can afford it if they really want him.

  7. I think given his physical attributes, age, current ability (never mind now he's only going to improve), and the 4 years on his contract then he is in the mega fee bracket. there is not a team in the country that wouldn't want him.

Was great in a technical Dutch league and even better this year in a more solid defence type (and part of a very good defence in the best league in the world).

definitely in the mega transfer fee bracket. teams build dynasties around a center back like this.

  8. I hope we are able to take this oppertunity to make the points gap even bigger than the 11 we currently have. There have been whisperings of adminsration and another 9 points gap. Now I take rumours with the contempt they deserve. However, it would do no harm whatso ever at being 12points clear of Luton by the last day. Making us relgation proof to a 9point deduction.

As long as we are safe points wise from administration this season, then I would rather take the hit this over next. Don't beleieve it will happen, but not an impossibility.

Point being - win this fucking game just in case!

  9. This game will actually depend massively on what Luton Town bring to it. Many of us have commented of the spirit and fight they have been showing this season which seems to have tailed off a bit this past 3 or 4 games, maybe fatigue of a season.  If they get a second wind it what is argubley the most important game of the season for them now, they are going to make this a very difficult game - I imagine their supporters are going to be well up for it.

It's just nice to be in a game without feeling the worries of the world!!!

Well why else would Moshiri laden the club he's trying to sell with more debt when he's easily capable of funding the running himself?

As a stadium is being built there is obviosley going to be debt - for somebody.

Moshiri is halfway out the door and 777 halfway in - it makes perfect sence for 777 to contol the ongoing debts, as the current plan is for them to run with it as the new owners.

If the sale now falls through, then is was probably the wrong desision to manage the ongoing debt that way. But guess thats why the club have brought the refinancing expert in, to better package our varying debts we hold with different entities to make potential future sale a bit easier.

Ongoing debt is inevitable when building a £700m stadium, greater debt just means the additoanl construction costs to a new owner will be lower. Be it Debt or outstanding build costs it will all be factored in already to club value.

The payment is to keep the club running because the current owner won't is my understanding

As owners in waiting the 'deal' has obviosley been that 777 Partners fund the club running/ ongoing stadium build until paperwork is all sign sealed and delivered on the deal.

It will not be simple becasue the owners won't pay, it will be becasue that's what the current agreement is between 777 and Moshiri.

Situations changes if Moshiri is back to square one in any sale of the club - he'll have to sort out ongoing payment in another way, (plus have a 777 loan on the books) but we are not at this stage - yet.

I read that wages were not going to be paid this month had 777 not put 16 million in at the death to once again keep us afloat, that would suggest to me that Moshiri is standing by his word that he is not prepared to put any more of his own money into the club.

There is lots of stuff to read - most is just scare mongering media, and simply suggesting that Moshiri will just let the club go in to administration rather than see the bills paid. That is not on the card becasue there is no real need for all those entities who have 100's of millions invested in Everton FC to lose a good chuck of there money, Moshiri losing the most as he will be at the very back of the que as any administrator divies us up to creditors. Moshiri has little choice if 777 simply fail.

My guess is if 777 miss a payment, then they lose the exclusivity they are currently afforded to buy this club. After working so hard to get in the position they are in, they will do all they can to remain in the boss seat to buy the club.

If there has been a whiff of 777 struggling to meet payments they are currently obliged to pay, then its no suprise to have been reading stories this past week of companies being consulted about sounding out alternative buyers/investor to 777, or restructor the debt profile. The heat is on 777 to get this all sorted out or they will have missed their opertunity.

That the way I see it.

Been abroad for the weekend but did catch the Brentford game. Just watched Dyche's interview and he looked so chuffed with the 3 wins in the last week and that we have clinched survival. Seems to me he cares a lot about our club.

He definately feels a lot of pride in being the manager of Everton FC. Not sure we can say the same of may of those have come before him, who have simply seen us as a big pay cheque or a stepping stone.

The thing I find most unsavoury about this whole thing is that Moshiri would rather see his employees go without wages and their families suffer, rather than take onboard the responsibility for the shit show he has created and keep the club afloat.
I have no idea what his going on with the PL and 777 yet without the 200 million 777 have put into the club we would have gone into administration long before now and with a another possible 9 points deduction would more than likely be playing Championship football next season, I don’t understand why so many have a problem with 777 just think where we might have been without their commitment and investment to buying the club.

I agree that 777 are showing commitment - and I generally have a glass half full view of new potential new owners.

But them putting the money in monthly must be part of this 'exclusivity' deal they have for buying it - the 'deal' was agreed back in September. By the sounds of it the reason the deal has not yet been ratified and then signed sealed and delivered is that 777 have not demonstated they have enough money available just yet to meet the rules of buying a PL club (fortunately rule which are there to protect us in the short term) - ball is in 777's court to sort there end out.

If 777 Partners couldn't find the money (to meet what I would think is contractually there obligation at the moment), then who's to say Moshiri would not have covered operating costs (if the 777 deal essencially collapses) - otherwise the administrators come it and a lot of people lose a lot a money - which is not going to happen based on all the things I have read. I am no Moshiri fan, but it's a little much calling him out and saying he would rather see his employees go without wages and their families suffer.

The fact this is all taking so long is purely 777's fault, for not having adequate funding in place to commit the best part of a £1Billion to buy a PL football club of Evertons size.

They could well strip and flip, that's what scares me and short term that destroys us.

I really can't see that at all - some of are parts are worth less than whole for which they are going to pay for.

Our value is in the fact we have been the worst run club in the Premiership, when traditionally/historical we are argubley the 4-5 most decorated club in the land. Real value is making this great club relavent again.

For all their other shortcoming I feel this is what 777 Partners truly see in us.

Nobody would argue that we have been very badly run, so masses of room to improve this.

Bugger. They really do want us at least.

thats one big thing going in the favour - they really really want to own us. They must really see considerable value in us and have a plan to get our revenue streams up and us operating more like a business. I have no doubt we would get the full attention of their very top sports business people. I am a big beleiver in having the rigth proffessional people in charge, we are living proof of what happens with the wrong people make the grown up desisions. I think it's as, if not more, important than simply money.

Once the stadium is built then the 'big investment' has been done. We all know owners can't simply bank roll a club nowerdays, the smart owners are those who are going to get maximum revenue from the Everton brand. Its forward thinking smart sports business people that are going to make the difference.

Do 777 Partners have these?, or willing to employ them? - that's what remains to be seen, there definately not coming in to throw cash at it.
